So, I just binged the entire season of the Umbrella Acadmey and need someone to write a TLC au?

Wolf - Luther (1). would do anything to protect the person he loves most. Turned into a human/animal hybrid.

Scarlet - Diego (2). Great with a gun, but probably would be with other weapons (knives?) wants to protect everyone but is stubborn and hot headed when opposed.

Winter - Allison (3). Can alter reality in a hot second. Chooses not to use her powers after something bad happens because she did. Willing to risk death to protect people she loves.

Thorne - Klaus (4). You know this boy has some demons he can’t get through. Would have met Cress in a different timeline and thinks he’s not good enough for her, but also could never get over it if he lost her. He was in the military (well wanted to be). Throne telling everyone Kai (6) agrees with him even though Kai doesn’t. Everyone constantly writes him off and he just rolls with the punches and proves he’s amazing.

Cress - Dave. Captured the heart of someone who never saw that happening to them. A light in the middle of something tragic. Sees the good in someone and loves them even when the can’t figure out why.

Jacin - Number 5. Jacin already thinks everyone is an idiot. Would 100% try to change time if it meant protecting people. Probably just wants a decent cup of coffee and thinks “if you want the job done right, do it yourself”.

Kai - Ben (6). Just imagine Kai being Thorne’s voice of reason. Feels like he doesn’t do as much as the rampion crew even though he’s got all his unrealized potential (just needs a little help). Constantly telling Thorne to do better, giving him shit, and making snide comments nobody can hear.

Cinder - Vanya (7). Literally doesn’t know what she’s capable of. Her entire life she was ignored and pushed aside. Absolutely f*cking destroys people once her power is released. Just wants to live a normal life where people appreciate her.

Iko - Mom. Always looks amazing. Loves everyone and tries to support them when others don’t.

Levana - Dad. Literally everyone complains about her the whole time and she’s the reason shit goes down.

Thaumaturages - Temp Aeternalis. I know they wouldn’t be controlled by Levana in this but?!?

Anyways… I wrote this super fast so there’s probably more reasons I would au these characters this way. But someone artistic should write this.

i just realized that wolf from the lunar chronicles was purposefully given green eyes because scarlet is red (her name, her hair, her hoodie, her personality corresponds with the meaning of red) and green and red are opposite on the color wheel, so it’s like wolf and scarlet are meant to be each other’s counterparts, or alphas. (oof i love being smart for once)

Ooh headcanons! Casual intimacy? With the whole family! The careful way Wolf touches Cress's shoulder to move past her or quietly get her attention. Cinder plopping her feet in Thorne's lap. Winter twisting a curl of Scarlet's hair. Kai and Jacin in a crowded elevator, and Jacin edging protectively closer. Just little touches--things that show how close they are!

Ahhhhhhhh!!! Your examples are so incredibly adorable all by themselves! I can’t even express how much I love the idea of Wolf being so very careful about how he touches Cress. Instinctive little touches like that are such a big part of what makes the Rampion crew more family than friends. Touches and actions like…

Iko absently playing with the hair of whoever she’s sitting next to. She weaves delicate braids into Cress’s short locks (or Jacin’s longer ones), then unravels them to leave pretty little waves.

Jacin automatically throwing out an arm to halt any unpleasant jolts for his passenger—often Kai or Cinder or Winter—when the hover brakes unexpectantly.

Thorne gently tucking his flight jacket around Cinder’s shoulders when she falls asleep in the Rampion’s copilot seat after several hours’ worth of work on the control panel’s wiring.

Scarlet holding out a spoonful of the stew she’s just made to Cress for tasting, her other hand poised under it to catch any drips.

Winter propping her chin on Kai’s shoulder while they’re waiting for Jacin to bring the hover around after yet another exhausting press conference about the bioelectricity inhibitor.

Cress wordlessly handing any stubborn pickle/jam/jelly jars over to Wolf to open for her.

In turn, Wolf wordlessly handing over tangled headphones or knotted shoestrings to Cress because her small fingers excel where his giant hands fall short. 

Thorne carrying Cinder’s discarded heels (and Cress’s, of course) for her as the Peace Ball winds down and everyone’s walking back to the palace’s living space together.

Wolf snagging Thorne’s collar to haul him back before he accidentally steps off a curb wrong or steps in something unpleasant in the barnyard.

Iko holding onto Cinder’s arm for balance as she adjusts the strap on her sandals.

Scarlet dishing up second and third helpings at dinner without being asked because after all the meals they’ve eaten together, she knows who’s going to want what.

Kai bumping his shoulder against Thorne’s in greeting (and as a wordless “scoot over”) when he drops onto the couch next to him on movie night.

Sorry we’re a bit late to the party this year, but we’re very happy to announce the themes and dates for TLC Ship Weeks 2019! Buckle up, because we’ve got some fun ones this year!

But wait, what’s going on with the last Cinder x Kai theme? Why are there two phrases? That’s right, for this year, we decided to throw in a double theme: since the two phrases form a dichotomy, we thought it’d be interesting to see how you guys play with that juxtaposition! You can also just use one of the themes, if you’d prefer. It’s up to you!

One final announcement before we go:           Unfortunately, there are no plans to hold a raffle this year. The admins fell a bit behind and never got around to organizing a raffle, so consequently, there will be no raffle and no spreadsheet. Why you should read the Lunar Chronicles

-the premise is fairytale retellings set in the future which means it is the perfect balance of sci-fi and fantasy

-each of the books introduces a new main character put you still see from the old protag’s POVs

-the books go by so fast. the first book is slow and the world is almost shrouded in mystery, but after that the action and excitement is pretty much non-stop

-you can see from anyone’s point of view whether it’s the hero, the villain, the love interest or a side character

-CARSWELL THORNE (if you didn’t know who your favorite character will be. he is introduced (or at least named) before his love interest)

-The series features a totally kick-ass lineup of female leads

-every girl has a love interest and everything is hetero but the story doesn’t suffer because of it

-the books are each named after the main character of each book: Cinder is the first book, then Scarlet comes next, then Cress, and it finishes with Winter

-NO STUPID EFFING LOVE TRIANGLES

-there’s a freaking revolution (kinda)

-the world of the story features cyborgs, androids, people who live on the moon, a plague, genetically engineered super humans, and more

-the story travels all over the world

-mother effing Iko

-While the books each retell a different fairytale the books all have one huge story arc

-it will provide ALL OF THE FEELS

-All of the books not counting the prequel or novellas add up to 2,200+ amazing pages
