Thinking of ford being the needy one in the relationship, it's not that Stan isn't affectionate, he is, but ford is much more needy. He doesn't show it a lot publicly (not really afraid of PDA or anything just doesn't think about it) but behind closed doors where he and Stan can be together? Immediately on top of Stan. Cuddling on the bed/couch, soft kisses, sitting on Stan's lap, spooning. Especially post weirdmeggedon, he needs physical evidence to know that his brother is still here with him. Alive and well. And the fact he thrives on praise? Of course Stan is the one indulging ford in that too.
