CHAPTER ONE: 'PROLOGUE' NOW ON AO3

I made it! Happy FIFTH InuParents Day everyone!

Chapters two-> four are still in editing (who decided to completely redo all of chapter two last night? That was me? oops.) but should be up by the weekend! Chapter two will also feature beautiful masquerade artwork by @wolfcry77 and the incredible piece (check it out here) @brain-rot-hour made for *last* InuParents Day finally has a home in Chapter Four :)

Summary: When her husband fails in his "husbandry" duties, threatening both the bloodline and her own security, Izayoi takes matters into her own hands.

Note: I called it a nobility AU because the chapter four painting is inspired by a French painting from 1873 and the plot was inspired by an 2000s English TV drama dealing with landed gentry and the thinning branches of noble family trees. Personally I was envisioning a more early 1800s/late 1700s English setting, but I know I'm so sparse with my room descriptions that honestly read with your heart and let your imagination take you anywhere in pre-Industrial Europe you like.
