Well, things weren't good. And Kate did seem open to listening, but how was he supposed to explain it? Yeah, I went MIA and didn't speak to anyone and wasn't home for months, and now my son's are in danger and I don't know how to help.

"It's just... Damian and Tim have a whole thing going on, I've been needing to call on Duke for the nightshift, I need extra hands. And Jason, well, he's the same."

Kate walked into the small café, hands in her jacket pockets. She looked around, scanning the room for the familiar face of her cousin. She smiled as she caught sight of him, walking towards him with a wave, "Hey B! Missed you."

Bruce arrived as quickly as possible, it being a long time since he last saw Kate. He was sat in one of the corner spaces, looking around for her. When he saw her, he got up and went in for one of his hugs.

“Hey Kate.” His voice was soft, much different than the ‘Dark Knight’ persona he’d put on, “Come, sit.”

He listened to her speak about Renée, nodding slightly. He made a small face about Ivy, but didn't push anything (that woman's passion for the environment was beyond insane). Then, another nod about Diana.

"I think you should go for it. And I'm sorry about Renée. It was for the best, I'm sure. I know you two loved eachother quite a bit."

He sighed. To be frank, kids were not fine. Tim was dying apparently, Damian was torn up over it, Duke was horribly tired, he hadn't heard from Dick in ages and Jason was still Jason. Like usual. Like always.
