American student: “Ugh I hate high school. I hate the drama and how everyone’s always gossiping about me. I hate these assholes can’t just leave me alone? BTW, I hate having no friends and... being alone all the time...”
American student: “Homeschooling? But how will you make friends and socialize?”
American students: our educational system is shit and we hate it, this is torture not learning
American students: *meet homeschooled person* ????? No you have to go to real school or you won’t learn anything

You have to utilize who you are in your work. Nobody else can do that: nobody else can pull from your background, from your parents, your upbringing, your whole life experience.

We actually enjoyed an episode?! In this mid-season finale, it’s laughs aplenty as the women (not girls) try to throw a Christmas party, Parker attempts to steal their Charmed DNA, Macy wears (pants), and Galvin passes out on the toilet. Jingle hell is other people, Archie.

Just like Slughorn, Albus Dumbledore collects people. Only, instead of focusing on those with influence, he looks to the outcasts.
The expelled half-giant. The young werewolf. The repentant Death Eater.
He protects them and gives them a second chance. All he asks in return is their loyalty.
And, if on occasion he requests that they undertake a certain task, invoking their debt of gratitude - well, that is no more than he is owed.
He once thought to add a certain disowned Black to his collection, but quickly realised his mistake.
Sirius is not an outcast, but a rebel. He knowingly chose his path, and chooses what price he is willing to pay for it. He refuses to be used.
So Albus Dumbledore abandons him.

Using social media at this point i my life, is like spending the day going into each room in my house, hoping a friend is there, only to find it empty, but instead of calling him up or going outside of my house to see him, I just keep going into the same rooms over and over again till I fall asleep.

This honestly sounds very plausible
Random Headcanon: Link’s androgyny isn’t just an artefact of the Zelda franchise’s art direction - and neither is it particularly unusual. Sexual dimorphism among Hylians is legitimately much lower than among real-world humans; if Link and Zelda swapped clothes, you’d never be able to tell who was the girl and who was the boy.
Consequently, Hylian society depends heavily on clothing to establish gender roles, to the extent that it’s a severe faux pas to question someone’s gender presentation. If they’re dressed like a girl, then they’re a girl - even if they were dressed like a boy yesterday. That’s why nobody ever remarks upon the fact that Zelda and her heroic alter-ego Sheik are different genders; it’d be gauche at best to bring it up.

I don’t care about Rick’s depression.
We’re supposed to feel bad for Rick from “Rick & Morty” for having depression, and it’s to excuse his awful behavior. But I don’t think it does. For three reasons:
* Lots of people have depression, and they can manage not being abusive to the people that should matter to them
* Being depressed for living in a “meaningless” universe doesn’t make his depression magically special. Depression is painful regardless of the cause. And it’s actually dumb to be depressed over that, cause the alternative is to live in a universe that serves god (more on this below) and we can still having personal meaning in our lives.
* I don’t want to say his depression is “his fault”, but if all the interpretations I’ve seen are right, then all he has to do is try to change his way of thinking, which is something he can do.
About the alternative to a meaningless universe: The reason why the universe is considered “meaningless” seems to be because there isn’t a creator to give things official meaning. So if this is so, then a universe that has meaning would be one where there is God, which means the “meaning of life” is to be a subserviant to God, to be his slave. Now which is worse: to live in a universe that has no “official” meaning, but one where we can give our lives personal meaning, or one were there is “official” meaning, but that “meaning” is to be a slave?
I think all the Atheists know which one is better, and why that option isn’t depressing, but a blessing.
