Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009)
Adventure/Comedy/Family
First film by Wes Anderson that I watched and ever since then, I’ve been watching his other works. Absolutely love his unique style of film making and vision he has on the screen. ‘’ Fantastic Mr.Fox is about a charming fox who gets into a escalating feud with the three gluttonous farmers he had been stealing from, hence depicting the ugliness of greed – on the part of all parties. ‘’

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)
Fantasy/Romance
I absolutely love the concept of this film. Ignorance is bliss. The point of the film is to create "spotless minds" by removing the memories that cause turmoil, jealousy etc as to achieve peace but honestly to what end ? Love is imperfect because we are imperfect. Love is the product of deeply damaged and flawed people.

Arrival (2016)
Sci-fi/Thriller
My favourite sci-fi show for the last decade and possibly the best of all time. A beautiful, masterfully crafted film about hope and morality through the power of language. Watching this show made me think how our brains construct our visions of the future in the same way it remembers our past. It is in a way, like we are pulling "memories that could be" into being. The movie does by using "flashforwards" scenes disguised as flashbacks and turns the whole story timeless. Just imagine if we are able to see glimpse of our future somewhere in the present.

Ruby Sparks (2012)
Romance/Fantasy
No idea this film existed untill someone recommended it to me. There aren’t many good rom-com movies out there as opposed to bad rom-drama which I generally don’t watch much as a genre in whole. We all have this image of our perfect partner in life and at times we are lucky enough to have it in reality but many of those times, we actually don’t. Ruby Sparks can be seen as a deconstruction of the manic pixie dream girl trope in fiction. In the story, a man’s rather empty emotionless life is given meaning when he meets a wacky, quirky woman whose wild and childlike ways help him to learn to love and to free himself from his self-imposed constraints. Quite an interesting idea behind this show and defintely a unique film. Personally I think Zoe Kazan is born to play roles like this.

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl (2015)
Drama/Comedy
Quite a common plot in mordern teen shows nowadays but this is executed well with less of the cheesy-ness. I personally think this is way better than the fault in our stars. And also, the characters in this are hilarious.
