How dare you make me read this with my own two eyes?
genuinely one of the saddest parts of this new era of the internet is how hard it is to rick roll someone now. with people's attention spans shortening so much, they wouldn't even get through the first few bait seconds before clicking off the video. like i saw a comment that ended with "btw i made all of this up" and the replies kept treating it so seriously because none of them finished the entire 4 sentence comment. and We're no strangers to love You know the rules and so do I (do I) A full commitment's what I'm thinking of You wouldn't get this from any other guy I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling Gotta make you understand Never gonna give you up Never gonna let you down Never gonna run around and desert you Never gonna make you cry Never gonna say goodbye Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

That's what middle names were about. Back in ye olde tymes™, it was believed that witches could control you if they knew your full name. So they added a third name that you could share only with people you trusted/verified weren't a witch.
Or at least that's what I picked up from... YouTube? Tumblr? Reddit? Fuck if I know, but somewhere.
I have a crackpot idea that by calling someone by their full name (at least their first name) instead of a nickname gives you power over them. Dunno to what degree or in what area but maybe that’s why I’m almost never called by my full name? It’s either a shortening of my name or people speak to me directly. Maybe my mother was protecting me by giving me an unusual name with an unusual spelling?

Tonight, my wife, who has unpleasant amounts of unholy knowledge of PrOfESsIonAl WrEsTlInG thanks to her father, has bequeathed me with some that I find fascinating.
Recently, I have been made aware that Dwayne Johnson has acquired the rights to, and effectively owns, the name "The Rock." Something monumental that is not lost on me.
With that, my wife informed me of how WWE contracts treat the names of wrestling personae. Should someone utilize their true name as part of they persona's name, the WWE would effectively own that name, rendering you legally unable to use it in many ways without paying.
Which brings me to my only question:
Are the WWE a fae court?
