Having a baby is an adventure all by itself, but having a baby with special needs is more like climbing Mount Everest: you must prepare adequately, rely on experts to guide you, endure physical and emotional pain, despair some days that you may not make...

Approximately 600 babies will be born in the US with EB in the next 3 years. Researchers are working on treatments that could drastically improve the lives of these babies and the children and adults currently living with EB, but they need our support. Today is the last day of the 2016 EB Awareness Campaign but you can still do something small that will have a big impact. An anonymous donor will give $100,000 to research organizations to fight EB if DEBRA of America can get 600 people to donate to the cause before December 31, 2016. Donate as much or as little as you want, it's not about the amount raised just the number of donors. Always #WeFightEB #600Strong4EB #EBWeek

Next week is EB Awareness Week and you can make a huge impact on the fight for medical treatments by doing something so little. The red bracelets are $5 for a pack of 5 (plus shipping). All of the proceeds from buying them go to the DEBRA foundation but much bigger than that is the opportunity to raise 10X more money with just a selfie.
From now through October 31, 2016, snap a selfie with a #WeFightEB bracelet & share on your social media pages with the hashtags: #WeFightEB, #EBweek, and tag DEBRA of America. Then, a friend of DEBRA of America and EB advocate will donate $10 towards research for EB for each selfie posted.
So just think, if you pitched in and bought one bracelet than posted one selfie with the bracelet on either Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or LinkedIn, you can turn $1.20 cost into $10 straight to the cause. If you post 2 selfies, that’s $1.20 turned in $20, 3 selfies turns that SAME $1.20 into $30! Its like Magic!! No overhead, no processing fees, no nothing. Just $10 donated directly to ED Medical Research for every single selfie.
Will you fight with me?
