This is all of the makeup I'll be using during the first month of 2017. Yep! Just this! These 12 items will be my entire makeup collection while I undergo an experiment of living with extreme minimalism. I made sure to have a fairly decent mix of items that I love and items that I want to use up. These 12 items are a tiny chunk of the 174 personal belongings I will be holding on to throughout the course of a month (don't worry, all of my other stuff is going to be stored away). The reason I'm doing this experiment is to challenge myself and learn more about me and my relationship to physical belongings. I've been slowly whittling down what I own because I've come to the realization that owning a lot of items I don't like or don't need messes with me, but I want to test myself and see what changes with my relationship with things over a month of living with only "essential" items. I'll be documenting the entire month over on my other YouTube channel, "The Bad Minimalist", and I'm really looking forward to how it will affect me.

Lip stains and me generally don't get along. I have naturally pigmented lips, I'm also a nervous lip rubber, and I'm a balm addict so any "long wearing stain" only ends up chillin' for an hour or two tops. I thought those crazy jelly tattoo packs from Korea would work, but the ones I had tried didn't perform much better than their western counterparts... until I met the I'NGA Kiss On The Lip Tattoo in Red Chu. This tint pack is different from the others I've tried in longevity (I can get about 3-4 hours of vibrant wear), color uniformity (only the very interior part of my lips has color variance), and also packaging. Most tint packs come in squeeze tubes with slanted applicators and those can be less than precise. The I'NGA one has a sleek, and solidly built black tube with a dip in applicator which helps to apply the stain where I want it and not all over my face. This tint also dries down the fastest out of all the ones I've tried making it more practical and better for busy folks. Thank you to 08L and I'NGA for sending me this to try out. Minimalism is something that I've adopted the older I've gotten. I've just figured out that having too many things create both physical AND mental clutter and frankly I'm tired of it. My daily purse/bag has been slowly shrinking over the past year and I now only carry a small crossbody with the essentials needed that day. This is a pretty typical spread for me: - Small crossbody; vintage late 70s/early 80s Chilean leather bag. Romo's brand. I really like this because it's rugged a.f., but not bulky - plus I love the silhouette. - Wallet/keys; I literally just have a small Rebecca Minkoff pouch with my ID, Debit card, and maybe some cash that has my house and car keys on it. - Blotting papers; They take up less space than a powder and brush AND they actually remove oil. Up&Up brand cuz ya gurl likes to save money. - Phone charger; This one is pretty rad. It has a phone cord attached to it already and it's super compact. - Unitasker balm; Glossier Coconut Balm Dotcom goes on everything. EVERYTHING - Daily lip color; sometimes I bring my lip products with me, sometimes I don't. It depends on if I tarted myself up beforehand. NARS Rikugien happened to be what I had on that day. - Phone; Doi.

I'm super excited to try out one of Glossier's new The Supers serums! I got Super Glow because my oily skin is prone to looking dull and I also get PIH (post inflammatory hyperpigmentation) even thinking about zits. I've only been using it a couple of days so I really can't speak for the effectiveness, but I can say that the packaging feels super high end and you get a LOT of product for only $28. This is by far the most watery serum I've tried, which has kind of thrown me off because I'm used to a more aqueous gel formula, but whateves. I'm really hoping this works for me because a good, cheap serum is hard to come by!

Today I'm hung over. Last night was a blur of laughs, drinks, ladies galore, and eating McDonald's on a curb at 2 in the morning. Would you be able to tell this by looking at my skin? Absolutely not. I have this night cream to thank for it. The Pore Zero Night Cream from SKINMISO is a very recent addition to my skincare repertoire, but after last night it's solidified it's place in routine. This cream, much like most night creams, is quite thick however it doesn't end up feeling heavy on the face. The scent is more herbal than stiflingly perfumed and luckily doesn't irritate my scent-sensitive skin. At this point, I can't speak the the effectiveness of its minimizing/pore tightening, spot fading, and wrinkle care claims, but it is very hydrating and repairing without leaving me feeling like that McDonald's Egg McMuffin sandwich I managed to choke down last night. #nightcream #antiaging #porecare #poresnomore #beautysecret #08L #prsample #skincare #bblogger #review
