Livvy Ahtynwyb pours out at least a dozen mugs of cocoa, not knowing how many they'll have for the afterparty. Alaq'it Moks rummages for leftovers and begins putting food out by the cocoa, happy to be doing her primary job. Livvy Ahtynwyb: This is a super special recipe. I got it from... a friend I stayed with a while back. An Ishgardian. Iieha Beautemps: This tastes like one I had in Dragonhead a really long time ago. Fhiliht Merlhaemrwyn: Hm, but... what liquor goes with cocoa... Livvy Ahtynwyb: Ivaan. Livvy Ahtynwyb slams her palms down on the counter. Livvy Ahtynwyb: I thought we were friends, Ivaan. Ivaan Arkwright: We are. I was just... thinking. Livvy Ahtynwyb: And I was just kidding! I just needed to ask about your adorable friend! Livvy Ahtynwyb: WHO IS SHE?! Ivaan Arkwright: ...Rivienne? Ivaan Arkwright fails to understand Livvy Ahtynwyb. Livvy Ahtynwyb: Why have you never told me about her?! Ivaan Arkwright shrugs at Livvy Ahtynwyb. Livvy Ahtynwyb: And what is that shrug?! She's a beautiful lady! And a paladin! Fhiliht Merlhaemrwyn: Right, now y'ave t'set them up. It's th'rules. Y'do still care 'bout rules, d'ye not? Ivaan Arkwright: She's a sister to me. I used to work under her for the Adders, back in Gridania, until... well... Alaq'it Moks: Do you know how much food is needed for weddings?! There will be no setting-up on the budget right now!

Livvy Ahtynwyb: ...We did it. Sylvan Rain: Are you alright? Iieha Beautemps: N-No! It isn't done! H-His eyes--! Iieha Beautemps: We must separate them from his catalyst b-but... Estinien Wyrmblood is still breathing, still fighting Nidhogg for control of his own body. Iieha Beautemps swallows heavily as she approaches the dragoon her aether trying to push back at Nidhogg's. Iieha Beautemps: N-No! Stop the aether will hurt you! Estinien Wyrmblood: Get... back... Chakha Sagahl: The shade will linger as long as the eyes remain! Iieha Beautemps gently reaches out for the right eye incased on the dragoon's pauldron. Her eyes close and she says something quietly to him. It sounds soothing as she grips onto the embedded eye. Iieha Beautemps: Be still, please... Sylvan Rain is pushed back by a sudden surge of dark energy. She quickly sits up, breathing heavily. Sylvan Rain: It.. it remains! A'zaela, finish it! A'zaela Linh watches the scene, almost stunned. With the blue aura flaring around her, she isn't sure she can do it. She's certain she'll become a dragon's thrall within moments of touching the eyes. She is visible hesitation in her posture. Iieha Beautemps is humming something despite the tension rising in the air as she keeps her grip steady to wedge the eye out. Iieha Beautemps: Ong drah orh... non drah orh... sohm, sohm... sohm... Iieha Beautemps looks to A'zaela Linh and reaches to guide her hand. Iieha Beautemps: You'll be alright. Rivienne Marcellus circles the group with her blade out in the open. Rivienne Marcellus: Destroy these accursed things. A'zaela Linh runs towards the dragoon, reaching for the bloody eyes. The amount of raw aether hits her hard as she stares back at Iieha Beautemps, knowing what must be done. She reaches for the other eye and /pulls/ with all of the might of a dragoon. Aymeric de Borel: The eyes! Cast them into the abyss! Iieha Beautemps wrests free the eye at Estinien Wyrmblood's pauldron and throws it over the side of the Steps of Faith. A'zaela Linh is far too nervous to hold her for longer than needed; she tosses it without too much thought to it, as she really doesn't want to become a dragon. The rest of the horde retreats at once, back to the Churning Mists, albeit without their leader. Livvy Ahtynwyb: We've done it! A'zaela Linh cannot stop rubbing her hands on her pants. Like somehow, the residue from the eyes can ruin all of the work she's done and turn her. She's truly terrified. Ivaan Arkwright: We lived. Ivaan Arkwright looks about just to double check. Ivaan Arkwright: We did it... Iieha Beautemps looks up to the sky as she sees the surge of aether released in the form of Nidhogg. Iieha Beautemps: Sohm, Nidhogg...

Iieha Beautemps: Fight! Fight for Eorzea! Rivienne Marcellus readies herself for the charge and and takes a look behind her for but a moment before staring forth. Rivienne Marcellus: Send him to oblivion once and for all.

Ashelia Riot stands before the Gates of Judgment; her eyes are closed, and though she is steady on her feet, she looks to be deep in meditation; as she stands, seemingly oblivious to the world, Ishgard's horns of war begin to blare. The Horde approaches on the northern horizon. Livvy Ahtynwyb: ...This is it. Chakha Sagahl readies for battle. Sylvan Rain: For me, this is almost a relief.. If we win this we will finally be free of this wyrm. Nivelth Ajuyn is quiet, merely pulling out her tome and summoning her egi to float behind her in readiness. Ashelia Riot: ...Is everyone ready? Iieha Beautemps: ...As... As ready as I can be. Chakha Sagahl bounces on her feet, eager to get going. Fhiliht Merlhaemrwyn stamps her feet on the icy cobblestones. Fhiliht Merlhaemrwyn: I wish I shared 'er optimism, but, well, I got my voice an' I got my bow, so... Varaelian Nilhandril steps forward and puts a hand on Iieha's shoulder. Varaelian Nilhandril: You can do this. Ivaan Arkwright nudges Rivienne Marcellus with his elbow. Ivaan Arkwright: Stay away from any precipices, okay? Ivaan Arkwright’s face is stone, though Rivienne Marcellus knows him well enough to know it was an attempt at reassuring humor. Rivienne Marcellus slowly turns to Ivaan and chuckles. Rivienne Marcellus: Nay, I shalt not fall, not when theres blood to be spilt. Art thou ready then, Arkwright? Ivaan Arkwright: I am at your side. Alaq'it Moks: The faster we are done, the faster we are home for dinner! Think of dinner. Alaq'it Moks prays solemnly. Iieha Beautemps looks over her shoulder to Varaelian Nilhandril and tries to give a reassuring nod. Ashelia Riot: As soon as the first wave touches down, the vanguard will charge. Van, lead yours at the first sign of encroaching flyers. A'zaela Linh says nothing, a blank expression on her face. She's anxious to be sure, but she was ready to fight Nidhogg again. To truly finish him. Varaelian Nilhandril: Aye. Good luck to yours. I'll keep the skies clear as much as possible. Etone Greennote chews the tip of an feathered quill while awaiting further instructions, his grimoire's pages threatening to flip over in the wind. Sylvan Rain: One thing we must remember... Nidhogg is more powerful than when we first fought him. Of course, so are we, but even still... The wyrm's bloodlust is unmatched. Be careful. Livvy Ahtynwyb nods to Sylvan Rain. Rivienne Marcellus nods to Ivaan Arkwright. With a mighty roar, the first of Nidhogg's brood alight upon the Steps of Faith. Iieha Beautemps feels herself practically freeze at the sound. Nivelth Ajuyn prays solemnly. Sylvan Rain: It seems things have begun... Ashelia Riot brandishes Rampager. Ashelia Riot: FOR EORZEA!
Chakha Sagahl: We'll send this shade to the Lifestream where he belongs and be back in time for tea! I'm not scared! Ivaan Arkwright draws in a slow breath, and dons his helm, locking his visage away within. Nivelth Ajuyn moves to clasp her hands together in prayer, murmuring softly under her breath, and then joins the warcry. Chakha Sagahl lets out a cheer. Varaelian Nilhandril turns to face the few with him. Varaelian Nilhandril: Ready yourselves and try not to hit me. Thanks. Alaq'it Moks: You are tall enough that I will see you in the crowd, I think. Rivienne Marcellus: Let us see how many shalt fall... Fhiliht Merlhaemrwyn: D'ye think ever 'bout wearin' like, a tunic? A nice, red dragon shirt. It'd be ever so 'elpful. Alaq'it Moks fails to understand Fhiliht Merlhaemrwyn. Varaelian Nilhandril: Yes, because making myself so incredibly visible is always a good idea. Fhiliht Merlhaemrwyn: Well, I'll do my best, then, shirtless. Iieha Beautemps dons her globe given to her by Hraesvelgr, keeping a steady concentration with her aether... Sylvan Rain tilts her head from side to side, an audible crack heard. Sylvan Rain: Let's put this godsdamned thing down for good. Chakha Sagahl: I'll watch your back, Master Sylvan. Livvy Ahtynwyb charges at the Grand Steward's call, immediately finding a dragon to fend away from a hapless Ishgardian knight. Overhead, several flyers drop in behind the vanguard, one of them headed straight for Alaq'it. Alaq'it Moks: O-OH DEAR. Alaq’it Moks rolls aside as fast as she can, but scrapes an ankle on a flagstone. Varaelian Nilhandril: Go! Varaelian Nilhandril calls, seeing another wave coming right after. Without hesitation, he roars into the fight. His teeth bared, he swiftly gets into the air and grabs at the drake after it fails its mark. Alaq'it Moks looks shocked. In mere moments, the bridge is filled with Ishgardian and Dravanian infantry alike, and the skies are swarming with dragons. Sylvan Rain: ...Van is a... dragon? Now I am truly confused... Iieha Beautemps watches carefully her allies around her ready to mend wounds when she can. The roars of the dragons muddle her thoughts... Fhiliht Merlhaemrwyn quickly fires off a wide broadhead arrow at the passing dragon's tail, and shouts out a booming battle-song over the din of dragons. Etone Greennote quickly scratches quill to parchment, scrawling out some overly detailed arcanima. Tearing out the page, he crumples it and directs it toward Alaq'it's direction in hopes of shielding her from a future attack. Alaq'it Moks finds her self separated and somewhat surrounded, but moves toward Fhiliht Merlhaemrwyn's song. Ashelia Riot, true to her word, takes up the back of the vanguard, taking out several of the dragons that slip past the vanguard. Iieha Beautemps: Come close to me and let me enchant you with strength! Iieha Beautemps draws from a card drawn; the Balance. The aether around her glows an odd tint as she utilizes the dragon aether deep within her to enhance the card further. Fire engulfs her allies to give them more stamina to push forward. A'zaela Linh spares no pardon, her spear finding the weakest points of a dragon's armor whenever possible. During the fight her blue aura flames around her once more, and her jumps become more frequent and stronger. Rivienne Marcellus: Death awaits them. Rivienne Marcellus’s voice is soft, though her blade slices through the very current as she rushes straight towards one of the dragons tearing into the infrantry. The bit of enchantment gives her enough stamina to push through the ranks and make her way to her mark. Ivaan Arkwright jerks his halberd free of the spine of a dragon headed for Iieha Beautemps, his eyes never leaving the sky. Ivaan Arkwright: Mind yourself. Sylvan Rain releases a large burst of aether from open palms, forcing two larger wyrms onto their sides before quickly charging forward and with an aether-charged fist she plunges it through hide and scale. Varaelian Nilhandril opens his talons and caught another larger threat and swung around, breaking it upon the walls and continuing after another with more in pursuit. Nivelth Ajuyn fires spell after spell, infecting dragons with sickness and slowly chipping away at them as the others move to finish them off. Her egi goes to pull several down, using a miniature tornado to do so. Alaq'it Moks looks at Varaelian Nilhandril in disbelief. Alaq'it Moks: And he thought WE'D accidentally hit HIM! A shadow looms overhead, dark enough to blot out even the sun. Nidhogg descends, charging toward the first target in the air he sees - Varaelian Nilhandril. Chakha Sagahl stops at the presence of a great wyrm approaching. She dodges a spinning wyvern, pointedly stepping on a fallen Ishgardian banneret's face as she runs. Iieha Beautemps looks to Ivaan with a furrowed brow and draws a card, sending it his way. She enchants it further with her draconic aether, her body glowing a purple hue giving off a powered balance to the man. Iieha Beautemps: I'm fine! Fhiliht Merlhaemrwyn: Well, look, right, that seems t'be what 'e's 'ere about... ah, bilge. Sylvan Rain: Come, beasts! Can you not crush a single woman?! Sylvan Rain shouts as she catches the incoming swing of dragon claws and after grounding herself, shifts her weight and with a sudden burst of aetheric energy throws the creature to the side. Alaq'it Moks: You THINK? They all move so fast, how can you ev-OH NO YOU DO NOT. Livvy Ahtynwyb looks up from a sword thrust at the elder wyrm; her face is one of pure horror. Rivienne Marcellus takes pause for a moment and gives a glare to the heavens as it darkens around her. A frown touched her features and she sees the beast descend, toward another, she didn't make time to register who it was - even. Rivienne Marcellus: Watch the heavens! Varaelian Nilhandril's roar was drowned by the fury that escaped the elder wyrm as it descended the skies and knocked him from the skies and onto the bridge below. Iieha Beautemps's eyes widen when she hears a crash onto the bridge. Her body shakes when she sees who descends from the sky. She almost feels her feet wanting to move, to run. Not away but towards. Iieha Beautemps: Drahn y morn! Sylvan Rain stops to see Nidhogg descend from the sky. She tries to hide it but she can't help but smirk, muttering to herself. Sylvan Rain: Finally... Nivelth Ajuyn: Althyk protect me. Alaq'it Moks stops and sighs. Alaq’it Moks: We will not be home in time for dinner, I think. Etone Greennote nods wordlessly as he scribbles across his gaudy grimoire casting a spell of protection on Varaelian Nilhandril and the rest of his group, following up with a round of shielding magicked barriers. Etone Greennote: That'll 'elp a lil, innit? Alaq'it Moks nods to Etone Greennote. Nidhogg lands, his vantage such that he now stands between the Riskbreaker vanguard and the support. Ivaan Arkwright found himself staring up in awe at the black shape swooping in from the north. It was bigger than he thought. Taking up a defensive posture he stood at the ready, constantly adjusting his aim to launch himself at the wyrm as soon as an opening presented itself. Iieha Beautemps: Nidhogg please, I beg of you! Stop this! Iieha Beautemps moves forward. Livvy Ahtynwyb shields an Ishgardian officer - a very tall Hyuran woman?! - as rubble flies everywhere at the wyrm's descent. Alaq'it Moks: THEY ARE-- Dusk Mother's breath, they are separated from us. Nidhogg simply roars in Iieha's direction; he charges straight for her, lashing his tail out behind so as to knock over all at his flanks. Varaelian Nilhandril shakes his head and pushes himself up and rushes forward, grabbing at him to hold him back as much as he could. Sylvan Rain: Do not waste your breath on this hopeless creature, Iieha. A petty beast that has gone mad in his bloodlust! Sylvan Rain steps forward, pointing a finger directly at Nidhogg. Some might thing her mad for challenging the wyrm in such a way, but Sylvan had never been more ready to destroy this damned thing. Rivienne Marcellus narrows her gaze when she watches Varaelian Nilhandril fall, and a growl emits from her throat, a guttural sound. She looks to the blood of her blade and then runs to one of the few surviving soldiers, pulling them back behind her, she pushes a few to the ground to avoid the violent lash. Alaq'it Moks scans the skies for Varaelian Nilhandril but cannot pick him from all the things being knocked about in the encroaching darkness. Iieha Beautemps shouts as the aether surges around her. Iieha Beautemps: Don't...don't say that! Don't say that! Iieha Beautemps feels her body tensing up as Nidhogg has drawn closer. Ashelia Riot is ready to charge the wyrm from behind, despite knowing what is at stake if she does. Suddenly, another dragon approaches, one just as large as Nidhogg. Fhiliht Merlhaemrwyn two-steps a little over to the right. Livvy Ahtynwyb: That's... Iieha Beautemps: H-Hraesvelgr, Hraesvelgr! Ah... you're here---! Ivaan Arkwright had been a breath from launching once more, but the second roar of the approaching Hraesvalgr halted him. Hraesvelgr and his kin descend at last, and the two wyrms of the first brood have their standoff. Though they speak in their own ancient tongue, their words ring clearly in the minds of all in the vicinity. Chakha Sagahl: Such incredible power... Fhiliht Merlhaemrwyn: Such incredible volume. Now angered, the wyrms begin a duel in midair. Iieha Beautemps draws a card as she listens to their words. The Bole is drawn and with her ancient aether she enchants it and uses it on Vidofnir and Vedrfolnir. Iieha Beautemps: Fight with your might and protect those in need!! Varaelian Nilhandril lets go as he is swiped away and slinks off the cliff and back into the sky and land safely away to let his wounds rest for a moment. Sylvan Rain: Hmm.. Perhaps the words I exchanged with Hraesvelgr held some weight after all... A'zaela Linh: I'd say we have Iieha to thank. Iieha Beautemps: Hraesvelgr please---! Please keep fighting! Please! I believe in you! Iieha Beautemps tries to further channel up as much as her aether as she can. It's almost as if a low roar is heard from her surging aether. Rivienne Marcellus helps up the few that were not wholly injured and keeps her eyes to the skies as the battle takes flight above. She gives them reassuring nods before taking her blade anew and turning her attention to the path ahead while the shouting continues. Etone Greennote continues to feverishly scribble across the pages of his grimoire, ripping and crumbling a seemingly infinate number of pages into the aether in an attempt to shield and heal his charges. The redhead's Eos fairy, Greenbean, assists with spot healing as well. The dragons' fray seems endless, more so for its viciousness. Aether of great magnitude and power swirls around the duo as they fight, encircling them completely until they are obscured from view... At last, a single dragon form falls from the heavens, its wing clearly broken. It is Hraesvelgr. Iieha Beautemps lets her globe fall to the ground as her hands cover her mouth in shock. She can feel her entire frame shake. Iieha Beautemps: N...No... no... No... Iieha Beautemps’s feet tell her to move and she tries her damned best, sprinting off to reach for him. Sylvan Rain: Iieha! Be careful! Sylvan Rain runs to her side, making sure she isn't flanked by other dragons. A'zaela Linh: Iieha--! A'zaela Linh immediately sprints after the young woman, fending off what dragons she can on her way. Varaelian Nilhandril: Iieha! Stay back! Nivelth Ajuyn focuses more on destroying the rest of the dragons that are headed for the city, the sickness consuming the horde, and then re-focuses on Nidhogg. Nivelth Ajuyn: Well. Looks like our cavalry died. Iieha Beautemps's tears well in her eyes as she thinks that the dragon has been slain... Ivaan Arkwright: Sylvan, CATCH! Ivaan Arkwright scoops up the discarded globe and hurls it to the Roegadyn, not wishing the young woman to be unarmed. Fhiliht Merlhaemrwyn: Don't get separated! They'll drive a wedge atween us! Sylvan Rain turns, catching the globe and lets it levitate in her hand as she hands it off to Iieha Beautemps. Sylvan Rain: Focus! We must see this through... Iieha Beautemps: No---! I have to save him, I-I have to I have to!!! A'zaela Linh: I'll help her. Stay with the others, Sylvan, please. Rivienne Marcellus motions to her men to flank the dragons to try and give passage to those rushing forth; golden eyes are narrowed as she moved along with them, cutting down the remnants that stood in their path. Nidhogg lands. Nidhogg: Thou art weak, Hraesvelgr - a slithering wyrm who fawneth on the vermin who should rightly be his prey. For a thousand years I have fought without cease - and thou didst think to prevail against me! Ivaan Arkwright does his best to advance in the general direction of the fallen wyrm, but is constantly stopped by more foes in his way. Nivelth Ajuyn runs up next to Ivaan, spreading Bios and Miasmas in her wake, then launches another wave at the ones in front of the dragoon, weakening them severely. Sylvan Rain: Hraesvelgr will be alright, but we must stop Nidhogg lest this destruction continues. Sylvan Rain dashes past Rivienne Marcellus, looking to her briefly with a nod. Her voice erupts into a roar and she intercepts a larger wyrm that was heading in the direction of the others. She releases the power of the Forbidden Chakra and her fist collides with its face causing it to fall on it's side. Sylvan Rain: Rivienne! Finish it! Fhiliht Merlhaemrwyn points at the dragons, helpfully, and remembers to shoot at some of them, but the smaller ones this time, having reasoned that firing even a Roegadyn-sized arrow at Nidhogg might as well be flicking sticks. Iieha Beautemps finally makes her way to the fallen wyrm and her hands touch the mangled wing. The blood stains her hands and her body shakes. She's trying to use the aether around her to heal but tears overcome her and her focus is lost. Iieha Beautemps: Hraesvelgr please... please don't die. I don't want to lose you... Iieha Beautemps’s aether whips widely as finally, the wyrm speaks to her in ancient tongue. Hraesvelgr: Sohr dran hern. Alaq'it Moks heads forward to attempt stabbing smaller dragons where Fhiliht Merlhaemrwyn has shot them. Livvy Ahtynwyb fends off an entire pack of dragons - a dozen or more - from reaching the fallen Hraesvelgr and the girl beside him. Ivaan Arkwright lashes out, the serrated blade of his halberd crashing through the thin neck of the wyvern that had been harrying him, a gout of dark blood splashing across his armor. Rivienne Marcellus sees Sylvan and the company push from the corner of her eye. At her attack, the maiden rushes and bashes the side of the face with her shield, only for steel to rip through from underneath it and pierce the throat. Rivienne Marcellus: More! Bring me another! Iieha Beautemps presses her face into the feathers of Hraesvelgr's face. Iieha Beautemps: I don't want you to die... I don't want us to give up, but... what can we do? Iieha Beautemps feels herself weep harder as the dragon bares his teeth to her. Hraesvelgr: To give up? I lend my strength and you would shed tears? Hraesvelgr grunts low in his throat as he urges her to pull away. In that moment his eyes open, but there is a hole in one of them. Iieha Beautemps, being ushered back, takes notice. Did Nidhogg take his eye?! Sylvan Rain: Another, you say?! Sylvan Rain is perhaps a bit too excited for this, but she obliges Rivienne Marcellus by propelling herself to the nearest dragon and in a single blow to the knee, dislocates the joint. Sylvan Rain: One more! A'zaela Linh rushes to Iieha Beautemps's side after finishing a battle with another of Nidhogg's brood. She shifts her lance to one hand so that it is still at the ready, but she places her other on the girl's back. She knows not what to say that could possibly quell her sorrow, but she knows she must do something to help. Hraesvelgr: To challenge my brood brother, take my full strength. Use it. Do not let it go to waste. Iieha Beautemps’s hands reach out to the massive eye offered to her. Hraesvelgr: I shall rest and you shall fight. Iieha Beautemps holds it in hand, the aether practically bleeding from it. Livvy Ahtynwyb looks over her shoulder at Iieha Beautemps... and stares in awe at the thing in the girl's hands. Ashelia Riot: An eye! A'zaela Linh sees this as well, her eyes widening. Her first urge is to run away from the bloody thing, yet...she does not. Iieha Beautemps: The aether bleeding from it... it's not like Nidhogg's. It's different. Iieha Beautemps looks to the resting Hraesvelgr and then to A'zaela Linh. Iieha Beautemps: I... have to use this for us. A'zaela Linh would in any other circumstance have shaken her head and run, but finds that she can't entirely say no. She trusts Iieha Beautemps, but she has no plans on putting her hands on the eye herself. Ashelia Riot: All diversionary units! Keep the Horde with us! The others must be allowed to fight the wyrm uninterrupted! Sylvan Rain's attention is stolen by the dragon eye and she calls out to the other Riskbreakers. Sylvan Rain: Do not let Nidhogg obtain the Eye! Protect Iieha! Fhiliht Merlhaemrwyn pushes forward to fire on the lesser drakes circling their master. Fhiliht Merlhaemrwyn: Is that, uh.... legal?! I mean, allowed? I mean, with th'eyeball. Ashelia Riot: CUT THEM OFF! KEEP THE HORDE FROM THE EYE! Alaq'it Moks fumbles through her pack; the fray cannot be allowed to come forward. Alaq’it Moks runs forward with... kupo nuts?! Alaq'it Moks: YOU WILL ALL BEHAVE YOURSELVES! Alaq'it Moks launches the nuts toward the Horde and hides. The kupo nuts EXPLODE with an enormous bang and the Steps of Faith crumble. An entire section, the one containing Nidhogg and the vanguard, separates from the rest of the bridge. Iieha Beautemps holds the eye and feels the bridge begin to break. Iieha Beautemps: W-What's happening?! Alaq'it Moks: They are... they are cut off now, well and truly. We must hold our own here. The aether from the eye dispels, spreading its power to each of the eight fighters facing Nidhogg’s shade. Livvy Ahtynwyb has partaken of such power before, and it is easier now that she has a team she fully trusts. A'zaela Linh: ...Kupo nuts. Iieha Beautemps channels her own aether around her and the eye. There is a vague shape of a massive dragon around it that ushers a roar as the eye disappears into aether and spreads among all of those present on the bridge. Ivaan Arkwright had been on the other side of the explosion, but with a simple jump the obstacle was cleared, the dragoon rejoined with the party. Sylvan Rain: Everyone together! It is time we ended this! Rivienne Marcellus runs down the back of the dragon and points her blade forward, holding her shield up, and grounding herself, from any incoming debris coming her way. Ashelia Riot: TWELVE BE WITH YOU!

.a call to arms
Tumblr media
Discontent spreads like wildfire and the ashen remains are made of doubt. These men and women are standing on the very edge of change but the future is choking on the smoke of these flames fanned by uncertainty. Rivienne could see it etched across their faces, the worries that are drawn deep into their skin around their eyes and indenting their frowns. Lanceloux knew that the appearance of Nidhogg rattled the rage from the denizens gathered in Falcon’s Nest, though they knew what this would harbor in, a battle to end all of these skirmishes.
A battle to burn Ishgard down to its very foundations and leave nothing but charred bone and smote walls in its place.
Here, in the field of snow, they gathered together to speak of their plans, on their thoughts in regards to defeating the dreadful wyrm, but hope was a dim light in their eyes, and hardly pierced the gloom of the night enveloping them.

Ashelia Riot is standing perilously close to a thousand-fulm drop, overlooking the city ramparts. Varaelian Nilhandril glances around to the ruinous structures. Varaelian Nilhandril: I wouldn't expect this city to survive another direct assault. Ashelia Riot: Nor would I. Certainly not one of the might the Ishgardians expect. Rivienne Marcellus speaks quietly as she ventures down the stone path. Rivienne Marcellus: Yet she still stands, for the time being.
Varaelian Nilhandril looks startled for a moment and turns to the dark-skinned maid nearby. Nivelth Ajuyn looks around, wincing at the sight of people on the ground. Nivelth Ajuyn: Nidhogg and his brood are going to strike again, aren't they? Rivienne Marcellus gives a bow in greeting and interrupts them no longer, yet a smile touched her lips, one painted with weariness. Varaelian Nilhandril: Had I known you would be here I would have brought flowers. Ashelia Riot: Would that there were time for that. Sylvan Rain: Forgive me for being late... Sylvan Rain arrives, looking from person to person at the group that would be fighting Nidhogg. Ashelia Riot: Ivaan is on patrol in the Brume, Ahtyn in the Pillars. Iieha Beautemps is off away from the group in the distance, focused on what's beyond Ishgard's landscape. Sylvan Rain: Shall we find someplace warmer to discuss? Ashelia Riot hesitates, but shakes her head; even as nightfall approaches, she wants to conduct the necessary plans as close to the place of attack as possible. Sylvan Rain quirks a brow but she realizes what Ashelia Riot has in mind. Sylvan Rain: You want to survey the battlefield, then? Ashelia Riot: I do. Though I think it best we are all acquainted first. And that we all know what is at stake. I don't believe the Parivir and the Northern Sky have yet had the opportunity to share notes. Nivelth Ajuyn: I take it this developed far sooner than any one of us thought Ashelia Riot: Iieha. Iieha Beautemps finally breaks from her daze at whatever she may have been looking into the distance of or perhaps what she heard. Iieha Beautemps: A...Ah, yes? Ashelia Riot gently beckons her toward the rest of the group. Ashelia Riot: Would you be so kind as to share your findings in the Churning Mists? Iieha Beautemps: Oh, sure. Iieha Beautemps ends up shying behind Ashelia Riot among the group with faces she didn't know very well. Iieha Beautemps: ...Where do I begin though? Ashelia Riot: ...Perhaps you can start, Zaela. A'zaela Linh glances around at the group before pressing her lips together. A'zaela Linh: I... W-Well, simply put, we spoke to Hraesvelgr. We've an ally in him, I assume. Ashelia Riot: His assistance will be crucial. But so too will we need to be vigilant. Both teams have seen him in the flesh. Nidhogg will be no simple foe to defeat. Iieha Beautemps finally reaches to grab at the back of Ashelia Riot's armor and press her forehead against it. Iieha Beautemps: No, he won't but I'm... terrified of us facing him. Sylvan Rain: Oh, now Hraesvelgr is playing along... Iieha Beautemps: He's helping because I guess I cried enough to him... Nivelth Ajuyn crosses her arms at the mention of Nidhogg, remembering viscerally the feeling of the pure rage pouring out of the shade. Nivelth Ajuyn: I'm not exactly looking forward to this, but... it needs to be done. Varaelian Nilhandril: Funny how fickle he is, but in light of his help, it does raise our chances of survival all the more. Ashelia Riot: Not so. You battled him, did you not? He must have seen something of merit. A'zaela Linh is cursing herself for not wearing a proper jacket. Iieha Beautemps: I don't know... I still have my doubts that he could have been humoring me... Sylvan Rain: In any case, we'll be the ones doing most of the fighting I imagine... Ashelia Riot: There's no time to consider such things now. What matters is that he'll help us. Rivienne Marcellus masks any emotion across her visage and turns her attention away. Rivienne Marcellus: If he is willing to aid this land in its hardship and toil, then perhaps these denizens may see the coming of a new dawn. Though I knoweth not many a scaleskin that wouldst come to our aid, I place trust in thine accord with them. Ashelia Riot shivers in the cold wind and begins to pace, inadvertently revealing Iieha Beautemps's cover. Ashelia Riot: Lady Marcellus. Have you decided whether or not your troops will be participating in the upcoming battle? Iieha Beautemps decides to remain quiet to listen to the conversations with her eyes to the ground. Rivienne Marcellus: We hath no choice, we live and die by our blades, they shalt sing for those who can not defend themselves against this menace. Rivienne Marcellus's gaze remains aglow beneath the veil of her lashes as she turns to Ashelia Riot and takes notice of Iieha Beautemps Rivienne Marcellus: And who is she? Ashelia Riot: Iieha Bowtem. Ashelia Riot is still unable to pronounce Ishgardian names for the life of her. Ashelia Riot: A member of the Parivir, and an ally of Hraesvelgr's brood. Nivelth Ajuyn looks over at Iieha Beautemps, head tilting to the side as she examines the new member. Iieha Beautemps only gives a slight gesture of a wave, seeing as too many eyes are looking on her. Rivienne Marcellus: An ally? I knew not that mortal men and women were taken in kind already by those of Hraesvelgr's... Rivienne Marcellus gives a slight cant of her head to Ashelia Riot. Rivienne Marcellus: Very well. I am assuming thou art assisting as well? Ashelia Riot shoots the Elezen woman a blank look. Ashelia Riot: I mean for ours to lead the vanguard. Sylvan Rain ignores most of the other conversation going on, as she's more focused on the coming battle. Sylvan Rain: What do you want me to do when the fighting starts? Ashelia Riot: Prioritize taking down the biggest of Nidhogg's champions first. Without them, their power of intimidation will be sorely lacking. Sylvan Rain: My favorite! I probably shouldn't... be this excited. Ashelia Riot laughs at Sylvan Rain. Ashelia Riot: Be as excited as you want. Ashelia Riot: Van. Am I to assume that you will be harrying the rest of Nidhogg's brood from the air? Nivelth Ajuyn: looks to the man beside her, blinking at his closeness, and takes a step to the side. Varaelian Nilhandril: I should be able to keep them at bay, so long as you can keep the Ishgardians from shooting at me as well. Ashelia Riot: Fortunately, your lovely plumage is distinctive. I shall pass on a word to them. Varaelian Nilhandril: Ah ha. Ah ha. I'd like to keep my feathers where they are. But yes, I can handle them. Ashelia Riot: I will hold up the rear of the van, myself. I trust you'll look out for everyone on the front lines. Sylvan Rain: Of course. No one will die on my watch, rest assured. Ashelia Riot nods to Sylvan Rain. Ashelia Riot: Zaela. A'zaela Linh: Ashelia. Ashelia Riot: ...Put the Ishgardians to shame with their own techniques. Sylvan Rain laughs at Ashelia Riot. A'zaela Linh gives a smile, but it doesn't quite reach her eyes. A'zaela Linh: I shall try my best. Nivelth Ajuyn nods to A'zaela Linh. Nivelth Ajuyn: You'll do well. Ashelia Riot: I have the utmost faith in you. Ashelia Riot: Nive. Have you any experience healing? Nivelth Ajuyn: I... do. To a degree. My mother left me a star globe, and I've used it before, but it's not in the best conditon for this fight. Ashelia Riot: Hm. Then in that case, I would have you carry an array of phoenix downs. Should you see a comrade in distress, use them. Nivelth Ajuyn: Of course. Ashelia Riot: Command your men however you wish, Lady Marcellus. But know that there will be strong and capable fighters at the van. Do not needlessly risk the lives of your own. Rivienne Marcellus: These men hath vowed to seek the halls of Halone, though it dost not hath to be so. I confess, even I prepared myself to see mine blade slip from my grasp one last time. I shalt build strength from such words, I was witness to the strength of thy people, after all. Ashelia Riot: Are we all at an understanding, then? Nivelth Ajuyn: I believe so. Ashelia Riot: There will be no room for error on the Steps of Faith tomorrow. Sylvan Rain: Ishgard may be our final resting place. Sylvan Rain smirks, knowing Ashelia Riot would hate this. Sylvan Rain: All the more motivation to live, right? Ashelia Riot makes a straight face at Sylvan Rain. Varaelian Nilhandril: Like hells it will be. I'd rather not die in the great gods-forsaken frozen north. Ashelia Riot: You, at least, would be in Abalathia. Sylvan Rain: Though we may be close I do not want to die here... Ashelia Riot: If you die here, I'll throw your ashes into a volcano myself. Iieha Beautemps: Ashe. What am I supposed to do then? Ashelia Riot: You'll be with Ahtynwyb. Iieha Beautemps: I'm sorry but I don't understand why I'm here with you all...I can't even do anything. Varaelian Nilhandril: Enough. If you can face down one celestial dragon you can face down a second. Ashelia Riot: Unless I'm mistaken, you're the only healer among us. Would you have us plunge into a battle against Nidhogg himself without any aid? Iieha Beautemps: I didn't even DO anything that time! YOU all did when I was there! I only brought you to the place! Varaelian Nilhandril: Did you not stand before Hraesvlgr?! Sylvan Rain: So then... will you stand by and do nothing? Iieha Beautemps: Ashe please... please understand that I am not confident in healing this. I... don't know if I can. Ashelia Riot: If you healed Vedrfolnir against Darkscale, you can heal us. Ashelia Riot smiles at Iieha Beautemps. Rivienne Marcellus: This is the possible worst time for one to lose faith in themselves, see to it that it is rebuilt soon. Find power within thyself, or else see thy companions fall knowing that thou had the ability to support them when it was needed most. Iieha Beautemps wraps her arms around herself and lowers her head. Iieha Beautemps: Because of how I helped everyone. I'm scared, I've been scared of- Sylvan Rain: Fear will keep you alert, and in turn, keep you alive. We have all been scared on the battlefield before, but we must will ourselves to do our best to help those that are in need, even if we are scared. Of course.. we won't force you onto the battlefield. We'll do the best we can. Ashelia Riot: Agreed. Varaelian Nilhandril: I'm not sure where your confidence went, but please find it and tell it to return from holiday. Nivelth Ajuyn: Don't be rude. Fear is natural, Ser Too-Tall. Iieha Beautemps shakes her head. Iieha Beautemps: It's different. When... ka ehk morn dran kin... Ashelia Riot only barely suppresses a noise of confusion at the dragonspeak. Sylvan Rain shrugs at Ashelia Riot. Varaelian Nilhandril: Yes. And I've been killing them for longer than this war has been going on. And nothing makes it easier, but for us and every person here, you must either face this or run from it. Rivienne Marcellus: ...Either we fight, or we die. If this fear consumes thee, then Nidhogg's fires shalt as well. Iieha Beautemps: Even now from a distance I can hear his song and it scares me. I want to be strong for us but this is the greatest trial I have ever faced and I'm trying to not be scared. I'm sorry, it's very difficult for me to put into words how I feel... Sylvan Rain: His call... Does it almost will you to follow him? Iieha Beautemps: It has more times than I could count... Sylvan Rain: So it is as if you are going against a natural instinct... Sylvan Rain gazes upon Iieha Beautemps in deep reflection. Varaelian Nilhandril: The song of the Dravanians can be deafening, but rise above it and sing your own. Iieha Beautemps: Even right now it's deafening. I've never heard it loud as this before and it muddles my thoughts... Sylvan Rain: If we defeat Nidhogg, we silence it, do we not? Let us at least free you of that. Ashelia Riot: There is truth in that. And should you doubt yourself along the way, you will have no end of allies to set you to rights. Varaelian Nilhandril sighs and puts a hand on her head. Varaelian Nilhandril: It's alright to be afraid. We are all afraid in some way. I can hear it and them coming all the same and I am without my armor and as vulnerable as you. Iieha Beautemps latches herself onto Varaelian Nilhandril rather tightly. Iieha Beautemps: I do believe in all of you... Varaelian Nilhandril holds her gently, smiling. Varaelian Nilhandril: They believe in you too, little one. Ashelia Riot: In that event... The High Seraph is docked at the airship hangars. You may spend the night there, should you not wish to pay for a cold room and average food at the Forgotten Knight. Prepare yourselves for whatever tomorrow may bring. Iieha Beautemps: I'll sleep this off and I'll do my best for you all then, I promise... Ashelia Riot: Call me if there are any problems. Rivienne Marcellus turns away abruptly, a hand against her elongated ear; she glances past her shoulder and softens her gaze to the group before departing. Rivienne Marcellus: I go to drink wine, to bathe in warmth, and find rest before this battle. Sylvan Rain: ...Are you not cold? A'zaela Linh: ...Very. I'll have sorted out my armor situation by the battle, worry not. Sylvan Rain: Be sure you do not catch cold before the battle. Sylvan Rain smiles at A'zaela Linh. Livvy Ahtynwyb returns from guard duty. Livvy Ahtynwyb: The Pillars are all clear. A'zaela Linh: Livvy! Sylvan Rain: I suppose all that's left is waiting for the order to move out.. Sylvan Rain shrugs at Livvy Ahtynwyb. Nivelth Ajuyn: Ah, Ahtyn. How is everything? Livvy Ahtynwyb: That could be for a while longer. I didn't see a single trace of dragons on the horizon. Iieha Beautemps: That's because they're still grouping up... Livvy Ahtynwyb: I'd believe it. Sylvan Rain stretches next to Livvy Ahtynwyb. Sylvan Rain: I just want to fight this damned thing already. Livvy Ahtynwyb rolls out her shoulders, a bit stiff from standing in the cold for hours on end. Varaelian Nilhandril: Better to bring the full army than file in one by one. Iieha Beautemps looks over to her tall dragon friend and the group. Iieha Beautemps: Since I'm here I'm going to head to my home in the pillars before tomorrow. Might help me calm some more... Livvy Ahtynwyb: That might be a good idea. Iieha Beautemps: I'll be sure to meet with you all soon, I promise. Livvy Ahtynwyb gazes upon Sylvan Rain in deep reflection. A'zaela Linh: Good luck, Iieha! Livvy Ahtynwyb: Night! Livvy Ahtynwyb: ...I'm guessing we're going to be at the vanguard? Sylvan Rain: I'll be on the front line, of course! Ashelia wants me doing what I can against the larger beasts. Livvy Ahtynwyb: I'll stick with you, if that's okay. Livvy Ahtynwyb beams with delight at Sylvan Rain. Sylvan Rain nods to Livvy Ahtynwyb. Sylvan Rain: Of course. Livvy Ahtynwyb: Hell, where are you staying tonight? I'd be willing to get prepped with you. All your crazy morning exercises and crap. Sylvan Rain: Wouldn't want you to drop before the fighting even begins.. Are you sure? Livvy Ahtynwyb: Pretty sure, yeah! Varaelian Nilhandril rubs his chin in thought, looks around the ramparts Varaelian Nilhandril: I'll go scouting around and rest later. A'zaela Linh: I'll go rest on the High Seraph. Livvy Ahtynwyb: Do sleep at some point! It's going to be freezing tonight. Varaelian Nilhandril: Don't I know it? This place is the worst. Sylvan Rain: Good! We can join the others on the Seraph. There's plenty of room there if it'll just be the two of us. Livvy Ahtynwyb nods to Sylvan Rain. Livvy Ahtynwyb: I'd be ready to go back, then. Though we can stop in the Crozier for some decent food. Sylvan Rain: Yes, please. I haven't eaten... Livvy Ahtynwyb: We'll meet you all back at the airship!

Hraesvelgr: Very well. I shall trust in the seed of man one last time. By your deeds shall the flickering hope that lingereth yet within my heart be kindled anew... or extinguished forever.

Hraesvelgr: Nidhogg will spare thee no clemency. And thus neither must I. Livvy Ahtynwyb: Well. This is it. Iieha Beautemps feels herself almost stuck in the stone. Iieha Beautemps: I...I can't. Alaq'it Moks: Oh yes you can! Iieha Beautemps: I'm...I'm really scared to... Alaq'it Moks: You stood in front of him when GROWLING. You will be fine here, yes, this is just fighting. Iieha Beautemps: B-But he is a great wyrm! I...I  could not match his strength... I don't... I don't fight like you guys. Alaq'it Moks: I do not think he means to kill us, really. He could have done so already. It is some kind of test, and if we stop now, he will surely not help. Livvy Ahtynwyb: She's right. Besides, you've come with us this far. A'zaela Linh: Perhaps not alone. But together... Iieha, he is testing you knowing full well you will pass. If we did not believe in you - if he did not have some sort of faith in you - we would not be here. Alaq'it Moks: Besides! Miss Livvy is the shiniest, she will be the first target. Livvy Ahtynwyb: Right! Iieha Beautemps inhales sharply and nods. Iieha Beautemps: This is the scariest thing I've done and... I'm trusting all of you. Alaq'it Moks: Fighting is not so scary as talking. You will see. Talking is terrifying. Livvy Ahtynwyb: Whatever happens... I bet you've made Ratatoskr proud. A'zaela Linh: ...Agreed.

Iieha Beautemps: This place... Livvy Ahtynwyb: ...Is this her? Iieha Beautemps stares down at the emblem that is on the ground, hearing Livvy Ahtynwyb but she too overcome with emotion to respond. Livvy Ahtynwyb: It's okay. Let’s keep going. A'zaela Linh: Are you okay? Iieha Beautemps: I feel... I feel so sad but, not hurt, almost like I'm being cradled. That I shouldn't feel sad... A'zaela Linh: Perhaps your ancestors walked these paths. This must be part of what Hraesvelgr wanted you to see. Iieha Beautemps: He... He wanted me to see her and remember...

Iieha Beautemps: This place is so familiar to me... Alaq'it Moks: This place seems... there is strange air. It is not unpleasant, like the Palace was, but... it is still sad. Iieha Beautemps: It makes me feel sad but not scared, like I'm being comforted... A'zaela Linh feels similarly, somehow. Alaq'it Moks: It is a true tomb. Iieha Beautemps: I... feel as though I've been here... Iieha Beautemps looks to the lights shining in he distance. Iieha Beautemps: It used to be a beautiful courtyard, a path surrounded by flowers... Livvy Ahtynwyb: Maybe it could be made beautiful again. Iieha Beautemps seems lost in her thoughts as she stares up; she could see the heavens so perfectly... Alaq'it Moks: It is a different beautiful now, in a way. Iieha Beautemps's strength with the stars shining so brightly helps awaken an aether in her. Maybe they walked this path...

Iieha Beautemps hears the roar from a distance and tenses up as she brings the horn to her side; down falls a large wyrm before the girl and company. Iieha Beautemps looks to the wyrm's face and bows her head lightly to him. Varaelian Nilhandril cringes at the sound and lowers his head at the deep roar that rumbles through the air. Livvy Ahtynwyb stands and motions for the others to do so; following Iieha Beautemps's lead, she bows lightly. Iieha Beautemps: Hraesvelgr, thank you for coming to me. I apologize that I've called you so frequently as of late. I know better. Iieha Beautemps’s eyes finally lock onto the wyrm's: she's visibly shaking as she speaks. Iieha Beautemps: These are the allies that have helped Vedrfolnir in fighting against Nidhogg's brood to Zenith...a-as I told you. Nathaniel Rhys would actually inch backwards if he could, but as he's pressed as close to the edge of the ledge as he can be without falling, he lacks that option. Hraesvelgr: Thou calleth me for foolish reasons. That my child seeth them in high regard, it means little to me. Alaq'it Moks looks shocked. Iieha Beautemps: But you told me you would speak to them! And now you go back on your word!? Hraesvelgr opens his maw and there is a low roar from his mouth. Hraesvelgr: Hush thy tongue, child. I knoweth thy intent. It bares deep in your eyes. Do not lie. Livvy Ahtynwyb can't help but stare in awe at Hraesvelgr, who is more majestic than she had ever imagined. Iieha Beautemps: Then if you know why won't you aid us?! What more is there for us to do?! Is it because they are not Ishgardian that it doesn't matter?! Hraesvelgr roars load enough that even Iieha takes a step back; his eyes pierce a glare through her and through the company. Alaq'it Moks resists the urge to hide behind Ahtyn and squares her feet forward. Varaelian Nilhandril growls loudly, almost ready to roar back but holds and takes a step down from his sort-of perch. Livvy Ahtynwyb stands her ground: it is a respectful stance, but one that proves she is ready for just about anything. A'zaela Linh: You'll do nothing, then. A’zaela Linh speaks to the company, spreading out her arms. A'zaela Linh: Well, guys. Looks like we just pack up and go. Is that what you wanted us to say? A’zaela Linh is terrified, but she can no longer seem to hold her tongue. A'zaela Linh: This. This is not our fucking war. You and your brother's brood sit around and won't do a single thing to stop this. All for what? So more people have to die the way your lover did? Hraesvelgr closes his maw and his gaze continues to pierce each and every one of them. Hraesvelgr: That I have not gone and aided my brood-brother is a blessing for mortals. Shiva's dream keepeth the peace within me. Iieha Beautemps frowns and she too stands her ground as the others. Iieha Beautemps: So give up!? That's what you want US to do so you can continue to wallow in eternal sadness as the world burns?! Alaq'it Moks is shaking, but she puts her hands on her hips in a scolding gesture that she had seen with Limsan mothers. Alaq'it Moks: Now really, is growling how you talk to everyone? Livvy Ahtynwyb stops and clears her throat, ensuring that her words come out as Common rather than dragonspeak. Livvy Ahtynwyb: Horrible things happened in Ishgard, because of Ishgard. The Riskbreakers put their lives on the line to change that. Iieha Beautemps clenches her fist and glares up to the dragon. Iieha Beautemps: Wehk! In ala Wehk! Hraesvelgr steps forward, growling. A'zaela Linh squares her jaw, yet she does take a step back; there is a slight blue aura shimmering around her as she speaks. A’zaela Linh: We are willing to do anything. Shiva's dream means nothing if you sit aside and do nothing. There will be no peace. Only slaughter. Alaq'it Moks is determined to get paid and not see her friends upset. Varaelian Nilhandril: There has been enough slaughter in the world. Should Ishgard fall and your sibling has his way, what is to stop his rage from coming back at you and yours as well for not helping with his cause? Alaq'it Moks: I do not have brothers... but if I did, I would not tolerate them bringing my mother anguish with misdeeds, I would think. Hraesvelgr looks between the party and cuts off the connection to them, speaking only in his native tongue to Iieha Beautemps. Hraesvelgr: Yah dran herrn. In ala gahn. In ala wehk. Asah ool Ishgard? N wehk, ala. Ishgard ten, ehs, ala.* Iieha Beautemps feels her heart sink. Iieha Beautemps: But... we... we have so much determination, hope that rests on you... Alaq'it Moks: Do... do dragons have mothers? Iieha Beautemps: Please... please Hraesvelgr, will you not help us. What more can we do to prove ourselves to you to stop this war? This rage? Livvy Ahtynwyb looks truly upset for the first time as she hears the wyrm's dragonspeak. Livvy Ahtynwyb: Mortal or not, at least we have hope. For men and dragons both. Hraesvelgr finally at last closes his eyes when it seems Iieha has begun to cry in pleaing to the wyrm. Hraesvelgr: Again, you cry for man. Too much as she did, so very long ago. Then go, to where Ratatoskr once resided. Learn from it. Grow and face me. Thou would claim to have the strength and will to fight my brood-brother? Then show to me. Iieha Beautemps stares up, but not quick enough for her to even speak as great wings open and take flight upwards, away from the party. Alaq'it Moks: Alaq'it watches the sky in awe and thinks that this, truly, cannot be explained to her mother. A'zaela Linh approaches Iieha Beautemps as Hraesvelgr leaves, placing a hand on her shoulder, though the blue aura from her has not yet faded. A’zaela Linh: I do not possibly believe we can thank you enough. Iieha Beautemps's gaze remains on the stone even with the raw power of emotion from A'zaela reaches her. Iieha Beautemps: All I do is cry when I ask for help... Alaq'it Moks: You- you are both fine? Unhurt? A'zaela Linh: ...There are worse things to happen than tears. The fact that you stood through the whole thing strong is what matters. Truly, Iieha. Livvy Ahtynwyb's eyes grow wide with awe upon seeing A'zaela Linh. Livvy Ahtynwyb: Zaela, you're... Alaq'it Moks: Blue! Strangely! Oh, this will not report well. Alaq'it Moks looks at A'zaela Linh and panics! A'zaela Linh glances at Livvy Ahtynwyb. A’zaela Linh: ...Yes. A long story. But... we haven't the time. Iieha Beautemps finally rubs her eyes to clear the tears away. Iieha Beautemps: ...We have to go. The place he speaks of is Sohr Khai... Livvy Ahtynwyb: Sohr Khai? Iieha Beautemps: I didn't think this was how I was going to visit the place. Iieha Beautemps finally huffs, sounding more confident than earlier. Iieha Beautemps: He better keep that promise. Iieha Beautemps turns to the party and puts her hands on her hips. Iieha Beautemps: Well! Who's going then? Livvy Ahtynwyb: I'm going. Someone has to look out for you all. Alaq'it Moks: I would like to, if I can. Iieha Beautemps: Might do him some good to get punched in the snoot. Alaq'it Moks gazes upon Iieha Beautemps in deep reflection. Alaq'it Moks: If we are going to punch, we may need to stand on one another's shoulders. He is quite tall. A'zaela Linh: I'm going. Varaelian Nilhandril: No. Enjoy your adventure there. Alaq'it Moks: Miss A'zaela, in our training, we had one with strong emotions. She frequently ran ahead, and it put her in danger. Please, do not do such a thing. A'zaela Linh: A-Alaq'it... I am trained in battle. I'll do no such thing unless situation calls for it. Livvy will be leading us. Iieha Beautemps nods to the two. Iieha Beautemps: Okay...we'll go then. Just promise you'll be here when we get back or else! Alaq'it Moks smiles at A'zaela Linh. Varaelian Nilhandril: Just go. Alaq'it Moks: Both of you please do not do anything stranger than what we are doing while we are gone! Iieha Beautemps: ...Guess it's two trials in one. One to prove ourselves and I guess something for me... Livvy Ahtynwyb: You'll do great. We all will.
*Foolish dragon woman. You always arrogant, you always weak. Redemption for Ishgard? No, always weak. Ishgard corrupted, empty, always.

Dear Helisent,
As I’ve told you before, I’m not going to stop sending you letters. I know you read them, and I want to be in touch with you as best I can, even if you don’t. And with how many missions I’ve been sent on, and are about to be sent on, I don’t want to risk disappearing without a trace.
My free company, the Riskbreakers, have been hearing about civil unrest in the state of Ishgard. The city has been at war with the Dravanian horde for over a thousand years, and they finally have a chance of making peace. However, with the wyrm Nidhogg causing strife, it’s led to a bunch of problems. Some of the people are unwilling to let go of their anger and rage, and others are simply out for blood. It’s … led us to have a presence in the city.
