Summary: Nozue is a 39-year-old office worker. He is also decidedly stuck in a rut. Life has become mundane. His career is going nowhere fast, and he has never had thoughts about getting married. The grind of this mundane and grey way of life has taken its toll on him and depression is setting in. Another thorn in his side is Togawa, his 29-year-old office junior. Despite the fact that Togawa is the older man’s subordinate, he is cold and unpleasant with Nozue.

However, deep down, Togawa actually has a strong sense of respect for his senior – and even feels romantic attraction toward him. Fate intervenes when one day, they both end up in a pancake shop that is a hotspot for young, attractive women. They end up spending more time together at this unusual venue – and starting to enjoy one another’s company more and more. At first, Nozue is confused by Togawa’s sudden attempts to make him happy. Review: There’s a huge live-action BL wave going on and this is one of the very best in my opinion. Togawa is so deeply in puppy-love with Nozue and comes up with some cute shenanigans to spend more time with him. Nozue is even cuter though, to be honest.

Review: This story is sweet and comforting. The characters distinct and endearing. The world building is interesting and feels alive.

Submitter note: I really miss the Slash Pile from its Lifejournal days and have trouble finding more original fiction. Maybe we can breath some new life into it? I saw some AO3 stats and Original Works is on the rise! So here’s a recommendation I got on my dash by pure coincidence.

TSP has been around for 15ish years and some members have found new interests and others are dealing with more & more real life responsibilities as we've gotten older. However, that doesn't mean that no one's manning the boat.

Hi, I know it's been a while since this has been updated, but I was recently thinking about this original fic I read years ago. I do remembered scattered details. It starts out with this guy who ends up spying on a man who is the enemy of his twin sister (also maybe some type of god?). The ultimate point of their meeting is when the man realizes what's happening and the main character wakes up to being taken apart (like he's being cut open while awake) and supposedly that's a part of some

[FIC SEARCH] Hello! I read an original story years ago, I want to say somewhere in the range of 2011 - 2013. It was in first person. The protagonist was a bisexual male elf starting fantasy college. He was annoyed at having success with men at the college, because one of his main goals was to try dating/sleeping with women, which he hadn't had the chance to much before college. It was funny and bizarre, and I've been thinking about it lately. Thanks!

Let's hope someone out there knows this one, nonnie, because I think I may need this bisexual elven college student in my life too.

[FIC SEARCH] Hello! If you guys were still active but I have an original fic that I've been searching high and low for, havent been able to find it despite knowing the entire plot LOL. I'm pretty sure it was a long form fic that I read on AO3, like 20k+ words. The plot starts off with an old enemy abducting MC at gunpoint and I believe he put him in an electric shock collar in order to coerce MC to assassinate someone. In the process they manage to also save the mage students from the school.

Can anyone help a nonnie out?

This story has really blown me away, and I'm surprised it hasn't gotten more attention. I'm not great at articulating my thoughts, but if the tags don't bother you, then I definitely recommend.

Title: I have no idea. I think it was a short story. Summary: I remember that the court mage or sorcerer (I cant remember his exact title) always wanted to be a knight or wanted to push himself to be a knight for some reason so he becomes a squire.  No one knows that he’s really a powerful magic user and I dont remember exactly but I don’t think he was particularly well suited to being a squire or a knight.   He is treated pretty poorly.   Picked on by the squires.  I think he had feelings for one of the knights that was nice to him.  Eventually he is forced to use his magic to save others and he is successful but unfortunately that's the end of him being able to be a squire and he has to go back to his court sorcerer duties.  I remember that it does have a happy ending.  I think the nice knight and the sorcerer might get together in the end. Other details:  One other thing I remember is that the mage was pretty young but exceptionally powerful/talented which is why he was appointed the court sorcerer at such a young age.  I’m pretty sure he was still a teenager around the same age as the squires.  There was no hanky panky.  Maybe a kiss (if that). Read at: No idea.  I read it years and years ago.

[Fic Search] a very old original slash story about a drow elf and a chieftain

I'm looking for a super long original m/m story I read online probably over a decade ago. Don't remember the website but it was a private hosted one, I think - probably not livejournal, definitely not something like fictionpress. 

The two main characters were pulled from our world into more medieval magical one, assuming new forms. One was a half-drow elf redhead wizard (he's the older one, was the other guy's teacher on earth). The other was a sort of barbarian warlord or chieftain with dark hair and blue eyes, and some sort of a werewolf aspect (his name was something like carson or jason?). The wizard had a motorcycle he magicked into the other world. It's sort of implied that they're reincarnations of something. 

Other notable characters - a shaman who used to be a stripper on earth, a boy with very light blonde hair who turned out to be an ice dragon (named something like jolin?), and a dark ranger named Asher who served some sort of evil spider sorceress.  

The story starts when the two main characters meet again after many years - they haven't seen each other since they were pulled into the other world.

Does this ring a bell for anyone?

In search of a fic I started reading years and years ago. I dont remember much except the main character was dared to kiss a weird statue in the cemetery. Statue of course comes to life and magic chaos ensues. I remember lots of magical battles as well between the statues character and another magical person?

[Fic search] grumpy guy like the sunshiny/sassy guy

Title: ? Summary: I remember scant details, but here they are: a guy gets in trouble for doing something he shouldn't have and ends up captive with a group of guys.  He is later accepted as one of them or at least tolerated, I think.  I can't remember if it was reverse harem or just seemed to be heading in that direction.  There was definite heat between the main character guy and a very militaristic character who is extremely violent with him, but in a they-both-like-it kinda way. Other details: I think there was a supernatural element to the book, maybe shifters and vampires. Read at: Pretty sure I read it as an ebook on my kindle.
