Hello. Do you know if a good place to trade Thorns tickets? I have a pair for the 17th that I’d love to trade!
just as an fyi to anyone currently or about to follow this blog: I'm answering this ask in july 2019; i haven't updated the blog since 2015; and i have no intention of ever starting up again - I just wanted to preserve the contents. it's basically just an archive, at this point.
in answer to the actual question, I have no idea - I'm not from portland (regrettably). your best bet would probably be reaching out to the supporters group, Rose City Riveters - they do have a ticket donation system, so might have something similar for trades/swaps?

hey portland fans?
want to help me become a web developer? kind of, sort of
i’m currently in the middle of a super fun (!!!) career change and i’m working on some personal projects to really demonstrate my web development skills and show off a bit. as a thorns fan, i figured doing a mock up for a new version of their ‘website’ was as good a venture as any(!)
i’ve drafted up a form here to gather the thoughts of users of the site and would appreciate if you could fill it in:
http://goo.gl/forms/7qnW1IqJHm
all of this is unofficial and bears no link to the official site or to the portland thorns themselves. this is purely for my own personal research. the data will go no further than myself.
tl;dr i’m gonna build a site for the thorns and wanna know what you think is good/sucks about the current one
(this is not limited to portland fans or soccer fans generally, if anyone wanted to do this, i would really appreciate it! or even if you just reblogged it! thanks!)

SO, in the aftermath of Sunday night's game, I hit another follower milestone and it's not that significant, generally, but it means a lot to me. The fact that this blog as gained as much traction as it has is in the last couple of months is great, and the fact that people find this even remotely useful/interesting gives me a lot of motivation. I'm looking forward to documenting the off-season and coming back bigger/better for next season. So, yeah, thanks(!)
But anyway here's to a successful playoffs for the Thorns; let's hope we can defend that title. And don't forget, history shows that the team that wins the shield loses to the 3rd place team in the final(!)
