the thing about the trans congresswoman for me is that like. she can be the most bloodthirsty centrist in the world and that still isn't enough. republicans are already trying to make administrative moves to stop her from using the capitol bathrooms. like it doesn't matter how respectable you are you're still a tranny

someone: don’t u think it’s disturbing how in the past few years the level of femininity women are expected to perform and the industries they’re expected to contribute to in order to be taken seriously, especially on platforms like social media, has skyrocketed to the point that perfect makeup, contouring, acrylic nails, and eyelash extensions have become almost a social expectation and when women express no interest in adhering to those standards they’re met with vitriol and scorn straight woman who thinks Legally Blonde is the apex of feminist media: okay but it’s my choice? if i want to be feminine i should have the right to choose to do that because feminism is about choice

"I was assigned female at birth. Most cis people would say I was “female socialized”. That’s not quite true.
It would be more accurate to say that people pushed female norms onto me, and I tended to either dismiss those norms, or fail at them. I thereafter received the socialization that typically follows a child failing to meet gendered norms. I was, to an extent, perceived and socialized as a gender fuck-up, not as a girl."

If I was a fighting game character my gimmick would be that my moves all come out instantly but have to be sequenced incredibly specifically based on distance from the target and I ignore every other input, as well as every ninth input in case you get complacent. My block button is a piddly little nothing ability that has to be pretty much frame perfect and one good hit kills me. Essentially I’m super low tier when played by humans but a Catherine Bot kills you frame 0 in a horrible mess of flashing lights and tiny snippets of overanimated abilities and crashes the game. And I feel like I have a normal amount of self-control in case you were wondering
