Archeology has been done on the sea floor, if we count tidal flats as sea floor. Though (as far as I understand it) the digging part is both very very time limited and will be undone by the sea as soon as the tide rises again.

Anyway, look up the recent research on Rungholt (drowned medieval town in the Wadden Sea) if you are interested in that kind of thing.

Do you ever think about Doggerland?

Like how fucked up is it that it’s just….. gone.

I tend to forget about it and then when I remember it again I’m like “Oh yeah! There’s like an entire country sized stretch of land that’s just fucking GONE.

The goal for this sketch is a dragon on a mountaintop spitting out fire that encompasses/forms the sun (or something along these lines). His facial expression gives me cat-spitting-out-a-hairball-vibes though XD.

Thanks to this photo I noticed that the fireball-sun and the wings look like a figure giving a loving hug, so that's neat.

[ID: The Sea Snake Lionfish from Li's Friends, coloured with broad stripes of black and orange-ish red, the black stripes subdivided by smaller yellow stripes and the red stripes by white ones. This venomous friend was coloured mostly with watercolour brush pens, often layered for shading in a criss-crossing way to suggest scales. End ID]

This was also an experiment in trying to utilise that you can't evenly fill out larger areas using these pens. I am quite happy with the results ☺️.

I'm alive!

Have a sketch of one gnarly older dragon (I have headcanon's for the developmental stages of the horns!).

I have no idea if any living beings lips can actually snarl-growl move like that, but I had already drawn her with that nasty nose wrinkling expression (totally not inspired by a nasty bullying mare I know), when I decided she also needed to show some teeth in the corner of her mouth.

The last months my very low creative energy was mostly put into a bit of sewing and some silly short poems, further adding to my list of unfinished projects instead of reducing it, but God knows I can't resists drawing dragons for long.

PS: You know what would greatly inspire me to turn this into a proper painting? Interesting colour suggestions.

PPS: I have also coloured a bunch of pages of a certain colouring book, anyone want to see that?
