A series of questions from someone not used to tumblr rp ettiquette.
- Sideblog or main blog? And how does that work/what's the difference?
- Are there any basic guidelines I should know about? (Even better if someone had some sort of rp masterpost)
- Any terminology I should be familiar with?
If anyone has answers to these questions I'd be greatly appreciated. I want to get in on it, but right now it feels like a daunting task.

Stranger: No, you don't. AB
You: Yes I do -AH
Stranger: Do not make me call Washington and have him force you to take a break. AB
You: Oh? you're going to play card? Real nice. -AH
Stranger: You haven't been home in four days. AB
You: Has it really been that long? -AH
Stranger: Yes. AB
You: I'm sorry.. -AH
Stranger: You're taking a break. AB
You: Okay..fine. Just let me finish this draft? -AH
Stranger: No. Bring your laptop home. AB
You: Fine. -AH
Stranger: Thank you, baby. AB
You: Yeah. No problem. See you soon? -AH
Stranger: You know it. AB You awake enough to go wake up the kids on your way home? AB
You: Always am. -AH
Stranger: Good. Their practices are both over in ten, so it'll be right when you can get there. AB
You: How convenient -AH
Stranger: Isn't it just? AB
You: Almost like you planned this -AH
Stranger: Wow. Amazing. I might have. AB
You: You sly devil -AH

Stranger: You're putting in no effort. AB
You: I've been busy! -AH
Stranger: Busy, my ass. AB
You: What? You think I'm just here doing nothing? Making excuses? -AH
Stranger: I think that you're putting in nothing into this marriage, and I'm stuck here trying to save it on my own. AB
You: Aaron please.. -AH I'm trying..I really am -AH
Stranger: All I asked was for you to spend /one week/ up north with your children over spring break, and you said no. AB
You: Yeah...guess I'm just an asshole -AH
Stranger: I love you. I wouldn't have married you if I didn't know what I was getting into. But I need you to be home. AB
You: I'm coming home now. You're getting what you want -AH
Stranger: It's not about getting what I wanted. This is about you being a good father. AB
You: Isn't that what you want? -AH
Stranger: Forget it. Just go back to work. AB
You: No. I have the kids. I'm coming home -AH
Stranger: Fine. AB
You: Theo and Phil say hi -AH

Stranger: Yes, you are. AB
You: Am not -AH
Stranger: Alexander James Burr Hamilton. Do not. AB
You: Oh. We're almost home by the way -AH

Stranger: Alexander... AB
You: What? -AH
Stranger: I love you. AB
You: Love you too -AH
Stranger: I'm sorry. AB
You: No, I'm sorry -AH
Stranger: I'm frustrated. I shouldn't be taking this out on you. AB
You: Who else are you going to take it out on? It's my fault -AH
Stranger: It's not completely your fault. AB
You: No? -AH
Stranger: Philip's... AB
You: What? -AH
Stranger: Well. AB
You: Just tell me -AH
Stranger: Philip is gay, Alex. AB

You: Just give him time, then? -AH
Stranger: He's dating Lafayette's boy. AB
You: How'd you find that out? -AH
Stranger: Lafayette called me. AB
You: What was his reaction? -AH
Stranger: He wanted to know why Phil was spending so much time at their house. AB
You: What'd you tell him? -AH
Stranger: I had no idea why. He said he'd seen the boys kissing, we both made assumptions, and left it at that. AB
You: Fair enough. It's probably best to just leave them alone -AH
Stranger: I guess. AB
You: What? Did you have another idea? -AH
Stranger: No. I didn't. AB
You: There you go then -AH
Stranger: Don't be an ass. AB
You: I'm just saying -AH
Stranger: Well don't. AB
You: Aaand we're home -AH
Stranger: Alright, fine. AB
You: Fine? That's all you have to say? -AH
Stranger: Right now? Yes. AB

You: Will do -AH
Stranger: Thank you. aB
Stranger: *AB
You: You're welcome -AH

You: Should I wait for you? -AH
Stranger: No. AB
You: Ok -AH
Stranger: I'm mad at you. AB
You: Figured -AH
Stranger: Really mad. AB
You: What'd I do this time? -AH

You: Well you're not exactly helping, Mr. "I'm going to run away to avoid my problems" -AH
Stranger: It seems to be working just fine. AB
You: Yeah? But how long's that going to last? -AH
Stranger: As long as it needs to. AB
You: Why won't you talk to me? -AH
Stranger: Talk to you? /Talk/ to you? AB
Stranger: I'm sorry, I have been /ignored/ for the past four days. AB
You: Yes. If that's not too much to ask? -AH
Stranger: It is. AB
You: Aaron, please. I'm tired of fighting about this. We're getting no where. -AH
You: What can I do? -AH
Stranger: I don't know. I don't know, Alexander. I'm just sick of this. AB
You: This? -AH
Stranger: This. AB
Stranger: You.. AB
You: Me? You're... sick of me.? -AH
Stranger: I'm sick of how you're acting. AB
You: Then I'll change -AH
Stranger: No, you won't. AB
You: You're not even giving me a chance -AH
Stranger: You've been given so many chances, Alex. And you haven't changed one damn bit. AB
You: Then I don't know what else to do.. -AH
Stranger: Just... don't. AB
You: Well...I guess it was fun while it lasted.. -AH
Stranger: I love Alexander Hamilton. But you're not the Alexander I fell in love with. AB
You: Then who am I? Tell me, because I don't even know anymore -AH
Stranger: I don't know either. AB
You: So, what now? -AH
Stranger: I'm staying in my office tonight. AB
You: Alright -AH
Stranger: I don't know how long I'm going to stay. AB
You: Four days maybe? -AH
Stranger: I don't know. AB
You: Take your time.. -AH
Stranger: Okay. AB

I finally succumbed to my urges to read Hamilton fanfiction and that sparked the urge to maybe try out some roleplaying if anyone’s interested? Maybe some sort of modern AU? Though of course other options could be discussed if that’s not your cup of tea.

Would anyone be interested in a Les Mis roleplay set after Javert's been uncovered as a spy at the barricade? I'd like to sort of expand on that.
Valjean would be ideal, but I'm open to other characters if they fit in.
Message me.

Rick/Michonne
Michonne sighed, “I guess…” She yawned quietly, feeling herself starting to feel sleepy. She continued following Rick
Rick paced the rest of the fence in silence. When he reached the edge he turned back, walking slow over the dusty gravel. There was nothing to fix. They'd be safe for another night.  .Her yawn reminded him of his own tiredness and he blinked trying to keep it at bay. It wasn't long back to the prison now.

John had helped the boys out with a hunt a few days ago and he was sorry to say he hadn't seem them since. Something new had cropped up and he'd had to head out again almost as soon as the job was done.He hoped they were doing all right  They'd gotten pretty roughed up if he remembered correctly, Sam especially. The memory of the thing tearing into his leg was enough to make him shudder in sympathy.
He pulled up outside his motel room, thankful for sketchy old places like this where the rooms were mostly empty and people kept to themselves. It wouldn't go well if he'd just shown up to any old place covered in blood. John climbed out of the truck and dragged himself bruised and limping to his room. Inside, he shrugged his coat off and threw it across the back of the chair. The room was cramped and cluttered with papers and other objects, but it was organized in it's own way so at least he could count on being able to find what he was looking for. In this case the first aid kid packed away in his bag next to the bed. He pulled it out and continued to the bathroom, shutting the door behind him. Stripping off the first layer of clothing was easy enough, it was the second layer that came as more of a problem. The shirt was covered in blood, clinging to his torso like a second skin. A sharp intake of breath and a muttered curse followed the removal of the shirt as he peeled it up to get a look at the wound. Deep, but straight. It had bleed a lot, but the shirt had soaked up most of that one the way over. One thing was for certain. It'd need stitches. Wiping away most of the blood he reached for the needle and thread from the box propped up on the sink and sitting down at the edge of the tub he went to work at the painfully annoying process of sewing himself back together.
The phone rang as he was finishing up. Never a moments peace. He couldn't even enjoy a days worth of pain without someone interrupting. Slapping a bandage on the finished job he pushed himself exhausted and sore back to his feet. The phone once more as he crossed the room, but he managed to grab it on the third ring. “Hello?”
Dean's voice on the other end, caused him to fall silent and listen, a building mix of angry and worry over taking him as he listened. “Listen, Dean I just want you to keep an eye on him until I get there.”
Dimly, Sam registered Dean’s strong arms surrounding him, the low murmur of his voice in his ear as he was lifted. Sam’s face paled beneath the vivid flush of fever as Dean’s fingers made their way across his chest, gasping when his ribs gave under Dean’s probing.
“No!”...

Conversation
Hunger Games RP
Stranger: ((OC: Marina Voze, District 4 tribute in the 73rd games, Long bronzed hair and glimmering green eyes with a height of around 5ft4)) I sat by the edge of the murky lake, beside me is my medium sized trident, splashing the dirty water on my face to clear away some of the blood and gore. I hear a few twigs snapping and turn my head alert. "Who's there?" I demand.
You: Tall, gangly and awkward 17 year old Calder Kordell was built more for swimming than running. He was surprised he'd made it more than ten minutes what with all the noise he was making. Crashing through bushes and stumbling more often than standing. Luckily he was graced with long legs which when working properly propelled him quickly out of danger. Just when he thought he was finally getting the hang of things he managed to screw that up too. He'd made up his mind to move slowly, evenly. There was no one chasing him so he could afford to waste time. His steps were heavy and slow maybe too heavy and his next step came down a pile of twigs, snapping loudly beneath his feet. He tensed, holding still as he heard someone call out in response. He recognized that voice. The other district four tribute. He let out a breath of relief, taking a step out into the open. Leaves were caught in his hair, a number of stratches ran across his cheek and dirt was smudged across his tanned face.
You: (( Sorry that took so long ))
Stranger: "Calder?!" I call out, taking in the boy before me. I knew he'd be alone, he hadn't really been favored by the careers, and I myself had fled from them, resulting in a long strawberry wound that ran from the edge of my eyebrow to my chin. I drop my trident and walk over to him, checking to see if he was alright.
You: "Marina," he states simply, recognizing her immediately. His brow furrows as she approaches, umcomfortable, not used to people showing concern for him. "I'm alright. You should... " he trails off, looking to where she left the trident lying in the mud. There's a long gash down her cheek, evidence that she'd run into the careers already he notices as he focuses on her again. "Are you alright?"
Stranger: I brush the hair that was tucked behind my ear forward, concealing the cut. "I'm fine. How about you?" I ask calmly. He was so awkwardly friendly, I'd consider him a friend, But I don't think he does me. We're pretty much opposites.
You: "You're hurt, " he insists, but doesn't dwell on it. If she doesn't want help then it's best he just leave her be. Instead he walks past her to the lake, his boots squishing in the soft mud as he approaches the edge. The trident's still where she left it and he picks it up, weighing it in his hand. It's long light, it's prongs sharp with a thin coating of mud and blood. She's killed someone with this. The trident drops from his hand and he follows it, dropping to his knees in the mud. The water's murky, thick with weeds, but he dips his hands in anyway using the water to wash away the dirt coating his face.
Stranger: "Make sure you don't drink any of that, It isn't safe." I warn him, having only used it for sanitation as I'd witnessed a tribute drop dead from consuming it. I notice his disgust at the blood coating my weapon and come down to the side of him, kneeling down. "So, how many have you killed?" I inquire.
You: Calder nodded, not that he'd planned on it. The lake barely looked clean enough to touch let alone drink. And knowing the Gamemakers it had the potential to be far deadly thank it looked on first glance. "Two", he replies quietly when she asks, not taking his eyes of the water. The first had been an accident. There'd been a chase the other tribute had almost caught him but he'd tripped, taking the other tribute down with him, and knocking her head against a rock. The second time had been similar to the first but he'd actually planned it this time. He'd set up a trap, relying on his skills as a netmaker back in district 4 and strung the tribute up in a tree. It made him shudder just thinking about it
Stranger: "I didn't think you had it in you." I smirk slightly, although I instantly remove it from my face, knowing how he was pure, he wasn't like the rest of us. He was anti violence, And I admired it. It was a shame I couldn't replicate it.
You: He doesn't reply, pushing himself back to his feet. He'd give anything not to have to do this. To be back in district 4. Doing what? Living a simple life until he died? But what difference did it make. If not him then someone else. And someone else after that.
Stranger: "Do you know how many of us are left?" I ask, changing the subject and pulling myself up with my trident and supplies bag in tow. I rub my eyes slightly, smearing mud over one side of my face as I do so, not caring in the slightest about my appearance.
You: It takes a moment for him to reply, going over the numbers in head. He's unsure how many died in the blood bath. It all happened so fast. It could be anywhere between six and eight. And then there's the two he killed. "How many did you kill?" he asks, his voice hollow focusing purely on the numbers rather than the people he knew the represented.
Stranger: "Three...Both from 11 and the boy from 1." I say, recalling each of their gory ends. I had killed the district 11 pair by leading them into one of the small caves by the mountains with food, before impaling them with the trident. I had killed the boy from 1 as he gave me this scar, Impaling him through the heart as his warm, sticky blood sprayed on my face. I smile at the memory.
You: He nods, taking note of them in his calculations. The fact that she remembers the districts is surprising. If asked he wouldn't have been able to say. But it was the faces that he remembered. The faces that would haunt him as long as he lived. He wondered if they haunted her or if she regarded them as warm memories. Until the arena it was impossible to know anyone's true nature. What they were capable of. The smallest tribute could turn out to be a deadly adversary. He'd seen it happen before. He noted Marina's short stature and wondered if that was the case
Stranger: "So...Do you have any allies?" I ask, biting my lip a little. I know it wasn't really the best thing to ask or to admit but I was terribly lonely, each day that passed devoid of human company pushed be further towards the realms of insanity. Plus, Calder was a piece of home.
You: "No. Would want to be..my ally?" He was more likely to get them killed than do them any good. Sure he had his skills. He was strong, he could swim, make nets and traps, but that was overshadowed by the fact that he was terribly ungainly.
Stranger: I punch him in the chest in an awkward, brotherly gesture. "Me. Duh." It wasn't the kind of heart whelming moment when two tributes make a pact of survival but this was our way. I had seen him around the district, admired him from a distance. He was handsome, he kept his distance from people though. I was the year below him so rarely came into contact with him and I was often labelled loud and outgoing, He probably despised me.
