"Shit..." Tia didn't hear Vincent's footsteps till he was in sight. Rubbing at cheek with the butt of her hand, she managed to wipe some tears away. "I-I'm sorry. I thought I was alone." Sniffling, she wiped away tears from her other eye.
Normally, she was able to make it back home to privacy of her apartment on site, able to curl up in bed while giving her little calico Enki some gentle pets. Instead, she had been found crying in a stairwell. She couldn't decide if it was a good thing or not that Vincent had been the one to find her. They weren't friends, having never really interacted outside of assignments, but it wasn't as if she had many friends to begin with.
Taking a deep shuddering breath as she fought back more tears, she reached up for the handrail to pull herself up. "I'll be ok."
Even she didn't believe herself when she said it.
First Times (SFW) Prompts | Open
@tiamattseirei asked: Crying- Tia was beyond exhausted, being sent on mission after mission, her 'special' assignments. She knew why she was normally sent alone, it made it easier for her to hunt down the failed experiments or escaped monsters without having to prep a partner or team to her abilities and job. And being a monster herself, it was only fitting she was used as Shinra's hunting dog. She had just been coming back from the helipad, opting to take the stairs to give herself a moment to derezz. But she was still in a bit of a daze, exhausted and shaken up from her last encounter. Pausing suddenly, she sunk down to the floor, seating herself on a step and let the emotions through with a sob.
The other hunting down found himself ascending to the sight, however. He didn't know everyone of her missions, as she didn't know his. What they did know, is sometimes they shared missions, for their shared attributes and their history for serving as hunting dogs or attack dogs had proven itself wonderfully. He did not know that there were times when he was locked away in the depths of ShinRa that she was sent to cover his slack.
He heard the crying before he saw her, though he'd caught the familiarity of the scent. As he turned the stairs, ready to ascend another set, he finally spotted her. Not a soul else in sight but the two of them, and assessing the state of her, he was thankful for it fleetingly. Sympathy was still sometimes an easy fluctuation for him, though he tampered it often, when not shutting it off completely.
But standing there, he felt an awkwardness. He was stiff, unsure what to do to address it, or to walk on. She was clearly worn down, but they were not even close. Occasional coworkers, more like. He looked down the stairs he came from, and up the one's she was sitting on. He couldn't hear or sense anyone coming any time soon. And so he stepped up, and took a knee.
"...When you can manage it... Deep breath in, hold for four to five, then deep breath out. Breath from your core, not your chest. If there are other emotions you cannot control that need releasing in private...there's a specific training hall that the Professor seconds off for a me and one other. I suggest you use that." his tone was careful, not so much cold but only snows breadth from it. He was clearly simply trying to offer solutions to what some might deem a problem.

Her cheeks were burning at this point, mako blues slowly blinking away the shock. The embarrassment certainly wasn't helped by Tia's own lack of experience. It's not as if she had any relationship experience or any experience in intimacy due to her past and current role as SOLDIER.
"Easy for you to say." Tia huffed, dropping her gaze in a poor attempt to hide her flustered state. "You do this for a living."
Not expecting Shivan to be so brazen, she didn't have time to brace herself for the kiss. The action brought an instant deep blush to her cheeks, leaving Tia too stunned to speak.

It was a relief to know she wasn't the only one unsure where to start. The boy's attempt to help was something she always appreciated, not expecting him to even remember her. But Luneth's energy and playfulness had been a quiet blessing to Tia as she opened up and learned to cope after her last few years in the lab.
Offering a quick smile to the boy, she glanced around before spotting an opening near the petting zoo. "Let's start over there."
Guiding Luneth over, Tia caught a glimpse of a yellow ball of fluff behind the fencing, the Second pausing as she realized what it was. Not wanting to rob Luneth of his decision, she pointed to a food stand nearby. "Do you want to split a bag of popcorn?"
@soulsfractured
Sephiroth had been insistent Tia spend more time with Luneth, going as far as to snag tickets to small pop-up carnival for the two.
Arriving at the small park, various rides had been assembled and were in motion, a few booths sold various foods and snacks, and even a small petting zoo had been put up. A decent sized crowd had gathered to enjoy the festivities, thankfully ignoring Tia and Luneth as they tried to figure out what to do first.
Truthfully, Tia was a little overwhelmed with all the noise and people, but Luneth held a tight grip on her hand, practically vibrating where he stood. His excitement was endearing, bringing a smile to her face. "What do you want to do first, Luneth?"

"Of course I am." The blonde let out a small huff. "I may be a glorified hunting dog, but I'm not some mindless machine." It did raise her curiosity about the Turk, seeing as most of their members were highly skilled, yet unenhanced, humans.
Sitting quieting, she listened to the sounds of then engine and the general chatter of the crew. Normally, she worked with a smaller team. But it seemed she wasnt the only one being test. "So he got to you too?"
Returning her gaze to meet his, she was quiet for a moment before speaking. "You know where I came from. You hold both the leash and the gun." The pain webbing away, she scooted back to lean against the side of the truck. "If you're so worried, then I promise I won't flee. Not like I would get far." Reaching a hand up, she tracked the back of her neck, indicating the tracker carefully hidden between her cervical vertebrae.

Tia couldn't blame people for staring, not when one of the only female SOLDIERs led a small behemoth to the elevator. Once the door shut, she let out a breath of relief, reaching out to thread her fingers through Therion's mane. "You really know how to draw attention, little brother." Not that she could fault him for fleeing the labs.
At least they had some semblance of privacy in the service elevators. It gave her time to look the beast over quickly, making sure he hadn't been harmed. Satisfied, she pat his head and ushered him off the lift as soon as they reached the residence floor.
Another moment later, they were in the safety of her apartment, curious Enki trotting up to Therion to sniff at him. "You're free to change back if you like. You're safe here."
With the beast stopped, Tia released the hold she had on his horn. It was a good thing he recognized her and was reasonably calm, but that still left her wondering what got Therion wound up. Granted, she hated the labs more than most with good reason and given Therion/Lucas' history in the labs...
"Hey, it's ok. You're safe with me." She gently cupped the behemoth's head in her hands, scratching at his cheeks. "You'll be ok." Tia spoke softly, reassuring him till he was calm enough to follow her back to the privacy of her apartment. Thank goodness for knowing where the service elevators were.

She was unsure what compelled her out into wastelands, normally sticking to Edge, helping where she could and keeping the perimeter free of monsters. Tia smelled the blood before she even saw him, freezing in her tracks as she accessed the situation. Remembering the chaos caused only a couple years prior, she contemplated just leaving the silver where he lay. But he seemed far from the man she remembered.
Kneeling beside him, she carefully rolled him into his back. Whatever had attacked him left a nasty gash, one that would require thorough cleaning. At least curaga would control the bleeding till she could get him to her place.
"Goddess, help me..." Tia gently laid a hand on his side, letting the magic work through his wound. "Sephiroth, wake up. You can't fall asleep out here."
@tiamattseirei
He'd been an absolute fool to think that he would be in any physical position to take on the job. Yet Sephiroth did have to eat, and he did have to provide for himself, and what better for an ex-SOLDIER than to fight?
He'd overestimated himself, forgetting that he was far from being in his prime.
Sephiroth wasn't far from Edge when his right leg gave out, sending his exhausted and bloodied body crashing to the ground with a pained grunt, and how far he'd fallen from ShinRa's greatest and brightest, reduced to a nobody trying to eke out a living with limited skills to offer beyond killing.
His left hand pressed against his ribs where a claw had ripped open his side, he let himself slump fully to the ground, blood slipping easily through his fingers, and he was tired. Perhaps he could rest for a little while...
#warofthebeasts#sephiroth#its perfectly fine! dont worry#tiamattseirei#he's lucky shes a skilled mage

The mention of paperwork got her attention, blue eyes flickering slightly. Incident reports meant she would be called back to the labs, throughly checked over with whatever tests the Professor deemed nessacary before clearing her. She just had to hope that Vincent wouldn't mention what happened to her.
"I see." She followed his gaze to the front of the vehicle, quietly wishing this had been a solo mission. She wasn't opposed to working with others, but it wasn't something she was used to. "If you'll allow it, I can hunt down the last of the monsters in the area while the other secure the perimeter."

She didn't expect him to admit anything to her. They were strangers, after all. But she gave an understanding nod, all too familiar with sleepless nights. "Do you mind if I keep you company?"
"Nightmares?" She wasn't sure why that was the first thing that came to mind. Maybe she remembered glimpses of silver hair from her years in the labs. "I...deal with them a lot myself." It was a quiet admission, Tia choosing to look out the window rather than at the Silver.

She resisted rolling her eyes at his warning, knowing he had no idea of her accelerated healing. Already, the pounding from the head injury and concussion were fading. By the time they returned to Midgar, it would be like the collision never happened.
As he chided her for her carelessness, she couldn't help but huff a little. Of course, it was her fault, Tia having been more focused on not wanting to go full dragon than the fiends around them. If she had been alone, she wouldn't have hesitated to let her fangs and talons tear the behemoths apart. "Noted." Pulling her legs to her chest, she leaned forward to rest her chin on her knees. "What happened after I blacked out?"

Tiamatt frowned, worried that she had upset him. He was the only one her age she had seen, which wasn't too surprising. She had been a special case, much like Sephiroth himself, just another experiment to test in the field. Though she was being closely monitored as she was on a trial run, Hojo wanting to test her magic capabilities before continuing with whatever he had planned for her.
"I'm sorry if I came off wrong." She bowed her head, golden hair falling over her shoulders. "I heard a little bit about you, and I was excited to see another kid here." Lifting her gaze, her eyes didn't hold the normal glow of mako, but they still remained a brilliant shade of blue. "I'm Tiamatt. They don't know where to put me yet till they see how I perform on the field, but I specialize in magic."
She was still adjusting to her new life as SOLDIER, even if she still had to frequent the labs. It was part of the deal, to ensure the new recruit was able to perform her duties. At least she had some illusion of freedom.
Tiamatt heard the voice before she saw it's origin, surprised to see the young teenager. She had heard rumors of him, the Silver SOLDIER, Shinra's golden child, but this was the first time she had seen him. It surprised her to see how young he truly was, appearing not much older than herself.
"Oh," Tia paused, looking at the closed doors to the simulators, faint noises coming from within as new parts were put in. "I was hoping to try them out." It certainly put a wrench in things, but she didnt want to leave. Not like she had anywhere to go other than back to her quarters. "You're... Sephiroth, right?" Maybe she could get to know the silver in the mean time.
