Summer 18 habits
Make your bed – yes, really. When starting your day or cleaning your room, the easiest task to tackle is your bed. I use a duvet (and wash the cover every week with my sheets) instead of a top-sheet and comforter so all I have to do is fluff my pillows and toss the duvet on top. Easy Peasy. Makes me feel productive, makes my room seem cleaner instantly, and makes me look forward to getting in bed later.
Plan at least one meal a week – I know some of you still live at home, so maybe let your parents know that you'd like to help with dinner occasionally. The plus side is that you have a hand in what's being made, and you're learning important cooking skills. One meal a week that you promise yourself will be made at home means you have a meal to look forward to and it cuts down on processed and refined products.
Get a skincare regimen – The secret to good skin is consistency and moisturizing. Definitely continue reading up on the products you use (especially exfoliators!) but dropping serious money on cleansers and lotions that you don't use consistently is a waste of money. A good starting point is a gentle cleanser, a serum, a day cream, and a heavier night cream. Pan out from there.
Spend time outside – It's good for the body, mind, and spirit. And on that note,
Spend time away from your phone – I make time each day to put my phone in a different room. I've been using the app Pocket Points to earn points for leaving my phone locked. Those points earn coupons and special deals at food and clothing stores. If I'm on a trip, I bring my phone for emergency purposes only. Break the habit of checking your phone constantly.
Take time to listen to yourself – Are you feeling tired or worn down? Have you been anxious? Experiencing an emotion that you're not sure why? Take time to explore it and go through it. It's important to learn how to listen to yourself.
Learn how to take care of yourself – Self care is whatever makes you feel better that is a (mostly healthy) way to cope or process. It can be candle lit baths with bath bombs. It can be crying for half an hour in your room. It can be canceling plans to stay home and lay on your couch. Allow yourself that time and allow yourself to be taken care of.
Devote time to plan/organize – I used to do this once a week. I'd check schedules, due dates, bank accounts, etc.  Now I do a bit each evening and make note of it. It takes a bit of experimentation but do what works for you. It helps keep you on track and prevents any hard surprises from popping up.
Read a book – I'm serious. It keeps workload from school from becoming a shock to you. Reading any kind of book for about an hour a night is going to keep you in the habit of reading and devoting time once homework comes back into your life. Also, it's a good way to learn about topics you may not otherwise learn in school. For example, I have a literature degree and am about to go to law school for public advocacy but I've been reading every book I can find on gut health and holistic living.

i saw your body checks. whats your fitness routine
In the mornings I spend a few minutesstretching. It’s not always a full yoga flow; sometimes I just wantto touch my toes and pop my back. It changes day-to-day. From there Ido a plank and work up my endurance. I do vacuums throughout the day, which give me more control of my muscles while doing a plank. I alsodo calf raises in sets of ten. Every day I make time to walk at leasta mile, usually after dinner. It keeps me from eating too much sinceI know afterwards I’ll be walking in the heat. Three-four times aweek I’ll go for a run, running and walking on and off for about fourmiles. The days I don’t run I do exercises in my room with 5lbweights or using my body weight.

OKAY, SIT DOWN AND LISTEN UP YOURE ABOUT TO LEARN A THING OR TWO ABOUT HOW TO LOOK EXPENSIVE
•When in doubt wear it in black, white or grey
• Have at least one outfit that makes you feel like a BOSS ASS BITCH whenever you need a pick me up where it. You don’t even need to wear it out if you don’t want to, wearing it around the house will make you feel killer
• NEVER buy something you will only where once or with that one pair of jeans
• Don’t leave the house with sweatpants or leggings and jumpers on unless you are going to workout. It will make you feel like crap all day. Don’t get me wrong you have the right to be comfy but just make sure that what you wear makes you feel like a million dollars and other people will notice how damn fine you are.
• Have a colour scheme for your wardrobe and stick to it. If everything can go together you will never not look put together and classy.
• Don’t waste your money on trends they are trends for a reason - THEY WONT LAST
• If you want to look expensive buy clothes that fit you or get them fitted.
• Clean lines look chic and beautiful IRON YOUR DAMN CLOTHES
• Know what looks good on you and what you look good in, bear in mind that they may not be the same thing so have outfits that do both as well as one or the other. Cover all your options
• Become confident flaunting what you got, you look amazing.
• DONT THINK THAT SPANKS ARE SHAMEFUL. STOP SLEEPING ON THEM. THEY ARE THE SHIT. LOVE THEM AND USE THEM.
• Don’t make rash decisions when it comes to buying clothes make sure it’s good material and truly looks good. Sleep on decisions they may be the best one you ever made.
• MAN MADE MATERIALS LIKE POLYESTER LOOK CHEAP CAUSE THEY ARE. Save your money and buy 100% cotton or linen or silk or satin etc. Don’t buy man made materials they look cheap and don’t last.
• Dress for the life you want. It works. Honestly.

School starts in a few weeks and I want to do some easy "glow ups" or like simple stuff I can do to make myself look/feel better before then. Any suggestions?
Girrrll I gotcha! With these tips, if you follow them, I can almost promise, you’ll not only look and feel like you are a fucking goddess, but you will make everyone around you feel like you got your whole life together.
Organize your whole everything for school. Have the first day of school outfit ready, your bags ready, brief yourself on what you will be learning.
Coconut oil your hair a ton and then stop doing it 4 days before school. There’s a post right here on hair tips. But not only will this make your hair grow, it will glow.
Moisturize yourself every night and morning. I just use coconut oil but you can use whatever you want. Put 3 dots on the spot you wanna moisturize and rub until your hands feel funny. Make sure you don’t add too much, though.
2 days before school you could (skin care routine in no specific order):Do a peel off mask for everywhere but your nose. Then do a blackhead remover on just your nose . Pimple bandages on places you think acne is coming in. Moisturize (If you rub, rub upwards and then pat.). Toner (Pat pat pat)
To have glowy skin on the first day:Legit before you go to bed, the day before, put on a like face mask. THen when you wake up go ahead and wash up and stuff. Don’t forget your toner and remember to DAB it on. Also the night before, put pimple bandages on.
Whiten your teeth
Start taking your daily vitamins boo
Fix your sleep schedule. Go to bed at like 10 and wake up an hour before school.
Put a smart look together for school, this includes makeup if you wear it (if not it’s okay you’re just as beautiful && glowing) what I mean by this is like, what kind of look are you going for? Baddie? Classy and sweet? Hella casual? Piece one together based off of this. If you want to look more mature, you need to piece something together that screams “I have my shit together and I’m not playing this year, I have goals to achieve.”
Start using a planner correctly
Eat breakfast when possible. Avoid anything that will upset your stomach and go for small and simple. If you can’t do this, take a vitamin to boost your day.
Bring water to school. It seriously pays off to have some water with you.
What are your goals in school this year? write them down and read them every day.
HAVE YOUR MAKEUP LOOK READY. No joke if you dnt knw what kind of makeup you’re gonna do on the day of school you’re gonna be stressed af
Bonus: Glowing while in school (intellectually and more)
Let’s talk outfits
A messy bun, light mascara, skinny jeans, shoes, and an oversized sweater goes a long fuckin way.
But so does sweatpants?
And also, you’re going to want to AVOID procrastinating those assignments at all costs.
Yes, I went there. When you get an assignment, especially homework or something that’s “due __ days from now” you want to do it as soon as possible.
So an example would be to do homework when you can like, say you arrive to a class but the teacher isn’t there or the kids are talking and class aint started: Get the homework from your other class out, work on it. OR you can go ahead and start briefing yourself on what you’re gonna have to do.
USE THOSE THINGS RIGHT. You know that annoying ass syllabus and textbook you get that you’re 90% sure you won’t ever use? Stop everything you’re doing and read the syllabus.  It should have something like all the topics youll go over. Example “introduction to biology” or something. So, if you want to get ahead of your class, when you go home, google the first one. Have a notebook or a google doc open and jot down notes. Watch youtube videos on it..etc. This is especially true for subjects you’re scared about failing in. If you do this and continue to do this throughout the school year it will pay off. You can use your textbook with this too.
Ask your teacher stuff.  God I know everyone says this but I mean it in a different way. If you want to do the above in a more advanced way, ask them about 3 weeks into school “what’s ahead of you”
Stay away from drama at all costs. If some girl comes to you talking shit, act like you’re listening but pay it no mind.
Don’t be afraid to go in pajamas. Giirrrlll I went to work today in my damn pajamas. Deadass in fluffy ass pajama pants and flip flops okay. Don’t be afraid.
Which reminds me that I may be making a back 2 school outfit post on what to wear for certain looks.
and other stuff to glow up in school?? who knows
Hope it helped darling!! byyee~ mwah!
