A large buck lays on the edge of a cliff, taking in the hues of sunrise.
He seems to be deep in thought. His gaze turns to meet you as you approach, but this doesn’t seem to fully register for a split second; and then, just as quickly, the serene expression on his face turns to a snarl. He’s up in a flash, snarling, his hackles raised and his tail lashing from side to side. Uh oh. Your presence sunk in, it seems.
