Muses are fickle. Reblog if you understand that your partner’s muse can sometimes wonder off for a while, but that you will still be willing to write with them when they come back.

Feeling him wiggle, her fingers dug into his side to tickle the boy, her own laughter joining his own. "Gotta share the love, Luneth." Finding a brief opening, she snuck an overexagerrated kiss to his cheek. "Mwah!"
"Oh? Feeling left out? I can fix that!" Tia can't hide her amusement, a smile plastered on her face. Reaching for him, she pulls Luneth into a secure hug, peppering the top of his head with kisses.

"Sometimes. Dad dates someone. And I love that for him. But do they need to kiss? And be in love? Right in front of me???" Luneth isn't even angry, he's just grossed out. Clearly, affection is gross and embarassing and he doesn't wanna see that.

Looking at the child, Tia had memories of years prior, tucking Luneth into her bed when he was tired while she settled for a small pile of blankets on the floor. If he was fussy, she would curl up next to him, comforting him till he either dozed off or Sephiroth returned to take him home. It was hard not to imagine that caring for Luneth was like caring for her own child, something she doubted would ever happen even back then. But now...no, any trace of the dream of family was long accepted as gone.
The sleepy mumbles drew her from her thoughts to Luneth, a soft smile gracing her lips. "We can do movie night another day." Reaching over, she grabbed his stuffed behemoth and slipped it under the covers next to him. "Do you need anything before bed?"
[SLUMBER] Luneth
Tia almost didn't want to move, scared to wake the silver haired boy curled up in her lap. He had been adamant he wasn't tired, wanting to watch a movie with her, but not even half way through, he was sound asleep. And of course, Sephiroth was busy in another room, so she couldn't even call out to him for help.
After a moment, she sighed, carefully pulling Luneth to her as she got to her feet. He made a small noise as he was cradled against her, but didn't open his eyes. He must have been more tired than she thought. Carefully, Tia made her way to his room to put him to bed.
Reasons to Carry Someone
Luneth was adamant- he was not tired and he could absolutely watch a movie. Tia didn't need to pause it, Sephiroth didn't need to stop working. It was fine, he could totally make it through. Until he ended up falling asleep halfway through it. He'd curled up with Tia only to make it easier to use his favourite blanket together, and ended up asleep in her lap.
Almost completely tucked in, he started to open his eyes a little, violet orbs still cloudy with sleep. "Is the movie already over?" He mumbled, rubbing at one of his cheeks. "I didn't finish all my popcorn..."

Tia hated the parties as much as Sephiroth did, and while he was made to wear a formal uniform, Shinra mandated that she wear something more elegant. Clad in a simple evening gown, the midnight blue fabric seemed to hug her form, leaving her feeling restricted with how she could move. She knew why they made her wear it. No one really looked good in a standard issue SOLDIER uniform and the company wanted to show off one of their few female SOLDIERs.
Seeing Sephiroth relatively alone was a relief, allowing her a chance to slip in next to him with two drinks in hand. She hoped the peace offering would relieve some of his own tension regarding the event. And it was always nice to see a friendly face.
"They make it mandatory I attend these things." Sipping at her own drink, she held back a small laugh only to look up in surprise at his sudden invitation. "Are you sure? It might get people talking if we leave together." A dusting of pink crossed her cheeks at the thought. Though she doubted there would be any other way for her to slip away early.
53: Tia buys Seph a drink

Sephiroth hates these fancy parties- they always had such stiff uniforms to wear, the people were always trying to worm their way into higher crowds. It was nauseating, hot, annoying, and- he paused his train of thoughts as a drink was pressed into his hand. Usually, he only had water, but the ice clinked slightly against the edge of the cup as he brought it to his lips.
"Thank you." He murmured softly to Tia as he lowered the now half empty glass. It wasn't strong, and it had a very sweet aftertaste to it- if he had to guess, something made with dumb apples. Normally not his favourite but right now, this was probably his favourite drink. "I see that they forced you to come play poster child as well, for this... I'm going to use the excuse of Luneth needing me soon, care to join me?" No doubt Luneth coudn't care less and would only demand a bedtime story if anything when he got back, but it was nice to have that kind of out. Sephiroth knew well enough if he mentioned he was going home to see his son, Shinra couldn't stop him without getting some comments.

Tia normally prided herself in being even mannered, not often encountering moments that enraged her. However, the moment words were thrown towards Shivan, the SOLDIER's temper flared to life. And while she was out of uniform, she was sure the intensifying glow of her eyes gave away what she was.
It took a second for Shivan's pleas to reach her, despite the surprisingly strong grasp he had around her. Broken from her moment of anger, the glow of her eyes died down along with the sharpness of her teeth. No doubt that had also scared the man off, but if Shivan had noticed, he didn't say anything. No, Tia was sure that if he had noticed the flash of fangs, he would have fled as well.
"Are you alright?" She didn't try to move, simply relaxing till Shivan felt ready to release his hold. "I'm sorry for getting so heated."
Restrained
Restrained
Shivan had a surprising grip to him, when needed. It wasn't going to hold back someone like Tia, but it at least helped to slow her down long enough for the old Corneo lackey that had thought it wise to saunter up to book it before Tia could add physical reason not to come near Shivan again.
He was shaking slightly, as he kept his arms wrapped around Tia. "Tia- Tia please. Leave them be. They're gone, they ran away." He whispered. His gaze wasn't focused as he tried not to let their jeering comments worm their way into his brain- Shivan had left the Honeybee Inn behind after everything, he was currently living with Tia that was true. But he didn't expect her to jump to his defense to quickly when someone started throwing comments and bringing up his past so vehemently. "Please... We should just go back home. Forget the coffee, I... Let's go back to your apartment."

The mention of Hojo made the girl tense, the hair on her neck standing on end. Even if she was now allowed some minute sense of freedom, she still had to return to the labs at night, give a report of the days events while basic biometrics were ran. Tia knew she was one of the lucky ones, one of the unaltered ones, at least for now. The next steps of her testing would depend on how the next couple weeks on SOLDIER went.
"How well I do determines what happens next, I guess." It was a quiet admittance, unsure how he would react to one of the Professor's charges. "Supposedly, I'm something called a Cetra. The Professor wants to test my abilities."
Tia watched Sephiroth, gauging his reaction. Even in his young age, he was a bit intense but she chalked it up to him being put in a leadership role within SOLDIER. Still, the fact he seemed familiar with Hojo raised some concerns. "He got to you too?"
Tiamatt frowned, worried that she had upset him. He was the only one her age she had seen, which wasn't too surprising. She had been a special case, much like Sephiroth himself, just another experiment to test in the field. Though she was being closely monitored as she was on a trial run, Hojo wanting to test her magic capabilities before continuing with whatever he had planned for her.
"I'm sorry if I came off wrong." She bowed her head, golden hair falling over her shoulders. "I heard a little bit about you, and I was excited to see another kid here." Lifting her gaze, her eyes didn't hold the normal glow of mako, but they still remained a brilliant shade of blue. "I'm Tiamatt. They don't know where to put me yet till they see how I perform on the field, but I specialize in magic."

Inhaling deeply, she said nothing. Instead, she turned her head away to look at the floor. No matter what she said, it was likely to lead to more teasing. Tia had yet to tell Shivan where she came from, what she really was, why she had never tried to find a partner. Who would want to be with a monster?
"My job doesn't afford me a lot of free time to pursue relationships." A half truth would have to do.
Her cheeks were burning at this point, mako blues slowly blinking away the shock. The embarrassment certainly wasn't helped by Tia's own lack of experience. It's not as if she had any relationship experience or any experience in intimacy due to her past and current role as SOLDIER.
"Easy for you to say." Tia huffed, dropping her gaze in a poor attempt to hide her flustered state. "You do this for a living."

She knew of some experiments Hojo had done to try to extend a person's life, as she was supposedly one of them. Hojo had expressed hope that the dragon side of her would at least lengthen her lifespan, but given she was still fairly young, there was no evidence yet. As to her experience with failures, it was something she was much more familiar with.
"A bit." She held the gaze for a moment, before looking away. Her own file was usually kept locked away, only the information absolutely required to be given out to those who needed it. The fact that Vincent knew anything at all worried her. How much did he know?
Hearing her family name was always a strange thing, seeing as she had only learned of it over the last couple months. But she wasn't given long to think on that, her focus being changed to what he said prior.
"Before I was born?" It didn't make sense to her. Vincent didn't look that much older than herself. "You don't age?" Tia was genuinely curious, further proving her own naivety. Surely this was a conversation for when they could speak in private.

She was no stranger to the age old lie, it was one she was familiar with. Besides, he wasn't able to hold up the lie in his current condition. With the sword no longer pointed directly at her, she lowered her hands, breathing a small sigh of relief only to scowl at the mention of her former profession. "SOLDIER was dismantled after Meteorfall, but I left the moment Hojo was gone."
Watching him carefully, she pushed herself off the ground and back to her feet. Wounded or not, there was no doubt in her mind that he could still defend himself. "You need help before you reopen those wounds and lose anymore blood."
Tia raised her hands in defense, not moving from her spot on the ground as she stared down the length of the blade. A part of her was relieved to see him able to get to his feet still, despite his wounds. It meant he still had some fight on him, not that she was looking for one.
"I'm not here to hurt you." Mako blues held steady, unblinking and watchful. "I'm not sure what attacked you, but you shouldn't be moving like that." Sephiroth or not, the human body could only lose so much blood, and she wasn't sure she wanted to bury her former commander.

She was unsure what compelled her out into wastelands, normally sticking to Edge, helping where she could and keeping the perimeter free of monsters. Tia smelled the blood before she even saw him, freezing in her tracks as she accessed the situation. Remembering the chaos caused only a couple years prior, she contemplated just leaving the silver where he lay. But he seemed far from the man she remembered.
Kneeling beside him, she carefully rolled him into his back. Whatever had attacked him left a nasty gash, one that would require thorough cleaning. At least curaga would control the bleeding till she could get him to her place.
"Goddess, help me..." Tia gently laid a hand on his side, letting the magic work through his wound. "Sephiroth, wake up. You can't fall asleep out here."
