The maze runner is a science fiction, action and thriller story. It was written by James Dashner year 2009. It also includes three more books The Scortch Trials followed by Killer Code and lastly The Death Cure. The maze runner is written by James Dashner was born and raised in Geogia but now lives and writes in the Rocky Mountains. He also the author of the series The 13th Reality.

Thomas, a teenager, arrives in a glade at the centre of a giant labyrinth. Like the other youths dumped there before him he has no memories of his previous life. Thomas quickly becomes part of the group and soon after demonstrates a unique perspective that scores him a promotion to runner status, those who patrol always –changing maze to find escape route. Together with Teresa the only female, Thomas tries to convince his cohorts that knows a way out.

Critical Analysis: I would definitely recommend this book to other people especially teenagers like me because it opens up our mind that we should be aware and be active to our society because it shows in the book it is all about teenagers fighting for their freedom. I would really recommend this to be read because it widens my imagination, my vocabulary and my interest in science fiction novels. The author really gave life to the story especially when you had a good time in taking you to a whole new level of imagining things. The maze runner has also a movie version and really lowered my expectations because it is far from the book when it comes to characters, settings, happening etc. But overall reading the maze runner is definitely worth your time and sleepless nights.

They gave good comments about your school and I also found out that your school has a complete facilities and equipments especially the laboratories, computers, and other things which can help students while learning. I remember when I was in Senior High School, as a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) student, we conducted a successful experiment inside your lab and it has a very complete equipments and laboratory materials and I was very impressed. Additionally, I was also impressed about the Nursing Program in St. Alexius because of the past students who graduated from your school and passed the board exam.

Currently, I am just beginning and ready to dive into t undergraduate studies program. My ultimate goal is to finish my Nursing/Medical course here in your school which is the St. Alexius College. Once I have completed my course, I will directly proceed to my profession; A doctor. A doctor dealing with people in need and saving lives. ONE DROP STOP: WATER REFILLING STATION FOR KNCHS SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

Abstract

As we all know, Koronadal National Comprehensive High School has been operating senior high school for 2 years now. Therefore, supplies and facilities are not yet fully-developed. The students of Stem-2 Nazarea, would like to propose a project that can be an answer for the students’ needs.

One Drop Stop is a water refilling station that can give benefits to the students for water which is the most important thing that a student should have. Therefore, the students of Nazarea thought of an idea on how they can help their fellow senior high students. By building a simple water refilling station, one’s thirst will be replenished with a cheap price but quality and safe water.

Each building shall have one (1) water refilling station. It will be located in places where students can easily access. Just for only one (1) peso, you can already have 320ml of fresh water.

This project can also benefit teachers and non-teaching staffs here in Koronadal National Comprehensive High School.

Through this, students, teachers and non-teaching facilitators can benefit One Drop Stop. For a cheap price that can supply us fresh water. Efficient and convenient water refilling station for everybody.

I. PROJECT JUSTIFICATION

Problem Statement

In making this project proposal, problems will always be present in building a water refilling stations.

First problem, the students find it difficult to find the right place on where the refilling station should be located. Lack of space here in KNCHS can be a big problem in doing this project proposal.

Lastly, budget is always a problem when conducting a project proposal. Tentative sponsors may not respond to the solicitations and help from the students.

These are the main problems that the students may face in proposing this project.

Priority Needs

This project really needs enough budget and construction location. For the budget the students will seek out major sponsors that are willing to help in providing clean and fresh water for the students of Koronadal National Comprehensive High School and also for the teachers and the non-teaching staffs for a cheap price.

Approach/ Strategies

The students, will conduct a survey to senior high school students if it’s really needed. Interviews will also be considered as an approach if building a water refilling station is necessary. The students shall conduct a room-to-room advertisement of the project proposal to spread the information.

Implementing Groups

The group of students, who’s concerned to fellow senior high school students will implement this project in order to have the students’ needs. The students are willing to give their efforts and determination in completing this project. The group of students has the will to give attention to the people who needs it. We are determined and willing to give it all just to satisfy one’s need.

Project Aims

This project aims to supply enough fresh water for students, teachers and non-teaching workers for a cheap price but quality water. The proposal aims to give students an efficient and convenient water refilling station. It aims to provide need for people in KNCHS thus water is very important to us.

Target Group

The students reason to propose this project is to provide clean and fresh water to students, teachers and non-teaching workers that needs it. The target group will be the people here in KNCHS that doesn’t need to exert effort for the water refilling station will can be accessed easily. Convenient and efficient.

Budget

Laborers: P 5,000/ a month

Materials: P 13,000

Refilling Machine: P 10, 000/ per machine

Monitoring and Evaluation

The tentative project proposal will be evaluated every last day of the week. After buying materials the members of Thurstee will have a liquidation in order to keep in track about all the expenses. Photos will be taken to see what are the changes happening in constructing the refilling station. The Thurstee will conduct the monitoring to see the progress on the project.

Report

Thurstee cleaners will conduct an inspection every last day of the week. They will also have a report about the expenses in building the water refilling station.

Introduction:

Twilight saga is novel by Stephenie Meyer reviving werewolf and vampiric lore while integrating in the narrative; romance, drama, action with a bit of a thriller all for the purpose of delivering an exciting content to impetuous teenager or the occasionally hopeless-romantic or maybe a nerdy adult. The novel’s genre is a mix between Fantasy fiction, Young adult fiction and Vampire-romance which is miles apart from a typical vampiric literature because the main focus of the novel is the love story between two individuals clearly meant for each other but whose differences keep them from being together, not the eventual demise of a very strong grand master vampire or the death of an entire town. Popularity of the novel became an inspiration for the TV series: La Luna Sangre in the Philippines.

Summary:

The novel starts at Bella (Heroine) leaving the comfort of her old home in sunny Phoenix, Arizona to spend some time with her father in Forks, Washington where decades of dormant war among werewolves disguised as Quileute Indians and vampire residents of Forks as the Cullen Clan in danger of breaking out because of Bella’s meddling. Bella’s desire for truth and her developing feelings for Edward Cullen breaks the peace and threatens the pact among werewolves and vampires while a bunch of rogue vampires takes advantage of this becoming a threat to the peace and mortals.

Critical Analysis:

The novel’s reception is critically low due to the author’s dependence on romance as the primary driving element of the narrative and the use of mildly suggestive scenes obviously appealing to young teenage girls enticed to the story because of their inability to process such scenes at their current age. The story’s depiction of perfect, hunk vampires is also a clear sign as to why would teenage girls love to read twilight saga. Nevertheless, the storytelling is good and immersive but the use of romance as the main driving element of the narrative bores out the more serious bookworms. Well, if you’re into romance between creatures of different races or just a devout believer of the saying “Love conquers all.”, then twilight saga is a must read book for you.

Introduction:

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the second series story of Harry Potter books and movies. It is one of the best seller book of Joanne Kathleen Rowling. She is a British writer, she wrote the second book of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in 1998 after the first successful book Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone in 1997. After the second sequel Rowling release the third series Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in 1999. The three books in the series sold over 35 million copies worldwide and received numerous award, British Book Award: Children's book of the year. As presented in book 1 Harry Potter "the boy who lived" after the attack of the dark lord Voldemort. Harry is still a baby when his parents was killed by the dark lord, Harry survived and raised by Dursley. After many years Harry grows without knowing that he is famous in the magical world for defeating the dark lord, until he got a letter form Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. Harry enrolled and spend his first year in the school. In the book two (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets) Harry is in his second year at Hogwarts . But there's a new villain and danger that he will face when he go back to school.

Summary:

During summer Harry is excited at his second year at Hogwarts but a house elf named Dobby appeared to him and warned him that he should not do back to school to avoid any danger to his life. But Harry refused to stay home. The school year at Hogwarts start and Harry went back to school with his friends, Hermione Granger, and the Weaslys Ron, Fred,George, Percy and their younger sister Ginny. Days have passed at Hogwarts and like Dobby warned Harry, this year would be a great challenge and danger to him. Many mysterious and numerous attacking at the school. Also Harry found out that he is a Parsle mouth or he has the ability to talk to snakes and according to the legend it is denoted as the true heir of Slytheri who can open the " Chamber of Secrets " and release the monster inside . Harry has no ideas who is attacking the students He quickly resolve to found out who is responsible, but Hermione is attacked and petrified also by the culprit. Harry and Ron was devastated and the make way to uncover the mystery and the legend of of the Chamber of Secrets.

Critical Analysis:

In this story of J.K Rowling brought her reader into the magical world of Harry. The sequence of the storyline were presented very wel yet it makes the readers keep guessing what will happen next until the very end of the story.Harry Potter exploits in his second year at Hogwarts. The transition of idea of the story from the book 1( Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone) to the second book is very consistent. The plot of the story was just imaginary but Rowling make her reader relate and explore the world of Hogwarts through her creative presentation of ideas that makes her readers imagine and turn and read every pages of the book with thrilling situations until the very end. Rowling keep the scheme of the story like a roller coaster that gives thrill to the readers and give surprise after another. The story ends but it is satisfying but it makes the readers guess what will happen next series.

INTRODUCTION: The story of Keesh is a short story which was written by Jack London that was first published in January of 1904. Keesh was the son of a great huntsman, who was well known and respected in his tribe. Unfortunately, Keesh’s father died when Keesh was very young. As is often the case, the legendary exploits of Keesh’s father was forgotten with time. After many years, the child grows to be thirteen. Inspired by tales of his father’s skills as a hunter, and emboldened by his self-confidence and the lackluster amount of food being gathered by the tribe, he addressed the village elders in the Igloo of the tribe’s chief. A child addressing the tribal elders was seen as precocious. Keesh declared that he would honor his father’s memory and became a great hunter, and bring back a wealth of meat for his people. He was scorned, and they allowed him to go off on his own. Many never expected to hear from him again. Four days later Keesh returned, with an enormous burden of freshly-killed meat over his shoulders. He explained that an entire polar bear’s carcass laid a day’s travel from the village.

SUMMARY: is a story about a thirteen year old boy who lived with his mother in North Pole. After his father had died, they forced to live in the poorest igloo in the village and ate the old meat because Keesh was only a boy and his mother was a woman and not a warrior. So Keesh went to the council wanted to receive a fair share, but the men there didn’t agree with what he said so he went out and hunted by himself. When he came back, he got a bear and two cubs with him and he shared fairly to the others. His success continued, because of this Keesh was looked upon with great respect and he got an biggest igloo by the people there made for him. But the men there didn’t believe Keesh could hunt by himself, so they decided to spy on him. And they finally found out the reason why Keesh were so successful, is not about magic or anythings. It’s because Keesh always readied some little round ice balls made by bones and whale meat. When the bear swallowed the ball, the bear would get sick and Keesh could kill it easily. Because he used his brain to hunt, he rose to power and became the chief of his village and no one was left hungry again.

CRITICAL ANALYSIS: the author used imagery, paradox, irony, smile, and onomatopoeia, they are used to illustrate a subject, which thus gains a cleamess that could be give in no other way and symbol elaborate the important things that happened to make it more real and interesting. it will lead us to understand easier all the situations shown in the story

Keeesh is a major character who has important role in the story that the author expect to be able to create the impression of being a savior in the community. Keesh tries to sensitize the community by doing the same thing as that of his father do in the past. Finally, he succeeds in showing to the community that his father is a figure of people who contributed to the community life by looking into Keesh’s work. We can get some moral values that we have expressed in the detail that we have to appreciate the people’s work and sacrifice and we should not give prejudice first before we can prove someone else work.

The story ended happily because keesh was able to prove himself to them as he being a great hunter like his father and the meat distribution at their village.
