LOTS OF PUNK STAMPS! (part 1)
Here we are with another part of music genre stamps. Just like the goth stamps i made, its a "my favorite genre is in this stamp" + aesthetic stamp combo.
Punk genres listed for this batch, because theres so many punk genres
Anarcho-Punk (i.e. Crass, Rudimentary Peni, The Mob, Lost Cherrees)
Celtic Punk - punk + celtic music (i.e. Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly)
Chain Punk - from the meme involving "chain vs egg punk". Has more hardcore punk roots, aggressive
Egg punk - from the meme involving "chain vs egg punk". Quite similar to synth punk due to usage of synths.
Crust punk (i.e. Nausea, Axegrinder, Doom, Deviated Instinct. Aus Rotten)
D-Beat - artwork inspired by those "d beat album covers that has band members censored eyes". Bands like Discharge (where the genre name is from), Anti Cimex, Driller Killer
Emo/Emotional Hardcore (more focused on bands like Rites of Spring, American Football, Jimmy Eat World, and all of those stuff. I'll try to make a different emo stamp for the likes of MCR, Fall Out Boy, and Paramore)
Folk Punk (i.e. Pat the Bunny, Days n Daze, Mischief Brew)
Grindcore - even it's more related to metal. I decided to include here since it was rooted from hardcore punk. Example bands: Napalm Death, Extreme Noise Terror
Digital Hardcore - electronic music + hardcore punk. Some mostly use guitars (i.e. Rabbit Junk) and some will have mostly electronic sounds than guitar (i.e. Machine Girl). Decided to have more cyberpunk aesthetic for this, 'cause it sounds like stuff you play in middle of a fight in a cyberpunk world
Hardcore Punk - apparently "hardcore" can mean different music genres (Beatdown hardcore is one of it but theres also hardcore techno), but lets focus on the punk. Bands like Bad Brains, Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, and Minor Threat.
Horror Punk - spooky punk music. (i.e. Blitzkid, Misfits, Calabrese)
Oi! (i.e. Oi Polloi, Angelic Upstarts, Camera Silens)
Punk Rock - supposedly for the classic punk rock sound but stamp can be used for punk rock in general. Example bands: The Clash, Ramones, Sex Pistols
Ska punk (i.e. Operation Ivy, Less than Jake, Against all Authority)
Skate Punk - something you have heard on Tony Hawk pro skater games. Anyway... bands like NOFX, Suicidal Tendencies (also metal), Pennywise
Street Punk (i.e. GBH, Varukers, UK Subs)
Synth Punk (i.e the Screamers, Suicide, Devo)
feel free to use it to your personal page, carrd, neocities, strawpage, toyhouse, sheezy, deviantart, etc. No need to credit when using the stamps (like putting html embeds and stuff) but linking any of my pages is appreciated when reposted, reblog, or reupload on different places.

My favorite scene in Kingdom Hearts 2
Tumblr media
An odd choice, isn't it? Well, it's super silly but I like this scene even if it bears no real weight to the entire game.
It's a beautiful afternoon on the hill, the kids are waiting for a fabled train and in comes Seifer -- their supposed rival and one of my favorite character in gaming-- to seemingly just pester then. And pester he does, enough for Roxas to stand up and face him, to which Seifer responds:
"Why does looking at you always piss me off?"
"I dunno, maybe it's destiny," Roxas replies. And while the response is semi-sarcastic, it seems that it hits a bit with Seifer.
Tumblr media
And something about this is really rather... sweet.
It's a good reference on how Seifer doesn't like destiny dictating what he should do (a relevant topic for his game of origin, Final Fantasy 8). But also, it really goes to show that the two posses really are just... pettily competing, but they're very capable of cooperating with one another. Like, Seifer and posse fight the wibble wobbles (the dusks) with Roxas, putting aside their "rivalry" for a second, and had Roxas story in Twilight Town continued maybe we would've seen more layers to the whole thing. After all, in this very scene Olette calls out to Seifer to which he responds:
"I know. Tomorrow."
It's not clear what he means, and that part always confused me before, but now I kinda think it's that he and his posse were going to help Heyner and the others do something before vacation was over. Or that there were other plans. It's subtle, but it really feels like he respects them and doesn't overlook something he promised to do for them. It's curious, but it feels very much like a real group of teens being each other's rivals. It's a depth I didn't expect. It's just so interesting to me, for that scene has no real purpose but it exists.
it exists and it's important to me, in a silly way. A moment of banter that feels like I'm in the group of teens talking as the sun is setting behind the mountains. A moment that recontextualizes the "rivalry" of both of the groups, a promise of 'Tomorrow' that, if i'm not mistaken, doesn't come for Roxas. It's a moment that really captures an essence that's long gone for me, too, but i can always come back and feel it all over again. A moment of comfort in a fictional world, within a fictional world.
How silly, right?
Anyways, that's all I want to say.

Does anyone else find it very difficult to make crime/action stories set in the modern times?
With technology it seems like there's less margin for plots to play out dramatically and proper, information being delivered by the second and all. or am i crazy LMAO.

The way greasers and socs both come from environments with high rates of child neglect, high rates of parents who are alcoholics and addicts, but it’s framed completely differently. Classy if you’re rich, but trashy if you’re poor, if you will.
Greaser parents are “negligent.” Soc parents can’t possibly be, because they provide their children with everything financially and materially. And if they don’t spend any time with their children, it’s in the classy, high society way: handing them off to nannies and housekeepers until they’re old enough to behave at dinner parties.
Greaser parents are “alcoholics” and “use drugs.” Soc parents are fathers with refined taste in expensive whiskey, and mothers who just need to “calm their nerves.”
Only greasers come from “broken homes.” Socs come from respectable marriages that stay pictures perfect through years of “your father is working late again.”
Greaser homes are loud and small and cramped, run down and broken and in disrepair. Soc homes are sprawling mausoleums of refined, polite silence, filled with perfectly displayed, expensive items that children aren’t allowed to touch.
