"Just a few days before he was sent out." Tia knew Sephiroth likely suspected something after a string of bad morning sickness sent her rushing to the bathroom repeatedly, but he had said nothing. No doubt waiting for confirmation from his partner. "I have an appointment in a couple days. I rescheduled it a couple times since..." There was no need to say it. Sephiroth tried his best to be with her whenever she went to the doctor, due to her own fears from her years in the labs. But the upcoming appointment was special.
"I never got to tell him. I knew that if I said anything, he would have turned down the mission." That fact alone weighed heavy on her. Now Luneth was without his father, and the child she carried would never know the man their father was. A lump formed in her throat, tears threatening to spill from her eyes "I-I should have told him. If I had, he'd still be here."
Despite giving a small nod, she remained silent for another moment, brows furrowed as she tried to find her words. The reality of her situation still didn't feel real, and every part of her being wanted nothing more than to have Sephiroth by her side during this time. She wasn't sure she was worthy of raising Luneth by herself, but now...
There's really was no way to sugarcoat it. And if Rufus was adamant on helping herself and Luneth, then he needed to know. Taking a deep breath, she slowly exhaled before allowing the words to tumble from her mouth.
"I'm pregnant."

Blue eyes flicker, seeming to come in and out of focus, even as she curled into herself in the corner. Sephiroth's voice sounded far off, more like an echo than someone only feet from her. "Seph?" Slowly, Tia inched forward, seeming to gradually come out of her nightmare. She stayed close to the ground, unsure but seeking out the familiar voice.
If Tiamatt heard him, she didn't respond. Her gaze still seemed far off, unfocused on the waking world. Backed into the corner, she bared sharp fangs and continued to growl a warning at whatever being threatened her in the dream. The skin on her arms melted into scales, talons finding purchase by digging into the floor.
"No more." There's was a waver in her voice as she spoke, fear. "Leave me alone!" Whatever she was seeing resulted in her shrinking into the corner even further. "Make it stop!"

Touch caught her by surprise, mako blues eying him as she took in everything he said. It was no secret that Tia and Sephiroth were a couple, that they had been living together for the last couple years, raising Luneth together. With Sephiroth now gone and the pair never married, there was a real fear of losing not just her home, but Luneth as well.
"Thank you...." Dropping her gaze, she fell silent for a moment. A frown formed, one hand playing with the hem of her shirt. "Sir, I.... it's more than just Luneth I'm worried about..."

I promise I'll be more active when I can. Life is just busy.
But I very much feel the anxiety of being a bother. I've been blocked over trying to interact before, and it can be so disheartening.
But please feel free to message me and just chat or plot with me. I don't bite. I promise
Please interact with the people on your dash.
Send asks, like aesthetics, engage with starter calls, fill out polls, write opens, post dash commentary, reblog promos! It’s so easy to let anxiety and the fear of “bothering” someone stop you from interacting, but all that does is make people feel invisible.
We’re all here because we want to write and talk about our muses! ENGAGE. WITH. YOUR. DASH!!!

Tia was tense the moment she heard Rufus wanted to speak with her. Things were stressful enough after the events at Nibelheim stripped Sephiroth from her and Luneth, but she knew ignoring the request would only make things worse.
Sitting in silence, she kept her gaze lowered, choosing to watch Dark Nation rather than the man in front of her. The mention of help was enough to earn the blonde a quick glance. Knowing Sephiroth, it wouldn't surprise her at all if he asked Rufus to keep an eye on his family if something ever happened to him. And Tia was not in a position to turn down aid.
"Any help you're able to offer us would be appreciated." It was a hard thing for the SOLDIER to admit, but she was willing to swallow her pride and stubbornness for the sake of her family. "Forgive me for being so avoidant. Sephiroth spoke highly of you, but..."

Prompt- Scream
It had been sudden, Tia having fallen asleep on the couch after spending an evening with Sephiroth. He didn't dare move her, deciding it would be better to leave her be as she looked comfortable enough. Best to let her rest.
Bringing over a blanket, he would notice her squirm where she lay, quiet whimpers heard from her. Just as quickly, blue eyes would flash open, the glow of mako more intense than normal thought her gaze seemed distant and far off. Seeing 'him', Tia would snarl and bare sharp fangs, all while her skin seemed to ripple.
Trapped in a night terror, she would growl a warning at any attempt to approach, all while moving off the couch and backing into a corner. What she saw only she knows, but she's clearly panicked and on the defensive.
Reasons to Carry Someone
Sephiroth was used to people he knew crashing after a long day- Genesis and Angeal had done it more than once, so it was easier to just give a blanket, let Tia sleep, and head to his room. Until Tia's eyes shot open and he noticed just how bright they were shining.
Nightmares were not his strong suit. He backed up quietly. Even with Luneth, he would let him curl up, wait until Luneth could talk, and then offer whatever he could think of to cheer him up and get him back to sleep. But Tia wasn't a child, and he only watched her cautiously. The thought crossed his mind that she looked almost like Tseng's cat- when Pagoda was unsure, she hid in the corners.
Immediately he felt guilty that he had thought that, but then... Sephiroth crouched down to Tia's level, keeping his voice low and coaxing, like he'd seen others do to stray or injured animals. "Tia, you're alright. I was just putting a blanket on you." He slowly moved, holding the balled up blanket. "See? You're not in danger."

Starter for @tiamattseirei
Rufus was silent, when Tia came into the room. He gave a small nod to Tseng, not offering more as the turk left them to the quiet. One hand was idly scratching Dark Nation, running over the short fur.
When Nibelheim had occured, Rufus had of course found out. His "extended business trip" was just a cover to keep him out of the way and not interfere with his father. But he didn't seem at all upset by it, lounging back in an office chair and watching her as she came into the room.
"I first want to apologize, for calling you here while you're grieving. I know things are... Hard." He said quietly. Hard was an understatement of course. Rufus had considered Sephiroth a friend, and even he felt grief that things had gone the way they had. "I'm also thankful you came. I wanted to talk to you without having any prying eyes or ears."
Not that it was impossible. Under house arrest, the turks listened to most everything. What they did with it- well, Rufus knew. But he didn't need to divulge that. Tseng was on his side, and he'd made sure to explain to him why he'd wanted to talk to Tia.
"I know you're alone, now, and Luneth has you, or Hojo." He said, leaning forward and resting his elbows on his knees. "I want to help. Sephiroth was a friend, to me. We may not get along well, but that does not mean I want to ignore my past with your partner, or with Luneth." He explained.

Mako blues blink once, then twice. She's still unsure she had heard him correctly, even as he confirmed his words. "O-oh." A blush spreads across her cheeks, Tia shyly looking away in a poor attempt to hide her flustered state. "I'd like that. Thank you."
Surely, this was all just a dream.
"Are... you asking me out on a date?" It took a moment for the words to escape her lips, Tia unsure she had heard Sephiroth correctly. She must have looked like a chocobo in the headlights with how she looked at him.
Unprompted Asks | Always Accepting
"I've got half a day off, and I noticed our schedules are pretty similar. Luneth is staying with Angeal for the weekend... Would you want to have lunch with me?"
Sephiroth takes a long minute to really process his own words. Before he can even think of trying to understand even a little of what Tia has just ask. His own words are still floating through his mind, not fully realizing that he'd asked out loud for Tia to go out with him.
Pale cheeks slowly turn pink, as he realizes exactly what he's done. But, Sephiroth isn't one to back down when he's said something. "I-..." He hesitates for a moment, clearing his throat. "I suppose I am. Yes."

Closed starter for @soulsfractured
Tiamatt took the first opportunity she could to escape Shinra's Research and Development department, taking advantage of the unknowing new lab tech by pretending she was still under the effects of sedation. Once the door was unlocked, the change was instant, a red scaled dragon replacing her smaller form and knocking the tech to the side with a single sweep of her tail.
Alarms blaring, the beast barreled down the halls, ignoring the shouts of those she encountered as she searched desperately for an exit. Finally, seeing large windows overlooking the city, she flung herself through the glass, feeling shards scratch at her scales.
Taking wing, Tiamatt tried to get altitude, but not before a gunshot rung out. Feeling the bite of the bullet hit her shoulder, the dragon roared in pain, her wingbeats faltering for only the briefest of moments. Unwilling to look back, she pushed through the pain and forced herself higher, faster towards freedom.
Tia knew they would try to hunt her down and return her to the labs, back to the place that had turned her into what she now was. That knowledge fueled her flight, traveling well into the following day. Still, she refused to stop, flying onwards for as long as she could.
She was unsure how long she had been flying, unsure how long she had traveled. All she knew is the sea had turned to land once more. The last thing she saw before plummeting from the sky was a building, a temple. Then nothing as exhaustion finally claimed her midnight.
