Delaney was doing fine, she was no longer as worried about her older sister and her younger brother. She was mainly focusing on herself and dance. She spend more time in the dance studio creating new pieces that could work for her reel. For once in her life she only had to worry about herself and how good she felt. It had been sometime since she felt that way.

⟠Iâm doing my best to live life, because we only get one. ⟠ Original Bio âŸ
Olympia is still dealing with her heart ache. She is still trying to fix herself, trying to figure out how to keep him in her life and move on. Because she had a feeling he would never feel the same way about her that she felt for her. He would always be her best friend, she just needed to push past her own feelings to let that happen. She is much better now, only hitting the really lows at odd hours of the night when she cant sleep. But she has a special strain of weed that relieves her sadness and helps her sleep.

âI wasnât joking.â Marian finally looked up from the mess of papers around her to smile sadly at John. She hadnât been joking in the slightest. Things were so bad that merely being alive was all it took to be considered all right. Not even alive and well. Plenty of people were alive and not doing well in the slightest. But at least they were alive. Johnâs answer to her question about Robin had her frowning. Something was off, and naturally Marian was worried.
âI donât find response that comforting.â But John was here with her, so surely there wasnât any more reason to worry about Robin. Marian hoped as much at least. As John lay in an empty space near her, Marian scooted closer to him, laying down herself and resting her head on his back. It was the most comfortable she felt since this whole ordeal began.
âIf you look hard enough in the old papers from Nottingham, you can see where the corruption is. I⊠may have done some snooping even from in London. You know Iâve never been the one to run head on in to things. That was you and Robinâs job, I followed and kept you out of trouble. This is different but⊠Thereâs got to be somethingâsomewhereâin one of these. This is Los Angeles.â
âWell donât say it like that. Also donât smile like that you are going to make me worry more.â John knew she hadnât been joking but he had hope, all he had was hope. Johnâs phone went off, he responded to Robin quickly trying not to make a face at the message before tucking it back into his pocket. Something was going on and the fact that he didnât know what it was bothered him in ways he couldnât express. His main concern was making sure that Marian was safe and protected. Heâd die before heâd let something anything happen to her.Â
âI know but itâs the best I can give you. Heâs safe.â He spoke before another text message came through, he answered quickly. Taking a short second to send another one off to someone else. John didnât move when she laid on him instead smiling a bit that she felt safe enough to lay down with him. The library was so quiet they would have heard anyone trying to sneak up anyways, so he wasnât worried.Â
âI hope you find something but I have a feeling in my gut, itâs a student. There are too many connections with people to have it not be personal in some fashion.â

msmaricn:
Marianâd been reminded only that morning that sometimes the best way to solve things was to take matters into your own hands. So thatâs what sheâd decided to do. And if she thought to hard on whether John and Robin were okay, sheâd worry far more than she normally did. Sheâd never been the brawn in a situation - even at eight she was always the brains. So rather than give in to the notion that there was no rhyme or reason behind any of this, sheâd grabbed some old papers from the campus library. History might have been the best place to start. And the worry would stick at the back of her mind while she focused on reading.Â
She glanced up as the footsteps approached. Only if someone was looking for her would they find her here. And as far as she was aware, there was no reason anyone dangerous would be looking for her. The slight speed in her heart rate slowed again as soon as she heard her best friendâs voice, and she threw John a smile.Â
âYes, of course. Iâm alive.â That was almost all it took to be considered all right anymore. âAre you? âŠand Robin? I know how to hide, John, I learned that from you.â Marian glanced at the papers spread about her in the cubicle sheâd holed herself up in, letting out a sigh. âI have to do something. Maybe thereâs a clueâŠsomewhere.â
John was of course already looking for both Robin and Marian the moment news broke on campus but the two were good at one thing, that he wouldnât admit. At least out loud. âThat isnât funny.â He spoke rather unlike John, even joking about her dying after getting reunited so soon not something he wanted to think about. Marian was innocent in all of this, she hadnât been here long enough to make any enemies. He doubted she would be able to anyways. âIâm standing here, so Iâm safe. The person would have to get a jump on me fairly well, I did live in Nottingham after all.â And he and Robin had gotten very good at sneaking around.Â
âRobin is safe.â He did nât elaborate that something was obviously very wrong and that he only knew he was safe because of texts to check up on her. He leaned against the door frame for a moment before seeing the good idea to lay on the floor and closed the door. He was forced to lay down because even sitting he could easily be seen. âIn old newspapers?â

Upon his best friends request he first stopped at Marianâs dorm room when no one answered he turned towards the the quad. After searching just about everywhere for the third amigo, he checked the last place anyone should be on a lock down. The school Library. He found her towards the back surrounded by old newspapers. âHey Love, Iâve been looking everywhere for you. You alright?â He walked into the room she had acquired for herself. She was sitting on the floor obscured from view. âAt least you are out of sight. What are you looking at?â @msmaricn

Robin: and I know it's not fair to ask of you but she means something to the both of us
Robin: can you check on Marian? I can't explain now, mate, but I need to know she's safe.
John: Oh course.
John: You don't to have an explanation I was planning to check on her anyways.
John: Is everything alright though?

âYou can try and change people, but they donât always stay changed. Something or someone always comes along and ruins all the work you put into a person. Maybe that says more about the person than you,â she shrugged, âbut doesnât that reflect you, too, at the end of the day? The fact that you couldnât make a strong enough impression on someoneâs life?â Distress creeped into her voice. She was letting on more than she ever had with a stranger. It was slightly terrifying. âYou do your best, but maybe your best isnât good enough, especially when you see failure after failure after failure.â Faces belonging to the lost boys flashed through her mind. âSo, yes, I believe you make it look easy. Because Iâve tried. And itâs not as easy as it sounds.â Wendy stared at the ground, not wanting to make eye contact after her rant. John wasnât a stranger, she realized, but they certainly werenât quite friends yet. The earlier feeling of being comfortable around him was returning. Maybe he was changing his aura or something. Did people who read cards believe in that stuff too? âThank you,â she said again. âItâs been a long time since Iâve wondered in my thoughts. Iâm used to getting into trouble for doing that.â
âYou canât change some people, but you know, knowing that helps. You are an amazing person so you donât need to worry about them. Just donât worry about you staying amazing that the most important thing in the very end of the day.â He smiled patting her knee for a moment. John shook his head, âNo not really, because there are people stuck in their ways and at the same time I have effected others is such a way that one doesnât matter as much.â John smiled unaware of what she was letting on, he just felt the need to calm her distress. That he was picking up on completely. âWendy, what is this really about? I canât help you if you keep skirting around the subject you really want to talk about. Look I am not going to judge you, its not my thing okay?â He could tell that something was up and that Wendy really needed to talk about it. Because when was the last time she spoke about it? A long time he was sure. He was just a rather calming kind of person, really it wasnât an act. âWhy would you get in trouble for that? It happenes to everyone.â

âOh,â she stared at the shirt she now grasped in her hands. âThatâs really sweet of you, but are you sure? You wonât be needing it later?â After he turned she glanced around nervously to make sure there were no other people around. Thatâs when she noticed a few bushes and decided itâd be better to duck behind them in case someone did happen to show up. If she wasnât so desperate to get out of her sweater she would have turned the manâs shirt down. After changing into the shirt, she emerged from the bushes and tapped John on the shoulder, âall clear. Thank you, Iâm sure you saved me from heat stroke. Iâll be sure to wash it and give it back to you.â Her eyes widened at his statement, âbut the beach is great! Besides, thatâs what sunblock is for. Maybe since Iâve never been to one before I fell in love with it when I first went to one when I got here. You can find the coolest seashells here! I already have a shelf in my dorm full of them.â
John chuckled nodding still completely turned away from her, âIâll be alright I tend to carry extra clothes just in case so this is my just in case scenario.â John heard her move but waited until he knew she was done changing. He was a resspectable gentleman after all. Plus he had his eye on a different blonde. A smile produced on his face just thinking about Alice. When she tapped him on the shoulder he turned around smiling, but it quickly turned into a chuckle. âOh sorry I donât mean to laugh. My shirt is just so big on you. I donât mind Iâd rather you wear my shirt then passed out from the heat.â He waved off her last remark, âNo need to wash it I can do that.â He didnât want her going through the extra trouble. More so since he could freely do his own laundry on campus. âThat is very true I have been to the beach more then once back home and here is really no different save for more tourists I think.â

âOh if you are driving I might have to take you up on that. I promise to bring a bag just in case, but if I donât have to look I should be alright.â John chuckled lightly. âHey I love helping people not worry. Wanna do something off campus?â

âOhh.â That she could understand. Sort of. Torin played with the end of her sleeve, wondering when or if she would have to go back to her room to change. The temperature rarely bothered her, hot or cold, but maybe LA had temperatures she wasnât used to dressing for. âI like the clouds too,â she added after a second. âI want to bounce on âem. Iâm still trying to figure out a way to build a ladder up there.â
John smiled nodding, it was a nice one, one that didnât judge. âOf course I could just wear a long sleeve shirt and roll the sleeve up when it gets warm I suppose.â He shrugged, he did just miss England. âWhen you do that please do give me a call I would love to join.â
