Through the Door of Time…

The internet is a tough place. I'm grateful to be born in the time that I was, but I feel like I often yearn for a time when everything wasn't so disconnected from reality. I try to detach from all the noise of social media, but it just feels inescapable sometimes.

This year has been so, so heavy. I've gotten the opportunity to tell a lot of amazing stories and I've done so in the midst of intense grief. Grieving loss in my own life, losses of those who have trusted me with their stories to tell, loss of faith in institutions and my understanding of the world. At the same time, I've also conquered fears-- fears of flying, fears of stagnation and failure, fears of my own mortality. At the end of it all, I have a greater appreciation for my own life and how I spend my time on this planet. I have a stronger conviction in my own work as a storyteller in a continuously darkening and dividing time. Lastly, I'm grateful to all of those who have put their faith in me to share a vision of their stories. It endlessly inspires me.
