I’m not sure if any of my followers or mutuals were around to see the earliest of my Star Trek art (2020), but I took a peek at them for funsies and it dawned on me just how explosive they are. Star Trek gives color to my art like nothing else does and I love seeing how, as my interest in it grows and expands to include more and more of the shows, I never let go of the color.

Color is one of those things I struggle with a lot because I’m a very emotive artist and I feel like if I don’t get the color JUST right I’m essentially ruining the entire purpose of the piece and it just made me really happy to see that Star Trek makes me utilize color in a way that makes it So Very Obvious that it is truly, for a lack of a better term, the greatest love of my life.

In this picture you can see how much the artist craves summer 🏖️ As I've told you, I haven't completely abandoned digital painting. So just look at them! Where are they? Risa? Some Cardassian tourist planet? I want to know more

It was mentioned in Una McCormack's "The Crimson Shadow" that Cardassians grew fond of coffee and I think it is totally true. Also so-called ikri buns were mentioned. But the catalyst for me to draw this picture, however, was a scene that my mom saw in the street: an ambulance stopped near ice-cream stand and two EMTs went there to buy ice cream. We agreed that this certainly had Bashir & Parmak vibes and I got so inspired that literally next day drew THIS. The Cardassian version of ice-cream stand, but with buns and coffee, ambulance skimmer and two very serious doctors while on duty. And I wonder what else do they sell in such stands... Any ideas on Cardassian street-food? :) UPD: Now with fragments under cut!

love that one scene where julian is complaining about turning 30 to garak and garak is coping so hard but trying not to show it. he's like well im old and on my planet young hot twink doctors would be throwing themselves at me because im mature and wise due to my age. just something to think about, doctor :)
