LG launches K92 smartphone as cheap 5G handset
LG has launched an affordable 5G phone in the form of the K92 5G, which is priced at just $359. That’s quite a low price for a 5G device, and puts it among the cheapest such handsets, undercutting the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G by around $100. The K92 will provide 5G access with the help of three carriers in the United States, namely AT&T, Cricket Wireless, and UScellular.
The new smartphone news comes ahead of the Black Friday sales that are set to go live in November from various retailers. The LG K92 5G will be hot property for those who wish to buy a 5G device but don’t want to spend too much on it. The rest of the phone’s specifications are average at best.
It has been granted a 6.7-inch IPS LCD with full HD+ resolution. This screen has a larger than average hole-punch at the top to house the device’s 16MP front camera. Barring that though, the screen covers almost the entirety of the front surface.
Like many cool tech gadgets, the K92 runs on the Snapdragon 690 chipset, which offers a 2GHz octa-core processor and an Adreno 619L GPU. This assembly is assisted by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There’s a microSD card slot on the device as well, for additional storage.
As for the rear cameras, four of them have made their way into the LG K92. The first one is a 64MP unit with a regular wide lens, while the second one is a 5MP snapper with an ultra-wide angle lens. The other two shooters are 2MP sensors meant for macro and portrait shots.
Inside this smartphone is a 4,000mAh battery that’s supported by Quick Charge 4.0 for fast charging. The device comes with stereo speakers and also offers a headphone jack.

Ubisoft delays Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine
As if the 21-day delay for Cyberpunk 2077 wasn’t enough, the release dates of two new biggies – Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine – have been pushed forward now. Ubisoft made the announcement during an earnings call, where the company’s CFO Frédérick Duguet said that both the games can be expected to arrive in the first half of the fiscal year. That means we won’t see either game until April at the earliest. If you’ve been keeping up with the latest gadgets updates, you’ll already know that the PS5 and the Xbox Series X/S consoles are all set to be released in the coming days, which would have meant great news for the two games had they not been delayed.
Announced earlier this year with a grand and intriguing trailer, Far Cry 6 was set for a February 18, 2021 release. As for Rainbow Six Quarantine, it was announced last year and was primed for an early 2021 release. The delays seem to have occurred due to challenges being faced by their developers who are working from home, seeing the pandemic situation.
The latest gaming news says that Far Cry 6 follows in the footsteps of its predecessors, offering first-person shooter gameplay set amidst a politically charged environment. The trailer of the game revealed that Breaking Bad star Giancarlo Esposito will be starring in the game as well. Far Cry 6 will be an open world experience set on the fictional Caribbean island of Yara, which is inspired by Cuba. It has been described by the developers as the largest Far Cry playground yet. The game is all set to arrive on new-gen consoles, current-gen consoles and PC. In fact it will also playable on cloud-gaming services like Stadia and Amazon Luna.
As for Rainbow Six Quarantine, it’s a game that’s inspired from the Outbreak event that was made available for Rainbow Six Siege in 2018. It will be a three-player tactical co-op first-person shooter that will have teams of operators working and fighting together against the intensifying threat of a technological parasite. It was announced only for PC, PS4 and the Xbox One, and there’s still no official news on whether it will be playable on the PS5 or the Xbox Series X.

Upcoming Smartphones of 2020
Smartphones keep evolving, with changes taking place in the blink of an eye, leaving you with something new always around the corner. As soon as something catches your attention, another smartphone comes to blow it out of the water. This time around, we are looking at the cool tech gadgets that have not yet been released in the year 2020. They will be picks across all platforms and budgets that look like promising upcoming smartphones for this year.
Apple iPhone 12
The next phone on the list is the next Apple iPhone. Now that there have been three versions of the iPhone X design, the big question for fans is whether Apple will choose to carry it on or try out something new. Upcoming smartphones rumours suggest the iPhone 12 will have a design that is more reminiscent of the classic iPhone 4 with a flattened metal frame.
There might even be two different models, with 5.4 inch and 6.1 inch displays or even a rumor of a 6.7 inch iPhone 12 Pro Max packing more cameras, ram and a higher resolution display.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Apple has confirmed that the launch date will be slightly later in the year than usual, with signs pointing to an October release.
Google Pixel 5
The Google pixel 5 might make a significant departure from existing Pixel phones but design mock-ups signal a design that is very similar to the Pixel 4a. This time around, the Pixel 5 is expected to have a hole-punch selfie camera on the front to minimize space around the screen. While all the previous pixel models have had flagship level processors, the Pixel 5 is expected to have the upper mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chip. While less powerful, it should also be priced more reasonably. Also rumoured to be included are a 90 hz screen and wireless charging.
Moto Razr 2
An honourable mention goes out to Motorola, who are set to launch a new Razr device sometime soon. The phone waiting in the wings will offer 5G compatibility due to its Snapdragon 765G processor as well as a larger battery.
