Overcoming negative self talk is incredibly difficult. I personally still haven’t jumped all the way through that hoop. But be persistent. Counter each negative thought with a positive one. Shake your head and shake those bad things out. You are going to make it through this, I promise.

Forgiveness is not saying “what you did to me was okay”
It’s saying “I’m not going to let what you did to me ruin my happiness forever”

Disclaimer
This blog is for rp purposes only. I am a counselor-in-training and am in school for counseling, but the mun is not a licensed practicing counselor. The purpose of this blog is neither to directly or indirectly provide counseling for any real person; it is solely for imaginative and creative writing. This blog is purely recreational, and the advice, techniques, and information that the character gives are not to be taken as actual counseling or therapy. When a fictitious client-therapist relationship is established between characters, no real client-therapist relationship has been established between muns, the other mun and Rachel, the mun and a reader/follower, or a reader/follower and Rachel.
Psychotherapy can be dangerous and harmful to a person if a counselor is not competent to practice, and as a counselor-in-training, I, the mun, am not yet competent to practice on real human beings. I am always happy to share what has helped me on my own mental health journey, but I am ethically bound by ACA standards and by my own morality not to even attempt to counsel another real human being. Fictitious characters are more than welcome to become clients for Rachel, but do not try to solicit indirect counseling through your characters or through reading my roleplays. Furthermore, I will not answer asks or IMs requesting counseling from Rachel if (a) those asks are anonymous or (b) those messages come from a personal blog. If I have reason to believe that another person is trying to use Rachel as a substitute for counseling or mental health services, I will (a) notify the person of my suspicions, (b) terminate the roleplay relationship (if there is one), and, if necessary, (c) block the offending blog.
If you have questions about different types of counseling, benefits of counseling, risks of counseling, or even counseling in and of itself, I will be more than happy to answer to the best of my knowledge. If you think you would benefit from counseling or require mental health services, seek out a professional.
Whether or not you have read this disclaimer, by interacting with me (the mun) or Rachel and by following this blog and/or reading the roleplays, you are acknowledging that I am not responsible for any actions you may take or beliefs you may form regarding Rachel’s fictitious counseling relationships. Such actions and beliefs may include but are not limited to substitution of in-character counseling for yourself out-of-character, applying knowledge gained from in-character relationships to your own life out-of-character, and making changes gained from in-character relationships to your own life out-of-character.
This all may sound very scary and overwhelming, but I know I do enjoy writing therapy sessions for my own characters, and I’ve even seen a meme going around asking to be sent anonymous asks as a muse’s therapist. I thought it would be fun to explore, especially since most rp characters, superheroes especially, have dark pasts and serious traumas. (Personally, I don’t think there isn’t a superhero that wouldn’t have PTSD. It’s just a matter of to what degree they would have it.) This also helps me solidify what I’m learning in class! Just please, follow the rules, and don’t take what Rachel says seriously for your own life.
