it is in these moments that I have learned to burn a little brighter

Last night I had a dream we were inseparably entwined, Like a piece of rope made out of two pieces of vine Held together, holding each other with no one else in mind Like two atoms in a molecule inseparably combined. But then I woke from the dream to realise I was alone A tragic event I must admit but let's not be overblown I'm not trying to write a love song just a sad, pathetic moan Maybe I just need a change, maybe I just need a new cologne. So now I look at love like being stabbed in the heart You torture each other from day to day and then one day you part Most of the time it's misery but there's some joy at the start Oh for that I'd say it's worth it, just use a blade that's short and sharp on me. And if love is just a game then how come it's no fun If love is just a game how come I've never won I guess maybe it's possible I might be playing it wrong And that's why every time I roll the dice I always come undone.

Everyone should smile. Life really isn’t that serious. We make it hard. The sun rises. The sun sets. We just tend to complicate the process.

Quote
We are living in a culture entirely hypnotized by the illusion of time, in which the so-called present moment is felt as nothing but an infinitesimal hairline between an all-powerfully causative past and an absorbingly important future. We have no present. Our consciousness is almost completely preoccupied with memory and expectation. We do not realize that there never was, is, nor will be any other experience than present experience. We are therefore out of touch with reality. We confuse the world as talked about, described, and measured with the world which actually is. We are sick with a fascination for the useful tools of names and numbers, of symbols, signs, conceptions and ideas.
Alan Watts (via dahliasonthewater)

"I am my own favorite song that I’m just now learning all the words to."
Our friends at Soul Pancake have started a new video series, in collaboration with Darling magazine, and the first installment is a frank discussion with multiple women about body image and beauty. At TWLOHA, we talk to so many supporters—women and men alike—who have faced physical insecurities and sought treatment for eating disorders. But we’re hopeful that conversations like the one above will encourage honesty, acceptance, and acknowledgment of true beauty.
Tell someone today why you find them beautiful, the way they are.
(P.S. Stick around to the end of the video for some inspiring spoken word from Natalie Patterson.)

yknow people make fun of ghibli tears… but I think they aren’t made to portray what they look like on others, but instead how they feel like to us, when WE cry. Doesn’t it always feel much bigger/vision impeding when it happens to us as we experience it?
