i have often heard that root beer, both as a drink and as a flavor, is very usamerican specific and people from other countries do not like it.

There was only one Boy Wonder, maybe two at most.

Tim is not The Boy Wonder. Neither is Damian. Dick was, the first, the founder. Jason might be considered it, too. Not the others.

All four are Robin. (As is Steph, though not a Boy and therefore not part of the qualification discussion for Boy Wonder. She can be cool without being a boy.) All four are talented, intelligent, critical in how they work with and counterbalance Bruce.

But Dick was *wonder*. He was joy. He was the light to Batman’s shadow. He was Bruce’s hope for the city made incarnate. Jason, though a different flavor, shared the same base.

Jason, too, was joy and hope, for Bruce but also for Gotham herself. I sound like you; without this mask, I look like you, was what his presence said. I know who you know. I am one of you. And he and I are fighting for you, not against you. If Jason was not Wonder for Bruce, though he could be argued to be, he certainly was still for Gotham.

Tim came at a time of *need* rather than want. He was Batman’s leash, not his hope. Or, as I put it in a fic, his guardrail, to keep him from plummeting to his doom. He is, in many ways, too much like Bruce himself.

Damian, too, isn’t innately joyful. Like Tim, that largely isn’t his fault. But his role as Robin isn’t light-bright joy and hope and wonder for any Batman. In many ways, Dick still serves the role of Boy Wonder with him, coaxing his little brother into safety and softness and hope. In many ways, he never left the yellow cape behind.

Just remembered when I was a child I found a christian webpage arguing that hydrothermal tube worms support the existence of hell because of something in the bible about hell having demonic worms in it that eat your soul and I wrote a lengthy angry email about how tube worms can't be connected to evil because they are beautiful gentle beings who cannot hurt anything and just sway peacefully forever sustained by the vent itself, the most innocent creature there coupd ever be.

They never responded to me so obviously I hope they DIED. fucking bastards !!!! 😡😡😡

As someone who has worked in the queer community for a long time, you need to be careful of the people who stretch the reality of scarcity in our community to fit their agendas of making money off of our community.

A major sign of snake oil salesmen is someone saying they are not just the best, but the only option. This is made more believable in marginalized communities, where we are genuinely seeing a lack in resources, but a lack is not the same as an emptiness. As someone who studies queer history, let me say this: queer people (and other marginalized groups) have been fighting to provide for each other and their future for much longer than you'd expect.

There are resources. They aren't always spread equally or easily accessible, but there are more resources than some people want you to believe.

Don't let less get mistranslated into absence. Generation after generation of queer people have fought to make sure there was something for us. Do not let someone disrespect this work by claiming they are the first and only queer person to do something. If someone claims to be a first or only, fact check that. While firsts deserve celebration, we should be grateful to live in a world where they are more rare than they used to be.

So, Firefox new ToS force you to grant Mozilla access to all your data to use it in whatever way they want.

People are outraged.

Mozilla reaction is "oh we don't like that clause either but without it we couldn't legally give you Features¹, but we totally are not planning to do anything with that data "

Y'all, this is exhausting. Y'all, we have gone through this. Y'all, I want to burn down stuff I legally can't disclose.

¹ "Features" being, more than possible, local AI models that they want to include with Firefox

found a twitter tweet that was like "oh yeah content warning hatoful boyfriend has a lot of gore and violence" and every single person in the notes/retweets/qrts/whatever the fuck terms twitter has was going "WHAT THE FUCK IT HAS WHAT" and i find that hilarious because. large amounts of gore and violence is a tremendous understatement about the amount of stuff that goes down in hatoful boyfriend
