Welcome to The Tutoring Toolkit!
What is The Tutoring Toolkit?
The Tutoring Toolkit is a database of London-based university students, offering tutoring in a range of subjects up to A-Level.
Why use The Tutoring Toolkit?
We’re all current university students, which means academia is our top priority. We’ve done the GCSEs; we’ve done the A-Levels; and now we want to pass on all the tips and tricks we’ve learnt. Whether you’re looking for a primary level tutor, you need university application advice or you’re about to take your public exams, you can find the help you need with The Tutoring Toolkit.
How does The Tutoring Toolkit work?
Start by clicking the “navigate” tab on the right. You can then search for a tutor based on subject, university, location etc. Each of our tutors has included a contact email in their profile; to get in touch send them a message, or click the “mail” tab on the right to contact The Tutoring Toolkit directly. Our tutors will then get in touch to arrange a face-to-face session. Skype sessions are also available at the tutor’s discretion.
How do I sign up to tutor with The Tutoring Toolkit?
To sign up, email [email protected] with your details, and we’ll get in touch shortly.
Anything else?

Helen
My name is Helen, and I am studying Materials Science (MEng) at Oxford University. I took Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Chemistry for A-Level, and I am happy to tutor in all of these subjects up to A-Level standard.
I have had 2 years of tutoring experience, and give lessons either over Skype, or in person. I normally focus on building up an effective exam technique, but I carefully observe the different learning approaches of each child to consider what would be best for them. I am also happy to give advice on the Oxbridge application process for STEM subjects, such as for the PAT (Physics Aptitude Test). In my spare time, I play the piano, violin, and viola,  all of which I also teach.

Lucy
My name’s Lucy and I’m reading English Language and Literature at Oxford University. My A levels are English Literature, History of Art and Art, as well as History at AS level. I have an infectious enthusiasm for english lit and would love the opportunity to help students find their stride in this subject. I have also helped students with university applications, knowing full well how confusing and stressful a process this can be. During term time I live in Oxford, but the rest of the year I live in South West London. I am happy to arrange both face-to-face sessions and Skype sessions. My other interests lie in drama, singing and skiing.

Susie
My name’s Susie and I’m working towards a BA (Hons) in English Language and Literature from Oxford University. My A-levels were English Literature, History and Russian, and I did Maths AS Level. I have come to realise that teaching is something I really enjoy, whether I’m giving presentations to my tutor group at university, or just helping my younger cousins with their homework. I would love to transfer my school and university experiences to others going through the same processes, including Oxbridge applications. I live in West London. In my spare time I’m an enthusiastic student journalist and university lacrosse player.
