 Historia:

Nacida en una base militar de Alemnia en los EEUU con su padre el General Sam Lane, Lois fue criada y enseñada en el combate de armas por este en conjunto con su hermana Lucy Lane. Su madre murió de una enfermedad por lo tanto no se crio la mayor parte de su vida junto a ella. Despues de la universidad y graduandose como periodista esta jovencita se acercó a Perry White y el Daily Planet pidiendo trabajo. En esos tiempos se estaba jugando una historia de Lex Luthor la cual Lane consiguió colandose a su edificio y haciendo lo impensable por los reporteros de la ciudad. Al ver la valentía de Lois Perry decidió contratarla. Años despues el periódico Daily Planet se vería en una etapa de monotomia, hasta que un héroe de capa roja y símbolo de esperanza llegó a Metropolis. Era Superman y Lane tenía la primicia en ese superheroe volador. Fue la primera que escribió y fotografio junto a su compañero Jimmy Olsen sobre este extraño suceso que terminaría siendo algo normal para la Ciudad de Metropolis. Al mismo y extraño tiempo apareció un nuevo reportero, Clark Kent. Perry al principio le asignó a Lane y Olsen como compañero, ayudándolo a ponerse al tanto de como se hacían las cosas en el Planet. Ella, conociendo tanto a Superman como a Kent comenzó a sospechar que estos eran la misma persona. Lane hizo todo en su poder para probar que esto era verdad en dos años de conocidos y uno trabajando juntos hasta que este finalmente decide contarle su identidad secreta: Clark Kent y Superman son la misma persona. Desde ese entonces se emparejaron dejando ver el amor y cariño que se tienen y ademas siendo compañeros en prácticamente casi todo lo que hacían. Actualmente tienen tres años juntos pasando amenazas juntos como Brainiac y Zod, además de compartir con Martha y Jonathan Kent. Lois tomó un viaje largo recorriendo el mundo en busca de su segundo Pulitzer lo cual la alejo un poco de Metropolis pero no de su novio. Ambos comparten apartamento y un super perro llamado Krypto el cual encontró Clark e hizo que compartiera con ella.
