It’s really not all that hard to find reference pictures of folks who have had top surgery so you can draw trans bodies with accuracy. All reputable surgeons who perform top surgery have a portfolio of their work online. There’s countless photos out there of different types of contouring and scarring and they don’t look at all like a ripped cis guy with little lines under each pec.

Here’s a couple patients from Dr Scott Mosser’s website

There’s tons of ppl who decided to not get nipple grafts. They need love too! Plenty of folks decide not to keep their nipples because the healing process is for some ppl more annoying to heal than the actual incisions. The person on the left here has two incisions, and the one on the right has one incision going all the way across the chest. It’s very common for folks with big chests pre-op to end up getting the type of incision that goes all the way around the front! Keep this in mind if you’re drawing fat characters!

Sometimes folks with dark skin will have nipple grafts that appear pink. Keep in mind when drawing characters with dark skin! This coloration is ofc not always the case, as pictured on the rightside pic

Here’s an example of a common occurrence after top surgery called “dog-ears.” This is when excess skin sometimes gathers near the very end of the incisions on either side of the rib. Dog-ears are also super common with patients who had a large chest pre-op (notice this person also has an incision all the way across the front! I chose this pic bc of that combination of features).

Also keep in mind scars don’t heal symmetrically! Sometimes keloids (the risen, “puffy” parts of the scars) will form.

In summation: top surgery looks incredibly different on every person, and your art should reflect that! If you’re going to draw trans bodies, make sure you actually look at them

You are probably wondering how you came to such a position, well, this whole thing started when you wanted to make a score, a very big score. And what better way than to steal from a bank. But be very much thorough. Immediately stopping in your tracks from your hiding spot. You hid there all day, evading the security guards while they did a sweep of the place, tripped the alarms and cameras, only to run into one of Gotham's crime bosses. Harvey immediately knew something was up, he motioned his underlings to scope out the place. You evaded a whole security system, how hard can hiding from a bunch of goons be.

Very hard actually, one pointed a gun directly at you, “Over there boss!” a bunch of footsteps stalking toward you, raising your hands and calling “Time out! Time out!” stepping from behind the cabinet, “Hey, let me just leave, I tripped the whole place! We don’t even have to split the money! I’ll take my life happily!” walking backwards towards the entrance. “You tripped the wires?” nodding your head, “Uh, yeah,” “And you had a plan to get the money,” “Sort of,” Two-face paused looking, Above you? “Can you shoot a Bat?” His voice was threatening and you didn’t want to turn around either, fearing what was behind you, “I shot darts once, and won?” he huffeed in frustration “DUCK!” you followed your new found orders and covered your head on the floor, loud bangs and crashes could be heard. And with all the commotion going on, you rolled and crawled your way past the flying bullets, crawling to the vaults, while it wasn't the biggest vault, it had something.

You heard the loud sounds coming slowly to a stop, as you hurriedly tried cracking the vault, “Kid! Time to go!” you were picked up and dragged by your shirt collar, up on your feet now. You didn’t question it, following Harvey out the bank, and into the car that rounded the corner. “Who’s the kid?” the driver asked, turning to face you, “I tripped the wires, and escaped Batman,” you said matter of factly. Two-Face scoffed “You barely escaped Batman, I had to save you twice! You owe me big for that job!” “Wait, so, I get to work with the Two-face!” pausing “Do I get a cool two themed name too?” “Absolutely not. And You work for me not with me,” he corrected.

Vampire thoughts ✨

They should definitely be explored in other tropes instead of love stories, (Most of them are badly written in my opinion that will make a good sum of people mad--) but can you imagine a sitcom of vampires trying to fit into their environments with the locals (Wanda vision style). Like Jack is trying to convince the other neighborhood homeschool kids he can only play outside at night, and they go through the most wacky events at night thinking they are hiding well but the neighbors are just suspicious because they never see them in daylight- anyways!
