All of these jewelry pieces are welded not soldered. The equipment used is resistance spot welding ranging from capacitor discharge to high frequency inverter. My work in titanium in under graduate and graduate studies in the early 80′s led me on a path to learn as much as I could about welding. I ended up working for an equipment manufacturer for five years becoming their in-house expert and later starting my own business www.microwelder.com. I have published several papers on welding at the Santa Fe Symposium on Manufacturing Jewelry Technology. In the early days welding in the jewelry industry was limited to joining findings and tacking components together for subsequent soldering operations. Today lasers are at the front of welding technology in jewelry, but the costs are prohibitive for most artist. I continue to produce welded pieces to date. Facebook titaniumart www.titaniumart.com
