UHC website has an article entitled "Response to Misinformation" in which it explicitly labels Luigi as a killer despite a trial not taking place. Which in itself is defamation and very telling of their concerns with pushing a narrative more than a legal and ethical perspective.

So I was reading Queen’s Shadow by E.K. Johnston and something popped out at me.

Without spoiling the book, basically Sabé is on Tatooine working for slave liberation, and specifically trying to find Shmi Skywalker at Padmé’s request. But when she goes back to the old Skywalker residence, she finds there’s nothing but a symbol on the door, presumably left there by the others working against slavery - a small white sun.

Like, Beru Whitesun. Soon to be Beru Lars, aunt and guardian of Luke Skywalker.

And now I can’t stop thinking about Beru Whitesun, 20-something-year-old spearhead of the Tatooine abolitionist movement, a force to be reckoned with, this absolute brilliant hurricane of social change. Sneaking into Mos Espa at night, breaking in and disabling slave tracking chips, leading the people out of the city and loading them with credits and safe passage offworld. Owen and Beru’s moisture farm as a point on Tatooine’s Underground Railroad, or a meeting place for others working for the movement.

And then give me Luke who grew up at abolitionist protests. Luke sneaking downstairs at night to listen in on the meetings happening in the kitchen, where others fighting for justice speak in hushed tones. Luke making friends with the children who used to be slaves while they hide out in his home, their safe-house, inviting them to share his toys and his clothes and his bed. Luke growing up with a heart for justice, working to end the cruelty his father was born into and his mother fought in the Senate to oppose, even without knowing it.

It's such a tiny line in Queen's Shadow, but it feel like it couldn't be a coincidence - that detail is a deliberate choice made by the author and I am HEADCANONING SO HARD. Beru Whitesun Lars, abolitionist leader. Hell yeah.

gamecube was the best designed controller of all time exclusively for the button cluster that gave you easy thumb roll access to all buttons but also gave you the a button as a thumb rest (because it’s the one you press the most) and took into account the frequency with which each button gets pressed in its design rather than doing the stupid diamond design that gives no button priority and rests your thumb in the shitty blank space between buttons
