“i think this is a good place to set our stuff down,” you smiled beneath your sunhat, “it’s away from most people, like you wanted!”

tamaki nodded, smiling with you. he set down the cooler and umbrellas as you unpacked your own load. “thank you.”

“it’s no problem, really. though…” you gave him a once over, tamaki already predicting your words. “i’m still a liiittle disappointed that you decided to wear a swim shirt.” you gave him a teasing grin.

he playfully rolled his eyes, retorting with an: “it’s too embarrassing…” as a response.

you finished setting everything up, looking towards his direction before saying, “last one to the ocean gets to get bombarded with water!” changing into a fast sprint as he was caught temporarily off guard. to slow him down, you shot a very minimized attack from your quirk that would do no damage as you reached the cool water, a stark contrast to the heat from the sand that felt as if it were scorching your feet.

immediately, you forced yourself to submerge into the water as you used force to propel the ocean at your target. tamaki made a noise that was half surprise and half laughter as your attack hit like a wave.

he could hear your charming giggling fit as he recovered; bringing him to come in with you as he activated his quirk. tentacles grew from his fingers as he smacked them against the surface of the water, splashing it everywhere (but mostly on you). you should’ve denied him eating the takoyaki in the car ride coming here.

a full out battlefield is what anyone passing by would see— which, thank goodness, was no one at all. you really did find a good secluded place to stay at.

and after it all, after the two of you felt enough salt was embedded into your bloodstreams, he swiftly took you underwater. his arms were placed comfortingly around you, both of your faces close in proximity.

and at the same time, you both closed the gap for a short but loving kiss.

when you emerged above the seawater with him equally in your arms, you softly laughed.

“you taste like salt!”

Shoto was different in the last few days, his mind was full and his heart was heavy. He wasn't talking to anyone and he wasn't eating well either. You thought it might be a problem with his father, and you promptly went to help him.

You took his hand and went to a more reserved place when the last class of the day was over, confusion was stamped on his face, he tried to remove his hand from yours several times, but you just pressed harder to show him that you wouldn't let him go.

When you arrived in an empty room you closed the door and looked at Shoto.

‘’You didn't have to pull me like a child, just tell me what you want,’’ he said in a cold voice and emotionless eyes. That comment made you a little sad because he was never like that with you, but you left it aside because you couldn't blame him.

‘’Sorry Shoto, I just want to know what's going on. Why are you so quiet? And why are you not eating well? I’m here to help you, you know that right?’’ You said sweetly when you tried to touch his arm, he quickly pulled away from your touch.

‘’I don't need your help, just leave me alone.’’ He tried to leave the room but you stepped in front of him, placing your hands on his chest in an attempt to stop him.

‘’Don't touch me,’’ he said with hatred in his voice.

You were even more confused. You know he was having problems but why was he taking his anger out on you?

‘’Fuck Shoto I'm just trying to help you and you're acting like an asshole, you don't have to treat me like this when I just want to help you’’ You say trying to contain the tears that were already forming in your eyes.

He laughed scornfully and looked at you.

‘’I really don't need your fucking help, I never needed you and this is not the time I'm going to need it. Just stay away from me, Y / n.’’ He passed you by opening the door and slamming it when he left.

You were paralyzed for a few seconds, Shoto had never yelled at you or looked at you like that before. He was always so calm and sweet that just that thought made your heart ache. He always told you that his biggest fear was becoming like Endeavor, but here he was, being identical to his father.

At night you were in your room trying to forget your broken heart until you heard a knock on your door. You prayed it wasn't Shoto, because you couldn't bear to see him without remembering how he hurt you, but your prayers didn't help when you opened the door and saw your boyfriend with a small flower of your favorite color in his hands.

You looked at his eyes, which were swollen and red, as if he had been crying for hours. Silence took over your mind and your room, he looked at you and the second your eyes met, tears started to flow down Shoto's cheeks. Without thinking twice he hugs your waist tightly while he puts his head on your neck, sobs filled the silence.

You didn't know how to react, he had hurt you and now he was hugging you?

‘’I-I’m sorry’’ he whispered against your neck as his tears wet your skin.

He spent a few minutes holding you, his heart was even more broken than yours. He looked at you and you saw fear and sadness in those beautiful eyes.

‘’Just let me explain baby, p-please’’ he whispered as he rubbed a hand over your cheek, wiping away a tear. You just gave a slight nod and you sat on your bed. You could only look at the flower in your hands that he had given you a few minutes ago while he was telling you about what was happening to him. When he was finished, you were just silent for a few seconds.

‘’I understand that you have problems, b-but I don't understand why you took it out on me, I just wanted to help you.’’ Your voice was broken and it brought tears back to Shoto's eyes

‘’I know my love, I know I was horrible to you and it breaks me. I know I made a mistake, and I will try my best every day to be someone better for you, I don't deserve your forgiveness Y / n, but I beg you for it. I know I don't deserve you but I c-can't live without you.’’ He was so afraid of becoming like his father, he was so afraid to see the same fear of his mother in your eyes.

You finally looked at him. ‘’I forgive you Shoto, but I hope it doesn't happen again, because that shit hurt.’’

He just nodded and took a deep breath before hugging you and giving the lightest and kindest kisses on your neck and shoulder while whispering sweet words to you; how much he loves you and that you are his world, how he would never hurt you again. He will spend hours and hours just hugging you and kissing you, holding you as if you are the most important thing in his life, because you really are and he will show you this in every possible way.
