Welcome to the Thornverse!

Hiya! I'm Miles (@data-dork) and this is my very first ClanGen blog! I was inspired by @/mantis-clan, @/dirt-clan, @/fog-clan, and @/splinterclan to finally create my own clans and storyline. I'm not sure how long I'll be able to keep up with this blog or how often I'll be able to update since I just moved to a new state and will be looking for employment soon, but I hope you'll stick around regardless!

Lore

This blog primarily follows Thornclan, a small clan of outcast cats living in the wastelands.

Thornclan Allegiances

Thornclan exists alongside three other clans: Rippleclan, Prairieclan, and Burrowclan. The Thornclan cats each previously belonged to one of these clans but have since been exiled, whether for their own crimes or for the crimes of their ancestors.

Leader Darkstar was chosen by Spiderfleck to receive nine lives after seeing his dedication to building a safe place for other exiled cats in the territory. In life, the Starclan guide herself was abandoned following accusations by her clanmates, so Thornclan's plight was especially close to her heart.

Darkstar's current goal is simply to earn the respect of the other three clans. However, rumor has it that some cats aren't satisfied with peaceful co-existence. With whispers rippling within Thornclan's population, how long will Darkstar be able to maintain order?

Storytelling

I have no concrete story in mind outside of the lore I've already developed; as such, this blog will mostly be improvisational

Thornclan is currently the main focus of this blog, but I am open to exploring Rippleclan, Prairieclan, and Burrowclan further in the future as well

Decisions are not randomized, I choose whatever I feel would be most interesting for the story

If something major happens that I don't like, I will likely reset it

Randomized names will most likely be kept unless I feel like changing them

I will not be shying away from dark topics along the lines of those included within the original Warriors series (i.e. blood, gore, violence), as well as others that may pop up in the future

I will do my best to tag triggering content, but if there's anything I miss please feel free to reach out!

Gameplay

Playing on Expanded Mode

Mass extinctions, romantic relationships with former mentors, and romantic relationships with first cousins are disabled

Unmated cats are able to have kittens (this is subject to change if the birth rate gets out of hand)

Same-sex breeding is disabled, but with a higher rate of same-sex adoption

Deputies are manually chosen
