How class A passed the entrance exam
Just because some people get a little lost as to how characters past the physical sometimes. This is all based on my own thoughts (and canon if applicable)
Aoyama: Pretty obvious. He shoots them.
Ashido: Also a given.
Asui: While she definitely has physical strength, I see her getting in more with rescue points than villain points. I say this because we see on a few occasions that she prioritises others over herself. For example: In the USJ attack, when Shigaraki is about to decay her, Tsu goes to grab Midoriya from the Nomu instead of getting herself away from Shiggy.
Iida: We get to see this one happen. Boy's got strong legs.
Uraraka: Another one we get to see.
Ojiro: We get to see how he takes down the robots in the sports festival. His tail is simply that strong. He'd do the same in the exam.
Kaminari: Pretty easy to understand. Shocky boi shocks things.
Kirishima: Also an easy one. However, I'd like to note that he had a near equal amount of of villain to rescue points, which is a nice touch as we latter see him coming to terms with the fact that he's not just useful for attacking. He realises he's also a good shield.
Kouda: I see him just sending birds to get close and overwhelm the robots and being able to mess up wiring.
Satou: Man's strong.
Shouji: He's got a solid punch but I do see him getting in due to rescue points. This one doesn't have the same basis as Asui. He just gives off that vibe.
Jirou: She shows how she handles the robots during the sports festival too. If she plugs in her quirk, she can project her heartbeat into it. Doing so ends up destroying the robots.
Sero: He has solid manoeuvrability and his quirk is perfect for restraints. I doubt he had a hard time.
Tokoyami: Dark Shadow is a great defensive quirk. Easy points.
Todoroki: Recommendations.
Hagakure: She could sneak up and just fuck up the wiring or some shit.
Bakugou: Explosions.
Midorya: We get to see a play by play.
Mineta: "the goal of the entrance exam was to incapacitate the robots, so Mineta stuck his balls to the ground and walls, setting traps. He also plugged their cannons with balls." -Horikoshi
Yaoyorozu: Recommendations.

How I love dramatic Hawks
There are so many things this man does that are so extra
The falling of feathers: Hawks has the ability to control each individual feather and yet when he wants to add some dramatics, he leaves feathers on there own to cascade gracefully to the floor.
Flapping his wings: He doesn't need to. We see that in the war ark when he lost a lot of his feathers from the previous fight. At that moment, he was keeping himself afloat by just levitating with whats left of his wings. Every moment Hawks flaps his wings is a conscious thought just to make it look like his wing need to move to keep him in the air.
Looking through feathers: Hawks has multiple dramatic shots where he peers through the gaps of his feathers, and it looks cool as fuck from the perspective of the viewer, but god would he look dumb at any other angle. Imagine walking by while he does that. Man's just standing with his wing awkwardly curled around himself.
Just the fact that he bowed when talking to the HPSC President: He didn't do a formal bow by Japanese standards (which would have the arms at the side), he went in with one arm to his chest, one behind his back, and one leg in front of the other.
Eyeliner: We all know Hawks has those cool eye markings. But they aren't markings. AFO takes his quirk and he still has them. If they were there because of his quirk, they would have gone away with his wings, but he still has them. This man was going into a war and he still took time out of his day to do his eyeliner. King shit.

Just some things I noticed while reading the manga (may it be that I didn't pick up on it in the anime or it just wasn't there)
The first is from Monoma's description area that Horikoshi adds which A) gives a little more detail as to what goes on in Monama's head and (more importantly) B) says that "in Katsuki's mind, Monoma is a war criminal"... which is just really funny that Bakugou hates Monoma that much
Tumblr media
Here we see that Bakugou called Todoroki by his name, which is interesting as -in the anime- I'm pretty sure he only says Kirishima and Uraraka's names during the sports festival
Tumblr media
Lastly, Midoriya had no faith in Sero 😞 I know that it makes complete sense that Todoroki would win -I never thought he wouldn't- but having Midoriya say so confidently "my second's against Todoroki" with zero thought towards the possibility of Sero winning was kinda funny to me
Tumblr media
^^ also, if Sero was put against someone else, he probably would have gotten further... the luck of the draw I suppose

Just saw someone say that they don't like what My Hero Academia does with it's villains because it acts like "some people can't just be bad people" as is AFO and Overhaul don't exist.
They also said that it portrays an idea that "if tragic backstory, then actions are excused" despite the fact that Ochaco literally says to Himiko "there are thing you have done that I could never forgive" and Shoto tells Dabi "you're the only one that choose to burn people" which is basically him saying "yeah bad shit happened to us, but that doesn't excuse murder".
Mr Compress has no tragic back story. He is just there because he want's to change how society works. Gentle Criminal is just straight up a good person and hardly a criminal, but he still went to jail for the crimes he did commit.
But somehow this person thinks all the villains have been written to have an excuse for their crimes and will get a peaceful end, despite all of them being either in jail or dead.
This person was saying that they would rather these heroes just go on and kill their opponents. No questions asked.
Like, a point was clearly made through Dabi's 'expose heroes' video that heroes aren't supposed to kill. That's why Hawks had his place in the video. Because he killed his opponent.
And I just had to stare at that for a second and consider if they actually understood any of the characters or the message of the show. It's like they didn't digest any of the information that was put in front of them.
It got me rather heated, I can't lie.

I got some of the earlier manga and I found it kinda funny that, during the quick training montage before the sports festival, Kaminari just plugged himself into an outlet... thats all i have to say

also I can't figure out how to make the image smaller :(

Just me trying to think of a sort of pre-canon timeline (with ages b/c that made it easier for me to math and little points to clear thing up [for my sake mostly])
I make up a lot of ages as most pre-canon characters dont have ages (to my knowledge) and if they do have canon ages, I will not be changing this. that's to much work.
(2093) Quirks first manifest
Tech is obviously more advanced in MHA so it is not a close future, but it doesn’t feel like a far future
I chose a random year and based everything else off of that
(2114) AFO & Yoichi are born
Imma say Yoich is like, 2 years younger than AFO or something
(2137) Yoichi gets OFA; AFO: 25, Yoichi: 23
(2140) Kudo & Bruce save Yoichi; AFO: 28, Yoichi: 26, Kudo: 25, Bruce: 27
Kudo & Bruce are part of a resistance
AFO goes after Yoichi and a battle breaks out
Yoichi dies in the battle, Kudo gets OFA through his blood, keeps fighting, but dies in the same battle while passing off OFA to Bruce
AFO leaves (boo hoo, baby bro died) and Bruce hide because of ✨trauma✨ (I say thing like this when it doesn't get explained in canon)
In the time from now to next, AFO learns about OFA transferring and shit (I don’t think they ever truly explained how AFO knows about OFA)
(2148) Bruce gives Hikage OFA; Bruce: 35, Hikage: 22
Hikage hides, knowing he is not strong enough to fight AFO
Sometime between now and next, Banjo finds where Hikage is being a hermit and they become friends or something (they have to get close somehow)
(2166) Hikage to Banjo; Hikage: 40, Banjo: 28
Hikage dies due to having an incompatible body with OFA (or whatever they said in canon)
(2177) Banjo to En; Banjo: 39, En: 21
Gave OFA to En upon death in a battle against AFO
(2189) En to Nana; En: 33, Nana: 23
Gave OFA upon death in the same way as Banjo
(2190) Nana has Kotaro; Nana: 24
(2192 )Meeting little Toshinori; Nana: 26, Toshinori: 14, Kotaro: 2
(2197) Leaving Kotaro; Nana: 31, A.M: 19, Kotaro: 7
Nana Leaves Kotaro after her husband dies from a villain attack
Kotaro is still obviously young, but can retain the memories of Nana, thus I made him 7
(2199) Nana dies; Nana: 33, A.M: 21
All Might then goes to America
(2200) All Might meets David Shield; A.M: 22, David: 22
(2202) All Might saves Cathleen Bate (Star and Stripe); A.M & David; 24, Catie: 11
(2202-2206) All Might helping Catie; A.m: 24-28 , Catie: 11-15
Helping prepare for hero school ‘n’ shit
Catie called him her master, so they need the connection
(2209) All Might’s debut in Japan; A.M: 31
(2212) Tenko’s Birth; Kotaro: 22
(2217) Kotaro dies; Kotaro: 27, Tenko: 5
It’s not said how old Shiggy was when this happened so I’m just saying he got his quirk and shit escalated fast
(2221) All Might Meets Tsukauchi; A.M 43, Tsukauchi: 24
The two are close friends so they need to meet at some point
Tsukauchi is 36 in canon, the math is mathing
(2223) All Might & Sir Nighteye duo; A.M: 45, S.N: 28
(2228) AFO vs OFA; A.M: 50, AFO: 116
A.M and Sir Night eye have there falling out (S.N: 33)
(2233) Canon Time START; A.M: 55
I originally had this set up with All Might for scale (going off of his age and basing the timeline off that) before saying "fuck it" and putting years

You know how, sometimes, you have to stare at your cat for a bit while their sleeping just to make sure the thing is actually alive?
I imagine that people have to do that with Aizawa.
Like, when he was in high school:
Hizashi nudging Oboro while staring at a sleeping Shota: Is he alive?
Oboro stares at Shota for a solid minute: Yeah, I think I saw his chest move.

I love that Bakugou is fully capable of wearing a suit properly but just chooses to wear his uniform improperly. Like, I didn't know you could make a blazer look that bad, but he manages to make it look so ill fitting.

Something I love about Bakugou in the anime is when his face does a quick change from soft to gremlin.
There are no frames between these two images. No transition from one face to the other

Every time he is animated like this, I give a little giggle

Mkay, I'm gonna go over the timeskip hero ratings, because I have some thoughts.
1.Mirio: I'm chill with this. Aizawa did say that he could compete for number one against the pros when he was still in high school, so it adds up.
2. Shouto: Kinda funny, kinda sad, when you consider this kid went trough hell with Endeavor. That man put his son through rigorous training, all while abusing his kids in one way or another (leading one to his death) in hopes of having his legacy reach #1, only for Shouto to sit at second just like him... Anyway, good placement for him.
3. Mt.Lady: ... I don't get it. She's a fine hero. She was going crazy with beating up AFO. But third? From what is shown, I get the vibe that her main attraction is sex appeal; other than that there's not much to her public personality that I can see getting her that far up. It just doesn't feel right.
4. Kamui Woods: I guess I get it. Solid hero. He was up there before, he can be up there again.
5. Best Jeanist: Good with me, I like him.
6. Miriko: Yes (I must acknowledge that she is in this placement with only one limb... I love her)
7. Nejire: Good. She has a rather versatile quirk and good personality.
8. Wash: ... No. I didn't get it when he was first shown, and I don't get it now. He is a rescue hero, that much I know, and he's good for on scene medical attention, But eighth? He doesn't even have a solid personality to make him more likeable...
9. Shoji: I like the guy, but nine feels to high... I would guess he is very public with his opinions on the treatment of heteromorphs, and that could likely get him more votes.
10. Monoma: I like Monama, I really do, but that was only after season seven. (now every time I look back at earlier seasons, I just see a silly little guy) We never truly get to see his personality outside of his hatred for class A, so it's hard to say I agree with this positioning. On top of that, and I hate say it, but he said so himself (or the people in his past said it.. same diff') his quirk would make him amount to only a side character. Taking that to the terms of heroics, he wouldn't do much on his own. He's athletic, yes, but he's mainly a support hero, and I can't see that getting him to far in the hero ratings.
11. Fatgum: Sure. He's got a good personality, and seems pretty efficient.
12. Kirishima: Kinda wish he was higher, but it's still a great placement. He has a very charismatic personality that I see many people liking. He's kind and shows emotion easily; I'm sure he helps humanise heroes for a lot of people. (and obviously, he's just the best... I'm not biased)
13. Iida: Good placing; this is more of just general thoughts, not why he does or doesn't deserve this spot. I'm trying to decide if his personality would make him more or less likeable... Don't get me wrong, I do like Iida, but some aspects of his rule follower mindset (more so the way he shows it) gives me the vibe of... annoying, I guess?? I don't know. At the same time, I see him being really good with kids, and I'm sure that would make him very likeable.
14. Honenuki (Mud Man - Class B): He's got a quirk that can end a fight quickly, and has charming personality (from what I remember) and shows humility. I get it.
15. Bakugou: I've seen people say things like "The reason Endeavor's placement makes sense is because he was more standoffish and aloof, not abrasive and shouty" (not the exact words, but pretty much the point that's being made) to which I say A) We have seen this kids growth, I am sure that at this point in time (which I believe is an eight year time skip [I haven't actually read the manga, I'm going off of whats in the anime]) he is very different. Not to the point of a change in his entire character, obviously, but enough to show he is a good person. B) I can only think of Miriko compared to Bakugou and think "how are their personalities different enough for her to get so high and him to be at fifteen?" I understand that they do have different personalities, but are they that far off for Bakugou to be that much lower compared to her? I guess the main thing is that it feels weird for such a major character to get fifteenth.
16. Inasa: Sure. Good quirk and lovable personality.
17. Tokoyami: He is strong as fuck and I will not stand for him being in seventeenth. Half joking. He is genuinely strong, but I would guess he isn't all to personable. Problems of being an introvert I guess.
18. Tamaki: If he wasn't so shy, I can guarantee he would be higher. I would hope he would have gotten a little more confident by now, but I guess not.
19. Momo: Honestly kinda shocked she's this high up, but I think that's mostly because I'm not smart enough to see the wide range versatility of her quirk. The more I think about it, the more I fully understand her placement. On top of that she has a very calming personality.
20. Shindo: No. I don't doubt he's a good hero, but imo his personality is kinda ass. I know that as a viewer, we get to see that his outgoing, charming persona is fake, but even then, it feels so obviously fake. Like, Bakugou instantly clocked his ass. And in season six, when we see him again, the front he put on to those guys he was trying to get to safety was so obviously over the top. I think its just hard to get it out of my head that he's fake with his charming personality. Though his quirk does kinda suck... most of the moves we see him do cause damage to the surrounding area which isn't really a positive...
I think that's all I have to say. If anyone wants to oppose something I said go ahead (just be nice about it, i'm a pussy when it comes to rude wording), I'd be happy to discuss and hear others thoughts!
FYI none of this is made to bash on characters (exept Shindo ig, but I didn't really mean to do that)

I don't think we acknowledge the fact that Bakugou was with the league for 3 days before he got rescued.
With the way it got showed, it seams like a much shorter time, but he was there for three days.
On the third day, Shigaraki really said "maybe letting him move a bit will make him feel better." Like, babe... you have had this kid tied to a chair for over 48 hours and you think letting him get off the chair will actually help???
We only get to see Bakugou with the league directly before his rescue. What do you think they were talking about before that? Because when we finally see Shiggy talking to Bakugou, it seems like he just finished his proposition. Did they feed him? Were they trying to make Bakugou comfortable before that? If so, letting him walk freely should have happened earlier then the day of his rescue.
Also the fact that Bakugou could keep distance from the league when he was teleported to the AFO vs. OFA fighting ground despite having been sat for three days is hella impressive. The LoV should be ashamed of themselves for not getting a scratch on him at that point.
I think it would have been neat if Horikoshi went into how a god damn kiddnaping affected Bakugou...

In the world of My Hero Academia, would it be offensive to heteromorphs to be a furry?
Like, if you had a dog fursona, would someone with a dog quirk look at you like "wtf are you on right now. you think this is funny??"

I headcanon Denki and Mina as gossip friends, but the way they gather intel is very different.
Mina is a friendly person, so she asks questions.
She overhears some barista at the cafe talking about their ex. Mina can tell when someone else is a gossiper, so she just buts her way into a conversation. The other person has no complaints and will happily tell her about the drama.
Denki, however, is a listener.
He hears someone talk about a pregnancy scandal and watches it like some sort of k-drama. To himself, he's constantly thinking thing like "no, they didn't" or "I knew it".
This is all to say, I think these two should be an undercover duo. Not only have they done it through middle and high school - and are thus good at it - they would also have so much fun. They would go about it like any other gossip session while still getting all the info they need.

Apparently (according to Horikoshi), Tokoyami’s head is not covered in feathers, but is instead covered in hair…
I hate this
You're gonna tell me, Horikoshi, that the guy with a bird head has no feathers????
Tumblr media
THIS GUY HAS NO FEATHERS????
On top of that, he has human teeth which is so odd to me. (The red around his neck being a choker feels wrong too)
These are some of my personal thoughts on Tokoyami’s design. (I guess they are head canons)
With the fact that people with mutant quirks are born with their quirks, this means that Tokoyami's mother birthed a kid that had a beak; when baby birds are born, the beak is soft, so it’s not like it was a horrible struggle (I can only imagine that Koda’s mother needed a c-section to get a fucking rock out of her womb).
I’d like to say now, my idea of him straight up having a genuine bird head attached to a human body wouldn’t be the prettiest image. Crows (which I will say is the type of bird that Tokoyami is) are hatched without feathers and just look kinda blobuler with vague reminiscence of a bird (thanksgiving turkey, type of shit). Within the first week, feathers begin to grow.
Tumblr media
(Silly looking guy^^)
This means that when he was born, Tokoyami had a whack ass little, bird-like, featherless head, and, after a bit of time, his face started to get a blotchy covering of pin feathers… Again, not the prettiest image, but I much prefer this idea than the thought of him having a hair covered face.
Besides, with this idea, imagine how fluffy he was as a kid when his feathers first grew in 😊
Then there was the thing I was saying about his human teeth.. I just don’t like how it looks.
If his head is completely bird like, that means he has no teeth. If he has no teeth, however, that means he can’t chew his food properly… This leads to the introduction of him probably needing a gizzard (basically a bird's form of teeth. It mushes the food up in a way the beak can’t), which thusly introduces the idea that he would eat some rocks and grit and shit (to make the gizzard’s mushing more effective), and that's just a kinda funny image to me (tho, it does mess with my idea that his head is a minor mutation that doesn’t affect him much).
Someone: Hey Tokoyami, you want an apple?
Tokoyami, having recently gotten rid of (🤮) previous grit after it had gotten to smooth: Do you have any rocks?
The other person, confused and vaguely concerned: … no?
Tokoyami: hmm… I’ll have to pass on the apple for now then.
Dark Shadow: I’ll have it!
(I doubt DS lives by the same bird like regulations as Tokoyami)

Talking about some quirk stuff (Mutation quirks specifically)
(there is a picture of a bug)
Apparently Hagakure’s quirk is a mutant type. All mautant type quirks are born that way. Straight from the womb, Shoji had six arms and Tokoyami’s mother had to birth a child with a beak. This means that Hagakure’s mother birthed nothing. She felt the pain and heard the cries, but saw jackshit. It was an odd experience for everyone in the room. The umbilical cord just fades to nothing the closer it gets to baby Toru…
The idea of mutant types also gives the idea of making hybrid mutants. Like, Koda has the same appearance as his mother, but if his dad was also a mutant type, would Koda have a different appearance than both his parents? I’ve decided that, in my own little universe of MHA, hybrid mutants are a thing, and it is why Mina looks the way she does. Due to us never seeing her parents, I can make up whatever I want, and it could be canon; Schrodinger’s parents, if you will.
My idea for Mina’s appearance is that her mother has a rosy maple moth mutant quirk
Tumblr media
(this guy ^^)
And her father has an acidic quirk. The combination of these quirks gave Mina her quirk (Acid), and her ‘minor mutation’: Mutations that have no real effect on a person’s quirk (ex. Mina and Tokoyami [technically Kaminari too, with the lightning bolt in his hair…]).
The combination of a mutant type quirk and a guy that just looks like a dude kinda cancelled each other out. She got pink skin, black sclera, and the antennae from her mom, but, due to the moth-ness colliding with an average human appearance in the gene mixing, Mina didn’t get any fluffiness or the bug-ish limbs that her mother has (like wings). The mutations don’t change her in a way that affects her life (like how Asui kinda hibernates if it's too cold or, you know… sticks to walls) and thus don’t count as a quirk in need of being registered.
