I need everyone to come together to help my friend Safaa.

Safaa (@sfaamq10) is a young mother, only 26 years old with her infant son Amir.

Safaa and I have been talking for some time, and what she has told me about her situation is absolutely horrific and awful. She is scared and worried for her baby son every single day. Many new mothers have the support of their families and can raise their children safely, but not Safaa.

She is struggling to raise her baby in a subpar tent, and winter in Gaza only gets colder and colder.

This is how Safaa has to cook, only if she can find food. Not only is this inefficient, it is difficult and dangerous. Can you possibly imagine trying to cook like this for over a year?

Safaa and her family have struggled so much for so long. They could have never, ever predicted this. Among insects, freezing temperatures, and the thin walls of her tent, all Safaa hopes for is to live.

She is struggling. Her family is struggling. Please help her and her family. I do not know how to ask even more kindly, more graciously, more urgently than I already have.

You must find your humanity and use it to help our friend Safaa.

I want to make so many jokes about Zod haunting the narrative, but like, that isn't tEcHnIcAlLy correct, so I'm going to make a lot of jokes about Zod haunting Desir which is actually funnier.

I never used to leave comments but since I got into the habit of commenting on everything i enjoy it's been incredible. Especially when the author gets back to me about it and we get to have a discussion of what other ideas they had. One writer replied to my comment with a 5 paragraph essay detailing the Floorplan of the building the characters lived in and it was incredible

Anyways this is all to say that if you find a fic that just makes you want to scream from the rooftops, leave a comment saying that to the author and maybe they will join you and you can scream incoherently together

Fun fact/novel spoiler: after Zod said the thing (If i had a son I hoped he would have been like you) Desir thinks that he feels the same way 😭😭😭

Still have no idea why they brought this Helena character in tho, like??? You don't need to give him a wife to be able to say 'i would have wanted a son like you', but whatever.
