*Sibuna using an Ouija board* Nina: Tell us… Is there a spirit in this house? Senkhara, through the board: YES. Patricia: Great! Rent is due on the first of the month. Alfie: Oh, and movie night is on Friday if you want to hang out. Senkhara: WAIT, WHAT—
#if Senkhara hadn't done so already#she would have cursed all of Sibuna#Maybe even the whole house#right then and there!#Senkhara is a ghost/spirit who doesn't mess around#house of anubis

RANDOM FAVOURITE MOMENTS 32/?
#don't remember when in season 2 this scene takes place exactly#but Nina's look in the first and last frame#it almost makes me think Patricia did this more so to help Nina feel more encouraged#than it is just to mess with Alfie#such a good moment!#house of anubis#sibuna

You're missing one:
Ok. Here is a random thought about the sinners. If Mara was the missed opportunity option. Which person would be shocking. Like seriously, who would be most unexpected.

I always thought it was added by the Frobisher-Smythes after they brought it back from Egypt.
thinking about how a cup from ancient egypt and a time pre-dating modern english has the word “END” written on it

I actually believe there is another way to revive sinners without bringing Ammut into the world. There was an actual recording by Robert Frobisher-Smythe detailing how it could be done. Unfortunately, that recording was destroyed by sinner!Patricia, and later replaced by Ms. Denby with, in Robert's words, "a more appropriate one". So, canonically speaking, there has to be a way to stop Robert before using the Staff of Osiris. Just because of how the story was written, there's no way to know what that would entail.
What if Willow and Mara became sinners?
ok unless im forgetting something major, the only way to "revive" the sinners would be to bring ammut into the world and then get rid of her with the staff just as they did in canon, right? otherwise their souls would just be stuck in a sarcophagus forever? so, the end result would be the same – the only difference would be how they get there and how smoothly the plan goes. (which, in canon, it happens very randomly, so you can only go up from there!)
anyway, if willow and mara became sinners, it would probably have happened right when they discovered jerome's cheating – before patricia got taken. and given that willow's personality change specifically would be very obvious, i think the others would be clued-in by the dodgeball game – even without knowing exactly what was happening, they would be on the look out for Team Evil being Evil.
which means, once they read that book and learn what's happening, patricia would immediately figure out that denby's trying to manipulate her, and she wouldn't believe the messages when denby gives them to her.
so, all this to say that patricia would probably stay safe. which puts sibuna at an excellent position going forward! not only would she ensure none of the boys do stupid things to get themselves taken, but she's also still (somehwat) besties with joy. and remember, joy's probably freaking out about mara/willow acting weird too, and given that sibuna themselves are sneaking out of bed etc (hello, eclipse fiasco was like 2 days before this!), she'd probably ask to be clued-in.
(side note: yeah she doesn't want to be involved, but, like, when lives are on the line, i think she'd insist on it anyway. tor be damned.)
anyway. with joy there (and, probably, jerome in tow, given he'll also demand to know what's going on once he realizes it's not all an elaborate prank and his exes genuinely seem to be lacking consciences), there's no way in hell anyone from anubis is walking around without a buddy to keep them out of harms way (and diffuse any high-emotional situation before it becomes Team Evil fodder). so the remaining sinners would be victor, sweet, and some random kid from another house as it should have been anyway.
tldr; joy and jerome would provide some much needed level-headedness (or, at least, comparative level-headedness) to prevent any loss of Sibuna members.
so then the next order of business would be to stop team evil!! which, fabian would probably come to the same conclusion that I did – they would have to let them "win" in order to get the souls out of the sarcophagus.
but I feel like their ancestors would also be a bit quicker and point them towards the nursery rhymes straight away somehow so they get the staff assembled well in advance, get the intel from harriet so they know to keep the keys with eddie and kt when things happen, and basically while the others do become Sinners for half a minute w the rest of the school, they're certainly not guarding the gatehouse/etc so it's a lot smoother now than it was in the show. and no one's getting abandoned in chimneys or believing gross old men for literally no reason or sneaking keys into people's pockets without permission.
as for willow/mara sinner shenanigans i have no idea lskdfj i feel like mara would constantly try to set up elaborate traps (like legit physical traps) and rfs would just be sitting there facepalming. meanwhile willow would be utterly useless given how opposite her natural self is to any sinnerhood tendancies. like i think her brain would just be at war with herself the whole time. we know she's a descendant-ish and probably(?) has some kind of prophetic eye, and idk how Sinnerhood affects that but poor girl was probably being driven mad :(( luckily she wont remember any of it, though.

What's more, re-watching the episode where the Collector's true identity is revealed, it appears that when Jerome tells Jasper he might know The Collector as "Renee Zeldman", his response seems to imply that Jasper has at least heard of him before, and is aware of how dangerous "Renee" can be. That means that Rufus's oh-so-clever alias has to be known to antique collectors and/or Egyptology enthusiasts as someone to be avoided at all costs. I wouldn't even be surprised if Rufus Zeno faked his death and started going by Renee Zeldman immediately after being kicked out of Victor's Secret Society.
So Rufus can pull a whole new identity complete with a flawless latex skin mask, a new voice, and a unique wardrobe out of his ass, but he couldn’t come up w an undercover name better than Renee Zeldman?
#i bet the only reason he went with Renee was because most people would assume it's a girl and stop looking#i mean#if they were looking for a not-dead Rufus Zeno#wouldn't he assume a male's name?#At least that might be his thought process#But yeah...#Rufus's undercover name needs work#Like#a lot of work!#house of anubis#Rufus Zeno

I don't think Mrs. Andrews would have excused child sacrifice. Remember: Rufus said Victor AND THE OTHERS thought the tipping of the scales were symbolic. The only one who found out it wasn't besides Sibuna was Victor. Mrs. Andrews, like Victor and the others, likely wouldn't have been on board with becoming immortal if they knew the students had to die for the ceremony to work. I could maybe see Mr. Sweet being okay with child sacrifice (not likely), but no one else in the society, especially Mrs. Andrews.
But kidnapping and gaslighting? Yeah, that's something problematic for even Mrs. Andrews to excuse.
Remember this part?

HOA AU but they’re running a community theatre company
• Nina is always cast in the lead even though all she really wants is to be the in-house dramaturge. KT also gets mostly leads, and they are the darlings of the local public
• Fabian runs lights, while Patricia is on the soundboard. Sometimes Fabian acts, too, and then it’s just Patricia in the booth calling everything by herself.
• Jerome and Mara trade off directing shows, and they’re in a constant power struggle
• Joy produces every show and is essentially the president of the company. She is THE only reason they’re still afloat
• Alfie stage manages most shows, but oftentimes ends up going onstage bc he’s a pretty solid performer
• All Eddie wants to do is be a techie, but he’s always cast as the male lead (“he’s got that lead male face” says Mara)
• Mick is also on stage a lot in secondary roles, which is just how he likes it.
• Amber and Willow are costume designer and costume assistant respectively. They often clash, but when the vision coincides it is always FABULOUS

I'm firmly on the camp of #1. Nina very much saw the ghost of Robert. My headcanon is that the curse made him asleep for eternity without his soul, and he was without his soul UNTIL KT and Eddie put the key in the keyhole and sent Ammut back to the underworld. Had Robert been woken up by the pure of heart and therefore good, his soul would have reunited with his body then. But because that wasn't the case, he was woken up soulless and under the control of Ammut, just like the sinners he makes in the sarcophagi. Furthermore, the incantation that begins the process only works if the person saying it is already soulless. Had Victor, Denby, or literally said the incantation, it wouldn't have worked.
if one more person says nina seeing robert’s spirit is a completely unexplainable plothole i might actually weep bc yes it is technically a plothole, but there are two incredibly easy ways to explain it:
1. oh, nina saw the soul of robert in the house the house, but he’s still alive?! yeah, he’s still alive WITHOUT A SOUL. that’s the whole damn point 😭 his cursed spirit could have just been bound to the house until the ceremony either yoinked him back into his body or didn’t
2. nina has dreams, sees visions, communes with inanimate objects and spirits… maybe she was just having a vision kinda like eddie does
as for the recast, have yall ever heard of suspending your disbelief? the characters in bridgerton aren’t pointing their fingers at francesca going “WHO ARE YOU?” bc we all know it’s still her just a different actor. like please some of you people sound stupid
