Just got a 6 and half minute phone call from the man I’ve been seeing for a month saying that recently (the last week) he’s realised that he confused our physical chemistry for a real connection. The distance (I’ve been home for a week) has made him realise that we weren’t suited (I haven’t had sex with him in ten days)
So yes, tonight I hate men
Because tonight I was told a man wanted my body but not me

Yesss!
Honestly the last few months I’ve felt like a Much Ado evangelist, knocking on people doors “Can I tell you about the best Shakespeare play?”
The Kingston/Branagh Macbeth is still the best production I’ve seen of that play. The set! The older woman!
Have you watched Much Ado About Nothing? You’d like it, I think. The Eve one is good.
I watched the Tennant and Tate production in college and remember liking it. I don't actually think I've read it or seen a production otherwise, which is odd (personal apologies to Kenneth Branagh).

But I'm already three steps ahead of you... my DVD of 'the Eve one' just came in the mail on Wednesday 😏

I always want to write when my diary is 250 miles away and never when it’s beside me. And god doesn’t that sum me up.

mildly bitter about the master saying "i hate your piece of shit dad" to kate to taunt her instead of the inherently funnier not to mention far more traumatising "i fucked your dad"

I mean yes prostitution has a long and well documented relationship with exploitation but that doesn’t take away from the fact it may be the oldest profession. Your personal views on morality don’t change a long held historical view.
The first record of prostitution is in 2500 BCE; at least 1500 years before the first record of midwifery in 1900 to 1550 BCE.
Midwifery and probably prostitution have alway existed in close proximity since historically women we would consider ‘midwives’ worked closely with women in all manner of personal care. Most importantly to female prostitutes their work include abortions and methods of contraception. When it came to birthing most women birthed with the help of female relatives or local medical women. Employing a midwife was probably not as common as having unpaid assistance.
Prostitution was also probably regulated before midwifery.
the oldest profession was probably actually babysitting. like "i have to go do something, can you watch my baby for a while?" has to be one of the most ancient requests ever. animals do this. why wouldn't people living in caves and inventing fire not also take advantage of someone else watching their baby while they go and kill an antelope or something for the tribe to eat

I would say yes. Morality isn’t a condition on whether something is a profession. Perhaps not begging for money, since that requires no training but one could argue that if you gained experience you could become an accomplished and professional begger.
But going back to the matter at hand. There’s no sense in denying prostitution is one of the oldest, perhaps the oldest, professions in the world. Sex makes the world go round at the end of the day and trading in it can ensure survival and even prosperity.

It puts food on the table and money in your pocket so ergo I would consider it a profession.

There’s some evidence that it might have been prostitution. Necessity breeds trade.
