Remember Khaliifah Marcellus Williams! A black Muslim man falsely accused. Remember that he's innocent. Remember that the governor of Missouri, mike Parson who had the opportunity to save this man's life, decided not to. Remember all but three supreme court justices decided his life wasn't worth saving either. Remember his face. Remember his Last words. And remember how fucked up this country is
Rest in peace Marcellus

i don't want my existence to be like this. i don't want to be a "concept" or part of "what came before". i don't want to be a part of a mueseum. i don't want to be an ancient exhibit, i don't want people abusing my "dead" culture, i don't want to be a relic, a person without a land, a person without a home. i don't want to wake up one day and find that all the remains of my land and my people are parts of an exhibit at some white owned museum who have got my history wrong. i don't want people to forget us as a people and only remember us as an old culture in a museum.
i am not a fancy cultural exhibit. i am a person. we are people, and our land is STILL there. our land still exists, we have every right to our land. i am palestinian. i don't want to be forgotten. i want to go home.

If you're not from Argentina, please read this carefully
I have no words to describe the pain I feel. after 40 years of democracy, my country elected a party whose only goal is to be a colony once again, to sell the country to Elon Musk, to the USA and the UK, to have our sovereignty impugned and erased.
I remember the video of USAmerican congressists calling Argentina an "important asset for the United States". I remember when we told all of you to be vigilant because this was gonna turn into a genocide.
Tomorrow, the Mega DNU (Decree of Necessity and Urgency) is going to overrule most of our constitutional rights, and yesterday the Omnibus Law was presented to congress, including measures that make it illegal to gather in public without permission (state of siege), and make it so that protest is a crime. We will have to pay for the bullets that kill us, and cops will have absolute legal immunity to hunt us.
Word for word, a dictatorship. Fascism.
We've already gone through this many times, but I want to see worldwide protests about this. I want the UN to intervene. I want the world to make noise.
What worries me is this is not an isolated case. With many genocides going on worldwide, if the world fails Argentina, this will be the blueprint for all of the world.
Make no mistake, what happens here will happen everywhere there's natural resources and sovereignty. If not through overt genocide, through an extremely libertarian far right that wins elections by manipulating people, funded by Elon Musk. A second Operation Cóndor.

The most infamous crime Kissinger committed: a secret four-year bombing campaign in Cambodia that killed an untold number of civilians, despite the fact that it was a neutral nation with which the United States was not at war.
During his time in charge of the American foreign policy machine, Kissinger also directed illegal arms sales to Pakistan as it carried out a brutal crackdown on its Bengali population in 1971. He supported the 1973 military coup that overthrew a democratically elected socialist government in Chile, gave the go-ahead to Indonesia’s 1975 invasion of East Timor, and backed Argentina’s repressive military dictatorship as it launched its “dirty war” against dissenters and leftists in 1976. His policies during the Ford administration also fueled civil wars in Africa, most notably in Angola.

“We don’t know where to put the young! We don’t know where to put the adults! The women were exposed! Young men are gone! Elders are gone! This is cruel, oh world!”
I need you all to hear the pain in this woman’s voice and the suffering she has seen. My experience in the medical field was voluntary and cut short by my disability, but the sight of the dead, dying and gravely injured is something you never forget. I cannot imagine what she has seen.
Many people say “I am protecting my mental health by not engaging in this media,” and okay, yes, do not spend every hour watching videos from this crisis, it will break you. But do not ignore it altogether to ‘protect your mental health’ while people DIE. While children DIE.
I’m not trying to speak over anyone on this topic so if there’s anything wrong with what I’m saying, tell me and I’ll remove it. I just want to help spread media like this showing the reality of the situation where I can.

hey because i've been seeing a few of those bighuge boycott lists for palestine going around, reminder that the actual bds website is not calling for a boycott of so many companies.
bds activists are calling for a boycott of eight companies/products specifically:
hp (hewlett packard)
siemens
axa
puma
israeli fruits and vegetables (not a company—all produce labelled as coming from israel)
sodastream
ahava cosmetics
sabra
this list and the reason for the boycotts of these companies specifically is easily accessible on their website at this link.
also from their website, on the same page:
"What about those boycott lists with tens of products?
The global nature of today’s economy means that there are thousands of companies that have links to Israel and are complicit to various degrees in Israel’s violations of international law. However, for our movement to have real impact we need our consumer boycotts to be easy to explain, have wide appeal and the potential for success. That’s why globally, while we call for divestment from all companies implicated in Israel's human rights violations, we focus our boycott campaigns on a select few strategic targets. We also encourage the principle of context sensitivity, whereby activists in any given context decide what best to target and how, in line with BDS guidelines. There is a lot of information online claiming that some large companies give money to Israel, some of which turns out to be false. BDS has built a reputation for strictly adhering to established facts and producing the most accurate information."
[image description: two diagrams. the first shows white lines pointing to various red dots. there are only one or two lines pointing to each dot. some lines don't appear to be pointing at anything in particular, and some dots are not being pointed to. this diagram is labelled "Not targeted consumer boycott".
the second diagram shows many lines pointing at the same single dot. all of the lines are focused and they are completely surrounding the dot. this diagram is labelled, "A targeted consumer boycott focuses on a small number of companies". end description.]
this is all to say that while those 20-item-long boycott lists and their spread are usually well-intended, they are not helpful or necessary at this point in time. not buying from disney or walmart is not as effective and influential as refusing to buy products coming directly from stolen palestinian land. convincing people they need to remember a giant list of companies and products to not support will only intimidate them out of doing anything at all.
if you want to participate in the boycott, divestment, sanctions movement, please please PLEASE get your information from an organized group of activists who are involved, not (just) from stuff you see going around on twitter. the overview of the movement can be looked at on their website at this link. they also have resources about what else to do and how to get involved in your own community.
palestine WILL be free, and it will be free with focused organization.
edit: bds is also encouraging a boycott of carrefour, a company which is not included on the page about their other active boycotts. you can read about this boycott specifically on their website at this link.
in this twitter thread from october 23rd, which you can view at this link on a separate website, bds also discusses pressuring the following companies:
papa john's
mcdonald's
domino's
burger king
pizza hut
however, i can't find any reliable information outside of this twitter thread where they call for a strategic, targeted boycott of these companies. that doesn't necessarily mean not to boycott these companies too, but right now, what they are advocating most is the continued targeting of the nine companies they are specifically calling for to be boycotted.

palestinians refuse to lose hope, and you need to do the same. it is very difficult to not spiral into despair when it feels like all you can do is watch this unfold on social media but you can't let that happen. you cannot let yourself become numb and exhausted and indifferent. stay furious and stay devastated. hold onto your grief and let it give you the power to keep pushing. to keep protesting, boycotting, calling your state representatives and congress members if you live in the us - you have to stay emotional. israel and the us want to bully you into numbness and despair because that's the key to getting away with this. either get your citizens to accept your propaganda as gospel truth or make them give up the fight.
apathy and doom-spirals only aid in israel and the us's genocide of palestine. you have to keep hoping and you have to keep believing that yes if you try hard enough you can contribute to making a difference. don't look away, and don't give up either, okay? 🇵🇸💗

This child in gaza is screaming:
"I wish it was a dream. Oh, mom and dad. I wish it was a dream and my mom and dad are still alive" after being rescued from underneath the rubble to find his parents killed by Israel.
Share this, we are not numbers. Let our voices be heard in hopes that this stops.

This is for people of Israel/anyone who supports Israel/anyone who wants to stay "neutral" about this genocide, remember that this is how your fav "defenders/heroes/government servants are supposed to be responsible" are talking about innocent Palestinians civilians:
If you choose not to speak on this matter, if you choose to not speak up for Palestinians, then be well assured, 100% guaranteed that what's happening in Palestine can (and will if you let Israel get away with MASS MURDER) also just as easily happen to you, and then there will be other people who would stay "neutral" and silent on this matter.
If you think that the reason you're not taking sides is because you don't really know the situation that well, then EDUCATE yourself. It is your responsibility, as a fucking human, to do your research to stop and prevent such atrocities from being committed.
(I know, I FUCKING KNOW I have at least a few dozen followers from Israel/support Israel/ZIONISTS who are reading this and I know that your eyes may be blind, but your hearts aren't. Don't be a hypocrite, and don't be ignorant)

It has been hard for me to talk about how what is going on with Israel and Palestine is affecting me personally, but I grew up in Gaza and most of my family still lives there. My father did not survive the bombings last week and I have not been able to contact my younger sister in days. I am try to being understanding that most people do not have personal connections to what is happening and therefore are justifying their silence, but is heartbreaking to see this misinformation being spread. What’s happening there is a genocide, not a war. It is not antisemitic to support Palestine, it’s not even antiemetic to criticise Israel. There is no grey area or neutrality regarding this, and it is so easy to find resources that will educate you on the subject. It is my people and my home being destroyed so I will never be silent about this, but I please urge everyone to get informed and start speaking up and finding ways they can help.
decolonizepalestine has tons of information on Palestine’s history/propaganda that has been spread throughout the years
UK citizens can email their MP asking for a ceasefire
US citizens can call/email their local government officials asking for a ceasefire
Jewish Voice for Peace also has many resources for ways for US citizens to get involved, including protests
Donate to Palestine Children’s Relief Fund
Donate to Medical Aid for Palestine
Donate to help get food and hygiene kits to Gaza

I don't usually talk about Israel/Palestine, but as an Israeli citizen who doesn't support genocide, I need to speak out.
We're seeing, on a massive scale, news websites release articles saying "Israel bombs hospital in Gaza" and revising it to "Israel, Hamas trade blame for hospital bombing in Gaza". Every single news site is doing the same thing.
New York Times, original headline:
New York Times, new headline:
Business Insider, original headline: Hamas says Israeli forces bombed a hospital and killed hundreds of people. The UN has documented dozens of other attacks on healthcare in Gaza." New headline:
Reuters, original headline:
Reuters, new headline:
Politico, original headline:
Politico, new headline:
Boston Globe, original headline:
Boston Globe, new headline:
Financial Times, original headline:
Financial Times, new headline:
Daily Beast, old headline:
Daily Beast, new headline:
Every single news site is changing their headlines, but instead of admitting the correction as is done in every single other instance of this updating, they are acting as if this was always their headline. Note the repeated use of "Hamas and Israel trade blame" in the new headlines. This is the power the Israeli military has over the news, the control the US government exerts over every outlet, and the proof there is no unbiased reporting on Israel/Palestine. Our only accurate source is the civilian journalists being killed in Gaza and having their access to the outside world cut off.
(Before this is reposted and I am accused of being a self-hating Israeli citizen and Jew, I need Zionists to understand that the US military is not Judaism, and making the leap from "the US government exerts control over a lot of media" to "Jews control the media" shows more about you than me.)
