Yeezus Tour: Pt.1 Why You had to be There
So last night, I caught Ye’s last U.S. show of the Yeezus Tour. The production itself was worth seeing even if you weren’t a super-fan. It was something of an enormous art installation; an architectural mountain and backdrop of it which spun out hues of red, blue, purple, and white, along with fire, fireworks, ballerinas/dancers, erm, people(?) and yes, Jesus.

Ye performed tracks off every album including, Blood on the Leaves, Homecoming, Niggas in Paris, Don’t Like, The Good Life, and of course, the ever so fitting show ending Bound2. Each set was curated to fit a different point in time (in his life, presumably) [Fighting, Rising, Falling, Searching, Finding].
The crowd’s energy never once waned even through the 10min rant which in all honestly was more of a sermon about remaining ignorant to hate, chasing your dreams & how the longevity of that type of journey can be so worth it in the end. I could be biased as this is my second time seeing Ye perform but despite the polarizing figure he’s come to be, The man is a performer. A genius one at that. Stay tuned for Pt.2 (pics/vids)!

5 things I learned from NYFW:
1. Who runs New York? Wang.
2. Streaking is sooooo 90s. Ugh, stop it!
3. Fashion has zero respect for Mother Nature. Realistically, Heels + Snow =No. Heel + Ice =HELL NO. But when it's Fashion Week, who gives a???
4. Monochrome and muted tones are the new black. As if you didn’t know. But in case you didn’t. It is… Just sayin.
5. After parties > Fashion shows… Just kidding!
