Tips!

How do I get noticed by the boys? 

Reply to their tweets! The boys always stalk through accounts so constantly replying to their tweets will help! They will fave, retweet and even follow you if they see you in their mentions

Don’t spam! The boys hate spam so I’d advise you not to spam them!

Tweet them when they’re online! The boys are constantly online especially when they have a day off or even a break. Drew deals with jet lag a lot so he often creeps on during the early hours. Sometimes they also check their DM’s so if you have a solo DM you can always DM them! 

The boys especially Nate and Drew do retweet sprees really often so if you have pictures from the show they just played, there’s a high chance of getting noticed! Besides pictures from the show, they also retweet the most random things ever! 

Levi often creeps on people so if he’s online, tweet him something cheesy so he’ll fave and stuff!

Sometimes, The Tide Update Squad ( TTUS ) create hashtags to appreciate the boys and the boys often scroll through the tags and it might help you get noticed! Myself and a few others have also started a tag called #YouArePerfectNate and we’ll be tweeting to the tag 9PM EST June 26th so it might help you get noticed! 

You can always ask update accounts and myself for solo DM’s with the boys. If you want a solo DM with Nate or Drew, follow cuddlelevi on twitter and if you want a solo DM with Austin or the band account, follow bracketclifford on twitter and just tell me you’d like a solo DM with whoever! I’m currently trying to get Levi to follow me so I can have 5/4 

How do I get followed! 

During #TideTuesday, the boys are likely to do follow sprees so if you are lucky enough to be online when they are, do what the tweet says and wait! I got my follows from follow sprees and they really help! 

Have a The Tide related user! Having a The Tide related user helps them notice you so its easier! 

If you ever get the chance to meet them, give them your twitter. It’s pretty useful so maybe say something that will leave an impression so they’ll remember you

The boys also do random follow sprees so turn on their notifs! It’ll keep you updated on when they’re online! 

How do I start a fan page for the boys? 

If you want to start a fan page for the boys, make sure you know where you’re heading. You could have a theme or just posted concert pictures in general! 

On instagram, the boys tend to like pictures a lot so make some nice edits and tag them! The boys also repost edits and fan art that they think are exceptional as well so your effort doesn’t go unnoticed! 

On twitter, the same applies for instagram, you could make lock screens or give out solo DM’s if you have their follow! 

How do I make friends with other tiders? 

In the fandom, there are many really lovely tiders. I know lots of tiders and they’re all lovely. Many of them were my insiders and we still talk after we work together! To start off with, you can go and join some group chats, I’m in three group chats ( twitter, whatsapp and kik). Its really easy to make friends if you’re in group chats. But there are some tiders that I’m not gonna name that have just been exceptionally rude. They’ve been sending death threats to my friend so just stay safe. You can always join group chats through twitter so if you want to join, just tweet me or something! 

You can always send a message to different tiders and say hey! You wanna be friends or something and that’s it! It seems awkward at first but I promise you, that’s how myself and thetider became The Tide Tumblr Team!

Randomly replying to another tider’s tweet will also help! I’ve met so many different tiders through replying to tweets and everyone is so lovely!

What are some inside jokes of the fandom? 

Poop is one of the many jokes. The boys always say poop in their videos and its plain weird but dorky as well

Another one is the cowbell. It started off from Mr Pinecone who was featured in the boys’ cover of Steal My Girl and as of June 2015, Levi’s bio is ‘ Hi I’m Levi and I play the cowbell’
