If you need motivation for a project-- find a Real-Life Person to come into your workspace and talk about your project LIKE CRAZY. Act it out. Make a theme song. Dream about it. Go bonkers. Nothing kills your momentum more than being alone on a project for too long. You stop seeing it for the cool project it was when u started-and all thats left is the 'mistakes' or 'bad drawings' that you amplify or conjure in your own head. If you find the right 'cheer leader' or 'muse' or whatever you want to call it, you can recharge your creative battery and get back up to super sayan 3. Crush it.

Hello! I was wondering if you had any tips on keeping motivated while doing an animation. I still have a lot to learn and I get excited starting them but by the time I actually start doing it I get bored or hate the animation. Thanks.

I’d say perhaps it’s because what you wanted to animate was to hard for you. Perhaps you should animate something shorter or easier ? And the motivation really changes depends on why you’re animating: Is it just an execice ? Is it part a story ? Is it a commission ? Is it for school ?

But try to keep in mind the final result and what you’re learning, it helps to go on.
