I'd like to thank Christopher Paolini for improving his writing of women. I was reading Brisingr and like three women were described as having thin waists bro can they not have any other defining attributes? Despite that critiscm, there are quite a few female characters that are pretty well written, my hot take is that I'm not a big fan of Arya or however her name is spelled, I find that she's "strong women with no actual character traits" the only time she opens up about her past its about this guy who she may have been in love with/implied? Anyway if you have any other thoughts I'd like to hear them.

Unpopular Opinion: I do not want Arthur and John to be canon gay.

While I absolutely enjoy the love and romance and sexy fanfics of them, and actively seek them out, and talk all the time about how gay they are, I do not want them to be a homosexual couple.

I like that Harlan stated they will not be romantically involved. I love how that's essentially established they are queer platonic partners. They are not friends. They are not lovers. They are something altogether different but just as powerfully connected.

I think there is a devastating lack of aromantic and asexual relationships in all media, and this, what Arthur and John have, is so pure, so concentrated, and just as powerful, it makes me want to rip my skin off and cry tears of unfathomable joy.

When I was a beginner artist I would show people my art and they brushed it off, sometimes even critiqued it and made me feel bad about my art.
