𝐢𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐚 𝐝𝐚𝐲. just one. the doctor wasn’t settling in; not as he sat in front of a computer —bloody tech—or as he skimmed through yet another site full of crummy looking homes for even crummier prices. surely a property couldn’t be worth this much, not when it globally recognized as a human right— but then again, humans had never been very clever.

the doctor allowed himself yet another day of putting off the inevitable. he shut the laptop and wandered off into the main living room, the one place he knew she would be.

“I’m not.. I’m not.. I’m not cut out for this. Settling down. Mortgage. Really, can’t you do all this? It’s all kind of… bleh anyway.”
