Your blog was hacked: what to do?

If you see weird pics of ladies with dubious links posted on your blog out of the blue, here’s a step by step way of stopping this and preventing it from happening again that I think might work.

Important : this only works if you can still access your blog!

Changing your password is important, but it won’t do you any good if your hacker still has an opened session on your blog and can still access it. So the first thing you wanna do is close your hacker’s session.

For that you need to go in your blog’s settings:

On the new page opened, scroll all the way down. There, you can see something called “Active Sessions“. The first and oldest one (”current session” in green) should be yours, the new one should be the hacker’s session. To close your hacker’s session, click the gray X next to it.

Now that their session is closed, they can’t access your blog anymore unless they enter the password again.

So don’t lose time, go all the way back up and change your password immediately. Make also sure your hacker didn’t change your email address.

Now you should be safe from your hacker. But it won’t prevent you from getting hacked again.

If you really want to be safe from hackers, you should turn on the “Two-factor authentification��� option (on the same page).

It requires you to enter your phone number, which is a bummer. But if it’s turned on, everytime you wanna log on (so not if your session is already opened, but only if you log off and try to log on again), it will send a code on your phone that you’ll have to enter (in addition to having a password).

That way if someone tries to hack you again, even if they get your password right, they won’t be able to enter your blog without having that code.

There it is. I hope it will help some of you, since I see more and more people noticing blogs being hacked

(WIP) Team Alpha; End of mission report:

*sigh* "Recording begin, Agent Pink of Project Lazur.

Mission 17/B... Mission class: retrieval. Respectively codenamed: Sarcophagus.

Of all selected personnel to accompany the mission only a few of us returned. There were 8 of us when we arrived on scene. 4 on Team Alpha, 4 on Team Bravo.

2 were confirmed dead in battle. We arent aware of the other soldiers whereabouts. Of the 3 that made it back, Agent Blue is severely injured on the entire right half of his body, his armor has been rendered completely useless.

It was infected with a black substance that our research team hasn't identified yet. The only thing I saw of it was those tentacles... Red tried to help him up after he fell down but the second he put his hands on Blue, he started to scream. I never thought I'd ever hear a noise like that come out of him... he always seemed like the toughest out of our squad I didn't think something could take him out like that.

That stuff crawled around his arm, and the medics told me that something was shot through his entire arm. In a straight line. The flesh and muscle in his arm isn't there anymore, it's just hollowed holes. It was just hit arm though, I can't imagine what Blue had to go through. Apparently he was unconscious while Red was trying to pick him up. The medics said he must have passed out from the pain but I'm scared that stuff found it's way to his brain. He's still breathing, but he's in a coma... I know he'll come out of it but I'm scared it won't be him when he comes to.

It’s okay to miss someone that meant a lot to you, but be confident with where you are and who you’ll become.

"You're dripping with sweat, I don't think you can handle this." Mertle said despairingly.

"If I can't handle this, Joshua's going to kill all of us."

"I think you need to at least take a break. If you kill yourself training like this we'll die anyway."

"There's not gonna be any breaks in our fight. I need to build up an endurance, maybe learn a better breathing technique, anything."

"I'm willing to help you with this, but you need to help me too. I can't watch you destroy your body just trying to get ready for a fight, you have more than enough time to prepare for him."

The atmosphere was completely cut when the door to the training room flew open.

"No... he doesn't."

Joshua was standing in the doorway, covered in blood and cuts. He fought his way here.

Stop being so afraid to be confident. There’s actually a lot of great things about you. Don’t deny those things, embrace them. You’re beautiful and smart and kind and you need to stop punishing yourself for acknowledging it and trying to believe it.
