I don't have a lot to say. But you are a genuine and kind person, from the interactions we have had. You stand up for what's right, and you are strong as all hell. The movement needs men like you. I hope to coordinate stuff with you and your group one day. Don't know when I'll come your way, though. Question: what are some tell tale signs of a cop trying to infiltrate a protest/bloc, or one that's undercover in the organization?
I really look forward to meeting you some day, comrades together in arms against the scum. Bless your soul
The important things to look out for are their behaviour and their appearance. The job of an instigator at a protest is to trigger violence and crime and arrest any who follow, like shouting at cops and shoving them, stepping back, then arresting someone who also shoves. Their behaviour can be telling as fuck.
- When confronted its unlikely they’ll say clearly “I am not an undercover officer” as they have to try limit lying, most likely they’ll try to interrupt, ignore, and be silent, and obviously if they show a badge or threaten arrest then they’re an infi. If you suspect someone confront them, if they try to shrug you off they’re hiding something. See how they respond to the accusation, they will be used to talking like a copper and bullshitting around straight answers.
- Keep an eye for people moving in and out of police lines, infiltrators will be able to just walk through police behind them, and will do this when arresting someone. They stay close to the police lines often, because if they nab someone they’re close to their back up. If you see someone in casual wear standing around police vehicles keep an eye out for them, if you see them in a protest they’re an undi.
- On the same note watch who gets arrested, if you see people provoking police right up in their face in a violent way, or doing something they can get nicked for. If they’re the only one / one of a Few doing it and they’re not getting nicked, they might be trying to provoke actual protesters. To avoid falling into entrapment arrests, hold back before kicking off, wait half a minute and survey how people kicking off are behaving.
In the heat of a protest it can be a bit difficult to keep track of who does what, but police undercovers also tend to have similar looks or be similar types of people so theres also a few telling details to watch out for.
- They’re always fully grown decently built adults, mostly male. It isn’t gonna be teenagers or people in their early 20s its going to be people old enough to have had full police and undercover training + experience as an officer. It isn’t going to be someone unintimidating or squeamish, they’re going to look like an aggressive, assertive, and uncaring individual, like all cops. Definitely not people you’d expect to be part of the far left.
^^^ None of them are young, all of them look troublesome, all of them are undercover feds.
- However it can also be hard to spot them as they will have very bland and general clothing like many protesters, they tend to not have a backpack or bag, because they don’t need to carry anything or they leave it in the van. They won’t have anything incredibly unique, generic cheap mask, no flags, no megaphones or anything on their person.
Heres a really good video on undercover cops at the 2011 student protests, shows how they act and what they do. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJ5BM6NV1y8
When it comes to undercover feds at a protest you have the advantage that they won’t nick you for exposing them if their cover is blown they move somewhere else or blow it off. So you have the ability to confront and expose them, if you don’t attack them or get too close or overly violent and you’re around or holding cameras. Fucking call them out. If you catch one follow them, shout about them (not at them, their goal is to agitate), shout from behind them that they’re an undercover cop. If you keep blowing their cover it’ll be harder for them to instigate something, the quicker you clue everyone up the less likely anyone kicks off because of them. Thus less arrests.

what kind of direct action do you find meaningful and feasible for working class folks?
AEIOU: Agitate, educate, inoculate, organize, unionize.
When work pulls some bullshit like cutting benefits, denying raises, increasing or cutting hours, speeding up production, doing discriminatory practices, et cetera, mention to your co-workers how fucked up it is and how much it hurts the workers while benefiting the bosses.
Highlight the inherent antagonism and irreconcilable differences that underlie the relationship between workers and owners, to show them that the boss is the enemy. Link your particular situation to other situations throughout the world and history, like the struggles that gave us the 8-hour day and the minimum wage.
Now that you’ve started raising class consciousness, build class solidarity; that’s what “inoculate” means. Bosses will go to any length to stop workers from organizing; they’ll show everybody anti-union propaganda, penalize and fire the rabble-rousers, bring in million-dollar union-busting lawyers, and incentivize workers to snitch on each other. Drive home the point that the workers share a common interest that’s at odds with the boss’s interest, and that y'all have to stick together to achieve anything. Small things, like ride-sharing or workers buying each other lunch, can be singled out and expanded into the bigger thing, solidarity.
So now you’re working in what we call a “hot shop,” a workplace where the employees are starting to get wise to the contradictions and antagonisms of class society, and we get into the O and the U. From here, the only way to drive things forward is through action. Look up the following: Sick-in. Working to rule. Slowdown. Run on the boss. Sabotage. Solidarity strikes.

the original reason why people were making fun of “fandom moms” on this site wasnt because theyre misogynistic and hate women in their late 20s-30s its cuz on this site specifically, like this specific platform of blogging and socially interacting with people online, there has been set a precedent of older women quite literally preying on younger children under the guise of guiding and befriending them and using fandom to groom them sexually by sharing inappropriate content and rping with them. like it sucks that there are dumbasses who have warped this beyond repair for the sake of dumb jokes and women can and should be encouraged to pursue their interests without facing inane backlash but thats why people were wary of Fandom Moms for a good like. year on tumblr. thats it

Sometimes I wonder if native English speakers appreciate how much more comfortable the internet is for them than for the rest of the world
Like, you can go on tumblr and simply read stuff in your mother tongue? Amazing. Go on youtube and you don’t have to replay some sentences ten times to try to understand what they’re saying? Incredible. Look for practically anything on google and know that there will be a fuckton of results that you can read without having to spend half the time looking up words in a dictionary? Fascinating. Make a post or send an ask without panicking that you’ll make a silly mistake or that they won’t understand what you meant? Unbelievable.

a lot of people are talking about how it’s pointless to boycott Amazon during the strike bc Amazon has so many subsidiaries that it seems impossible to avoid them all for a week.
but the strike is about warehouse workers for Amazon.com specifically.
if you can avoid whole foods and audible etc. during the strike, go for it!! but the really essential piece is that you do not purchase anything from Amazon.com for the duration of the strike. it’s okay to be specific here.
it is better to do something than nothing, and in this case, no one is even expecting a boycott of all the subsidiaries – the part that will be most traceable to the strike will be the drop in purchases from Amazon.com anyway.
Do not visit Amazon.com until 17 July 2018 or until the strike ends, whichever happens last.

? she was a 10 yo something who just witnessed the murder of her adoptive parents (and who understood the others murders at the same time) and whose murderer literally put a gun in her hand and pressured her to shoot, what did you expect ? johan is a 21 yo serial killer who kills people to prove his nihilistic pov and who focuses very strongly on getting rid of every people she ever cared about. i agree that nina character is weak (in a narrative sense) and i dont especially like her, but you make it sounds like nina is at fault somewhere which is kind of...wrong, more so coz she was a child. personnaly i found the ‘pardon’ scene quiet nice, cause we know its not a cheap pardon and what reaching this decision cost her
(i know thats a funny shitpost but i just wanted to react ah)
nina: uhfhgjjhhh i guess i fucked up that one time i literally shot my twin brother…. how can i put this…. i uhh i forgive you for being so shootable lol
monster fans: goly shit….. holy fuck
