This is similar to the color comics that are in the reading due to the fact that all of them are short. Even though they are short, the main ideas are still clearly expressed through using words to correlate with the images in each panel. An example is using all cap to express emotions such as anger, surprise, and shock.

This site (bilibili.tv) follows the rules of continuity and the grid. There is a nice flow of hierarchy that leads viewers’ eyes from top to bottom. There is a clear grid design where videos are organized into sections, rows, and sizes.

The image and the text works really well together, because the image of her reemphasis her as the speaker for this presentation. In addition, by making a thick border around her image makes a connection to a tv screen which is the focus of her presentation topic.

This is one of the logos I like in the car industry. First of all, this logo is symmetrical where there is a line in the middle as well to indicate this. Secondly, The circle shape of this logo both indicates the car’s wheels and the steering wheel. This logo is really comfortable to look at.

www.bilibili.tv
This is the logo for a video sharing website call bilibili. I like this design due to two reasons. The first reason is that the TV figure on the top of the words indicates the type of website this is. Another reason is the facial expression in the TV figure. This makes the logo easy to remember due its uniqueness and cuteness.

The lines is design to convey the shape of the person. The lines on the hair convey movement. The color and density of the lines allows the face to look more realistic and less flat. (The person in the image is Amy.)

Title: Moonlight Stroll
Artist: Michel Keck
Year: 2005
I really like the way she puts the face together where even though all of the pieces don’t usually goes together, but I can feel the sense of harmony. This harmony can be felt especially through the large eye on the right where the yellow lighting connects to the flower and butterfly.
I think one of the techniques she uses is the gathering of pieces from hard copy mediums such as magazines and posters and paste them together into this piece of art. If this is done electronically, then she uses cutting tools and layers them together to make this effect.

This image is altered by combining multiple images into one image. There is the background layer of the sky, the layer of boat, and the layer of the subjects. The reason I notice these layers is because the edges are too sharp and does not blend smoothly. In order to put all three layers together, changing of hue/saturation, masking and cutting, and dodging and burning are possibly being used.
