lmao no one asked but that anon was annoying so i'm gonna drop a few 'unpopular opinions' of mine. before anything, i'm not hating on bts, i'm not hating on the whole fandom bcs ik it has their good sides as well, i'm not saying other fandoms/fans aren't the same. these are just my own opinions about armys who have gone too far with their bs. let's just get that clear :))

1. bts didn't pave the way that's tbh more of a fact tho

2. honestly some armys are absolutely shit, not all of them, and there are similar fans in other fandoms too (yup i have to point that out again). but seriously, when it comes to being a kpop fan, there are armys with the ugliest attitudes towards non-armys or ppl with opinions that aren't like their own

3. you can't tell me i'm wrong here bcs i have with my own two eyes seen a fair share of this: some armys seriously don't claim other armys that like other groups as well...

4. ... or armys who don't like all of their songs

5. some who shit on stuff that aren't even kpop related are the absolute worst. lately when celebrities have passed away? 'lol wouldn't have happened if they stanned bts'

6. 'bts worked their asses off' other groups did too sis

7. 'skz copied their concept' i'm not saying this as a skz stan so don't get me wrong here but important and heavy topics isn't something only bts know about. stray kids have these kind of concepts because they can relate to it and know that both stays and non-stays do as well. the same goes for way, way more groups

8. while we're at it: 3racha isn't hoseok, yoongi and namjoon just bcs they're all rapppers. they're both different in their own ways and there are a shitton of examples.

9. this might just be a detail but it pisses me off anyway lol. armys leaving traces on places that aren't related to bts or kpop at all. this. is fucking annoying. 'like if you're an army!' 'anyone else who came from [some bts stuff]? xD' literally no one asked. fr, these comments show up on other artists' music or maybe even, idk, videos on how trees fucking photosynthesize?? w hat

10. forgot to add this one but let's be real,

by doing all of the nine things above, you're doing nothing but embarrass the rest of the fandom and bring them a bad reputation

I want mental health to be so normalised that little children can tell their parents if they’re feeling mentally ill just like they would if they had a stomach ache or a fever.

I want mental health to be so normalised that school lets you go home after a panic attack episode like they do if you sustain an injury.

I want mental health to be so normalised that when someone’s in recovery the people around them ask for progress reports and send get well soon cards just like they would for any other sort of recovery.

I want mental health to be normalised because every mental health disorder is just as frightening, just as damaging as a life threatening injury and we pass people by every day who are so unwell in this sense but who don’t receive a fraction of the care they deserve just because mental health is unseen.
