I can relate, a while back I had an intimidating, voiceless, lumbering, monstrosity character that I named Steve as a placeholder, and that just ended up being his name. He was pretty cool. Good with kids, made really great coffee.

I have learned over time to never give your characters placeholder names while creating them because while developing them you will absolutely get attached to the name to the point you don’t want to change it and ur epic character will be stuck with the dumbass name forever became it means too much to you

they keep making home alone sequels which are more and more convoluted when it’s like one of the ONLY films which could work with a next gen sequel. like. just picture this: kevin mcallister has a buncha adopted kids. over christmas weekend, he flies down to pick up his parents for christmas only for all flights to be cancelled so they have to spend several days driving back home. the newest foster kid becomes super nervous about them being home alone when there’s been a string of burglaries in the neighborhood. they then turn around and see that everyone else is already setting up booby traps. turns out that no matter what they do this happens every other christmas, they’re half-convinced got cursed by a witch, but they are prepared. they’ve been prepared for years. it’s their time

One small thing I like about Adventure Time is that a majority of the main cast is immortal (or at least can live for centuries at a time), but all for completely separate reasons: -BMO is a robot that was designed to last for centuries

-Marceline’s demonic heritage gives her immortality while her vampirism keeps her looking young

-Princess Bubblegum is a mutant gum creature that ages much more slowly than most other races

-Simon is bound to a cursed object that does everything it can to keep its host alive
