Meetings don't always go well.

Before this story starts this is the same story on wattpad under the name of a different user TheMidnightWhispers, Which is my other account so do not be alarmed I am not stealing my own story XD If you rather read this story on wattpad just look up Dennis x reader (svtfoe) and it should pop up!

The forest was damp and dark, All we could hear was the wind howling in whispers in our ears and the soft click and clop from our horse's hoofs hitting the dirt and rock covered ground.

I wouldn't say this was the best place to be but Lady Moon thinks these monsters will help us figure out whats been happening to the draining of magic, Why going into the Forest Of Certain Death was the first one on the list was beyond me, All I know is I wanna leave as soon as possible.

"Miss l/n, We are coming up to the home of King and Queen of Avarius. I expect you to be on your best behavior and to stay behind me and stay silent while I talk, Do I make myself clear?" Her rough yet steady voice says cutting through my thoughts and deafening sounds of the forest that wants to kill anything that breathes.

"Yes, lady Moon." I spoke softly as we continue up a dirt path, Now coming up to a thinning out open land with a broken down house that could be falling to its basement any moment from a gust of wind or tree trying to destroy it just because it's there.

We both stop our horse's, I stepped off my horse and helped Lady Moon down and let her guide our way to the front door of the abandoned looking home, I pulled my hood from my cloak on tighter to hide my face and weapons around my body, I was highly skilled in close combat and one of the best guards in the castle of Mewni, Lady Moon wanted to go alone but Sir River insists that she brought someone along with her to the Forest Of Certain Death, So Lady Moon picked me.

I honestly didn't expect to be picked, I was one of the best knights but I was nothing compared to the royal guards of the castle, the royal guards stay in the castle while the Knights stay in the villages to keep the people of Mewni safe from thieves and smugglers and even monsters if they somehow get through the barrier that Lady Moon created with her magic.

I was getting ahead of myself and lost in thought when I heard Lady Moon knock on the door of the abandoned house bringing me out of my thoughts, I need to focus in case of something happening to our Queen or myself.

The door made a slide sound, I couldn't see what happening but I take it Lady Moon was fine from her simple reaction of standing back a little when the door opened

Keeping my head down as Lady Moon spoke to King Avarius I couldn't shake the feeling of being watched, Of course, it's gonna happen due to the fact we are in the forest of monsters but this feeling was different than most of the common feelings of being watched.

I ignored the feeling and focused on Queen Moon and King Avarius as his crown hit the down with a rattle of metal, Lady Moon just stepped forward while I just stood in the shadow being as quiet and not drawing attention as King Avarius grumbled about no one picking up his crown but once he picked it up and placed it back on his head he hits it off his head again and closed the door, I let out a quiet sigh from how dumb these monsters are and seeing how Lady Moon reacted towards it, she too was not happy about them.

King Avarius walks past us with a rough grumbly voice "My dear" He paused for a moment "We have company, You might wanna get dressed." he grumbled as he walked away, I looked over Lady Moons shoulder to see a slender figure at a broken table, The figure moved its head to the side and looked over their shoulder to see a confused look and soon replaced with excitement.

The figure stood up fast and flung whatever was in their arms to reveal a smaller version of King Avarius but female, Getting a better look at the figure they held a crown on their head and a feminine stance and a kind smile on her...beak?

"Queen Moon! What do we owe the honor for this visit." Queen Avarius says while placing her hands in her sleeves, I looked down and respected their private conversation.

I glanced around the room, A lot of broken things laid around and peeling wallpaper and broken picture frames, A red chair caught my eye seeing as that's the only decent looking thing in that room.

I adverted my eyes and placed them on the floor behind Lady Moons feet to focus more on her than my surroundings, I checked everything out and if something goes wrong I know where to go to escape and protect her because if I get her hurt in anyway King River will surely take my head off for it.

Before I knew it everything became serious and hearing the last bit of their conversation "-Not DENNIS" Queen Avarius sent a dark glare towards the red chair, A green bird like monster like King and Queen Avarius emerged from the red chair, A dead glare towards both royals.

Who was that thing? I know its name is Dennis but it looked eviler than King River completely wild in the village when Queen Moon travels to different kingdoms for business which makes me worry about the village now...

After Queen Avarius returned to Queen Moons conversation, The figure in the red chair 'Dennis' glances at me now, His glare hardens on my frame hidden behind a cloak and hood, He couldn't see my features but he was extra careful while looking at me, Probably trying to figure out if I am good or bad.

After what felt like forever the two royals conversations die down and soon said their goodbyes and thank yous and before I knew it, we mounted our horses and rode off towards the castle, A look of disappointment and stress flashing through Lady moons eyes as our horses guide us back to the castle.

After 5 minutes I felt the same pair of eyes of being watched again, I strained my ears to listen for any sound and for my surprise I heard a rustling of leaves being moved, We are being followed I looked over to Lady Moon and she slightly nodded her head telling me she hears it too.

"I know you are there, Come out, If you know whats good for you" Queen Moon says with no emotion but the threat in her voice still hinted she will attack if needed.

The figured landed dead center in both me and Queen Moons path and once our horses stopped I stood up on my sadle throwing my cloak on my right side back grabbing my sword but Queen Moon threw her hand out to me, signaling me to back down but I still stayed in my stance with my hand on the handle of the crisp cool metal of my sword.

"What do you want" Lady Moon glared at the figure in front of us glaring daggers until suddenly his face turns from pure evil and deadly into soft and concerned " It's me, Dennis! You were just at my house."

Queen Moon stepped off her horse and within a second I was at her side, My stance tall and strong, If he did try something I was now waiting "Why are you following me" Queen Moon says to Dennis.

"Are you looking for my big brother because you wanna help him?" Dennis questions Lady Moon while looking at her in concern "Help him what?" Queen Moon asks the teenage monster unsure if she wanted an answer or not.

"He is not well" Dennis shakes a little with sadness, seeing this was shocking, to say the least.

"Do you know where he is?" Lady Moon says to Dennis as he seemed to brighten up "I can take you to him!" He says as he bends down in a squatting position in front of Queen Moon, To put it lightly it looked extremely wrong and inappropriate "O-oh my! W-what is this?!" Queen Moon blushes from how inappropriate and immature of him to do but of course he was a monster and not many of them know manners like Lady Moon and me.

"We must go by wing M'lady" Dennis says extremely creepy to me, I wasn't gonna let this strange monster take Queen Moon somewhere without me, It is against my orders to leave her alone.

"Excuse me no, Lady Moon will not be going with you, My mission is to keep Queen Moon from any harm and bring her home safe, " I said gripping onto the handle of my now warm sword

It took a moment for Dennis to process my order before he straightened himself out and looked over at me "But this is serious, My big brother is in trouble and I fear for his life!" Dennis seemed on edge

I didn't say anything but once I thought through my answer Lady Moon beat me to it "Please excuse miss l/n, My husband assigned me a knight and I had her come with me." Lady Moon seemed a little upset for me disobeying her command but we weren't in the house anymore so I could freely speak my mind.

"I will go with you, But stay low enough so my knight may follow below." Queen Moon says to Dennis who seems to almost jump out of his....feathers for his excitement.

He bent down again and Queen Moon didn't give me a chance to argue when Dennis flew up fast not giving her a chance to hold on tightly, I let out a monstrous growl and sprinted after them, Luckily my speed came with my training and other abilities.

Queen Moon knew about this and wasn't fazed by how I became this....half monster being but I was 85% Human but no one could tell if they have seen me and saw what I hide.

3 minutes of flying for Dennis and 40 minute feeling for me, Running 3 miles in 4 minutes should be a mewni record!

Ahh if only it was a good time to crack a joke but nows, not the time due to the fact that DENNIS WON'T COME DOWN FROM THE MOUNTIAN HE TOOK QUEEN MOON ON!

I was furious and worried, Maybe he is gonna attack her while she is up there? He must know her powers are weak from how our magic is so low, Freaking great I am starting to have a mini attack from worrying so bad.

I huffed after taking a small break from my legs wanting to fall off from running so much but being at the bottom of the mountain while they are up top without me is quite stressful, I was wondering if I should even try going up after them but that thought disappeared once I spotted the green monster bird flying back towards The Forest Of Certain Death, Oh how I wanted to kill that monster with my bare hands.

~Time skip of wanting to die from your sore and tired legs~

I was panting when I got back to our horses, Lady Moon was on her horse while Dennis stood little ways away from her showing he wasn't gonna do anything to her or our horses, Good the monster knows better.

I walked up to Lady Moon and bowed but her sharp and worried voice hits my ears "Come on y/n we have no time to wait around, We need to get back to Mewni as fast as we can" Her horse started to walk forward towards the kingdom while I saddled up onto my horse.

"Will you help my brother?" Dennis says stepping towards my horse, I looked at the green monster bird not wanting to answer him but didn't wanna be rude.

"I don't know, My place is the village guard in Mewni, I never leave unless I am ordered too." y/n says to him, Watching him look down "Please...just...maybe try? I miss my brother so much I just wanna make sure he is okay" Dennis flys up into the trees.

I sigh and took off on my horse after Queen Moon and followed her back to Mewni, I know for sure that I will meet the monster again.

A little struggle here and there.

This was typed very late at night and it was a gift for a friend of mine, Hope you like it @glory-18 !

PLEASE BEWARE THAT CHESTER THE CHEETAH FROM CHEETO’S IS A JOKE IN THIS BECAUSE HE WEARS SUNGLASSES ALL THE TIME LIKE ANGUS DOES SO I JOKED AROUND SAYING IT’S ANGUS SCATTERGOODS, COUSIN!

A tall slender gray cat walks into a kitchen, Pulling out salad from the ice box and making himself a tuna salad, Thomas the gray cat was about to place his salad and tuna on the counter to put in a bowl until he noticed a few bags of Cheeto's and other snack foods on the counter, Either fully empty bags or half eaten ones. The gray cat growls in annoyance and cleans up some of the mess, Just enough to have a place to make his lunch. After he was done he put everything away and was walking into the living room to see two other felines in it, One bigger orange and yellow feline with spots while the other smaller sized one white and slender like Thomas, The two other felines were laughing and eating snacks, Angus and Chester oh what a lovely week that is gonna be. Thomas cleared his throat trying to get the attention of both males "This is annoying you know" As he gestures to Angus and Chester talking and acting alike. They both stop and looked at the gray cat at the doorway of the living room, Angus took a big handful of Cheeto's and took a big bite out of all of them in his hand, “U wot m8?” muffled by the Cheeto's in his mouth as he chewed, Chester laughs hard at Thomas’s reaction as Thomas has steam coming out from his ears "You can shove that nasty snack up your as-" Chester throws a few Cheeto’s at Thomas "OI! Don't you bash gold when you see it!" Chester glares eating more Cheeto's "You guys are disgusting" Thomas eats his salad and walks away but stops and turns around heading to the kitchen to grab a fork and walks by and stops by the doorway to the living room and makes a angry face at Angus and flips him the bird and keeps on walking "Oi Thomas you better not fly that bird in this house again or else I'll break it clean off!" Angus growls Chester laughs "Angus man he is just blinded by that nasty green barf, He'll come around" Chester smirks Angus chuckles enjoying the quiet house for a moment until a female came opens the door to the front of the house. Glory walks into the front door with her sunglasses on and book bag and laptop case holder seeing the little scene play out, She huffs with an annoyed face and Ozzie comes up to her and beeps at her "Oh yeah tell me about it" She grumbles and walks to the kitchen to see the mess of Cheeto's all over the place. Her face turns from annoyed to anger and grabs an empty bag and stomps to the living room to see the both felines laughing and eating Cheeto's with a small mess on the floor from where Thomas had gotten Cheeto's thrown at him "What the hell Angus! Ozzie just cleaned this house and today you are supposed to be putting some cords into the new song, Not eating junk food and hanging out with.....whoever the bloody hell you are" She says looking at the orange and yellow cheetah with the same brand of sunglasses as Angus does.

Angus's ears lay back and slowly looks over his shoulder to see a fuming Glory "O-oh oh! Hey, Glory! U-um" He clears his throat trying to stop his stuttering knowing when Glory was mad she really means business, "How was seeing the old bunny? I hope he didn't chew your ear off!" He chuckles trying to change the subject but seeing as how mad she is he is not really getting anywhere with his talking. He sighs and kinda lets his body melt on the couch and lazily points to Chester "Chester meet my assistant Glory, Glory Meet my cousin Chester the Cheeto cheetah" He grumbles as Chester gets up and does a small bow and reaches out to Glory's hand and shakes it giving it a small kiss on her hand "My, Angus didn't tell me a beautiful she-cat was staying in his house I would've kept cleaner and kept the house a little better if I have known" He says winking at Glory. Glory sat there for a second taking her hand away from the....strange looking cheetah "I didn't know Angus....had a cousin like you, He never mentioned someone like you" Glory says looking from Chester to Angus who looked like he was deep in trouble Angus slowly gets up and dusts his black sweater of Cheeto cheese off and notices what Chester did to Glory's hand, He glared at Chester and cleared his throat again "W-well I haven't talked about Chester because he can be very crazy and really only me and him get along in the distant family" Angus says trying to make himself not in full blame "Well Angus I have tons of stories to tell Thomas until he pulls all his hair out so I am gonna bother Thomas while you and Glory sort stuff out" Chester says giving a small glare at Angus and walks to Thomas's guest room in Angus's house, In the distance once Chester left you can hear Thomas yowl and scream at Chester to put it lightly 'Bugger off’

Glory taps her foot on the ground glaring at Angus "So what you are saying is I can't handle someone as 'crazy' as Chester? Have you seen Smokey when she is on her 4th cup of catnip? You are not any better than she is when on catnip! You get so hyper and once you crash from your catnip rush you grab me and drag me to the bed and cuddle me when you pass out" Angus blushes bright red in shock that he did that, He pokes at both his pointer fingers in a small voice "D-did I really do that?" He asks while Glory lets out a small growl "Okay! Okay, I am sorry alright? The...the main reason why I don't talk about him and don't trust him around...well you is because he has a habit of....taking things I really care about" Glory's face softens a little at this words "He took Ozzie from me a few years back and I thought someone stole him out of the tour bus when I was on the stage but after a week of not finding him Chester reappears having Ozzie bring in his suitcase saying he is staying the night at my place"

Glory's ear droop down and frowns "He....doesn't sound like a good cousin if he just goes and hurts you and makes you worry like that" Angus sighs scratching his hair in stress "I was glad to see Ozzie back with me because I was so stressed out because I had a song I needed to be sent out but Ozzie wasn't here so I had to fight my way to the record deal to see Ian as mad as a bull seeing red" Angus looked to the floor seeing the Cheeto's on the floor as he bent down to start picking some of it up, Glory bent down as well and started helping "Maybe...you should tell him how you feel towards his actions?" Angus shakes his head "That'll just fuel the fire making him say that I am jealous of him trying to take my girlfri-" Angus cuts himself off fast his face going red for a moment "-Girl assistant!" He covers up fast sweating a little now.

Glory slowly grew a confused expression on her face but quickly changed it not wanting to stress on the matter anymore she stood up and took the Cheeto’s in her hand and threw them away "Get cleaned up and start on the cords for the song, Ian is not waiting any longer on it and gave us exactly 1 week or else I might get removed as your assistant" Glory says the last part quietly but Angus heard it "He what! He better not do anything to you! You are helping me get better at getting my songs out faster" Angus rages standing straight up walking over to the trash can, Glory gets really upset feeling herself slowly losing the confidence she thought she had, Now putting thought into this she might really lose the only place she felt at home at for the first time in a while, Ozzie was like her little friend who helped her get things out faster and Angus....Angus made her feel...happy like she doesn't have to fight anymore and to relax and be happy

Glory was lost in her thoughts, Not noticing Angus was raging so much he bumped into her making her book bag drop and hit the floor seeing a few papers fly out on the ground "Oh bloody nubber I am so sorry Glory I..uh...I got a little carried away with my anger" Angus apologize and bends down to pick up her papers from the bag but one sheet of paper catches the white feline's eyes. He pulls down his sunglasses and reads the neat hand writing, Lyrics was what popped into his mind when he read more of it. Glory grabs the paper from Angus a cherry red blush on her cheeks "I-i gotta go!" She grabs the rest of her papers and runs to her room leaving Angus alone in the kitchen in the still bent down place he was looking at his hands voicing out the lyrics ~"A star is what you are, You are a star shining like no other but nothing could complete you like someone beside you. My love for you is bright like a stage light, Bright and blinding but you can't see that I am always cheering the loudest for you, You may not know it but you are my shining star, You are my shining star"~ Angus shot straight up making a beat start up his mind he ran to his studio turning everything on and playing the beat on his drums, Completely ignoring his last song he kept replaying the lyrics in his mind ~'You are my shining star'~ He smiles getting the beat straight on the nail, All he needed was vocals

A little later Glory shut the door to her room looking at the paper Angus was reading and felt herself become on fire with embarrassment, Out of all the papers why that one? She wrote that song when she was 19, Just getting into Angus Scattergood's music. Why she kept it because she thought maybe he could see it when she was ready to show him her cringy fangirl ways when he first got started in his music career. Glory rubs her face in a stressful manner and places her laptop on her bed and the book bag on the floor next to her nightstand, She changes into house clothes out of her going out clothes and rethinks about what happened in the kitchen, Guilt slowly crosses her stomach, Why did she just run away from him and ripped the paper out of his hands if she was gonna show him it anyway? She grumbled at herself and opened the door to her room and walked to the kitchen, Maybe a cup of warm milk tea and sugar cookies might be a good apology to him and she can explain to him her little out burst.

After setting up the kettle and got the tea made and warmed up sugar cookies she started her path to Angus's studio, Fear slowly rises in her chest, Was it a good idea? Maybe he is focused on his new song and doesn't wanna be disturbed, Glory stop worrying so much! You need to apologize to him and explain to him why you acted the way you did. She growls angerly at herself and found herself at the door of the studio, She can hear the music playing on the big speakers of his studio which means he just finished the biggest part of the song, Great so he is free until he does vocals. With a big gasp of air she knocks on the door, the speakers went silent but you can hear singing Angus singing

Slowly breathing the air again she opens the door ever so slowly and walks in closing the door so it won't make a clicking sound, she walks to his table and places the tray down, Maybe....stealing a sugar cookie when she did so. Her guilty pleasure is sugar cookies okay?! They are amazing! She softly munched on it listening to Angus sing, Whatever soft song he was singing did not sound right for his voice. Glory sat down on his office chair and listened to him "-You are my shining star~ My beautiful shining star" Glory choked a little on her cookie, He was singing her song! Her cringy nasty old song that made no sense what so ever! Angus sighed in annoyance "Why doesn't this song sound good! I wanna make it perfect but it's so out of my vocal range!" Angus yells slamming his hands on the guitar he was holding but after he noticed he hit it "Oh my! Cherry honey I am so sorry!" Angus says rubbing the area he hit on the guitar the sparkling red guitar had no mark on it from him hitting it. Over dramatic over a guitar, Glory sat up slowly walking over to Angus catching his attention making him stand up fast "G-glory! I didn't hear you come in" Angus runs over to the paper on his desk with the lyrics he remembered from the paper he read it off of

Glory watches him and nods "I-uh...I heard you...singing my song" Glory says looking away Angus stops what he was doing and turns around to look at the sad feline, She was rubbing her shoulder and was looking down at the floor, Her ears droopy and a sad aura feeling came from her. Angus felt tense up at this feeling, This wasn't an emotion Glory was supposed to feel, Not in his house. Angus looked to the side of his desk to see fresh milk tea and warm sugar cookies, That she-cat knows him so well. He poured himself a cup of tea and took a sugar cookie and walked up to Glory from behind and did the unthinkable he nuzzles the back of her neck placing his forehead against the back of her neck softly speaking, His voice getting a bit rough but smooth "Thank you sweetheart, I really needed this" He says backing away from her eating his cookie and drinking the warm tea. Glory made a slight squeaking sound her body tensed up with her arms brought up to her chest trying to slow down her racing heartbeat and the heat washing over her cheeks

After Angus finishes his tea and cookies he walks back over to his tape holder taking out the tape with Glory's song on it and gave it to Glory "I am sorry Glory...But...I don't think my voice fits with this song of yours, I got the beat and music to fit the lyrics but...My voice is not built for vocals like these" Glory stares at the tape slowly taking it from his hands reading the label 'You are my shining star', Glory felt Angus's hand on her cheek concern laced his eyes through the sunglasses "O-oh Glory mate...I-i didn't mean to make you cry! I-if it upsets you so much I can get rid of it" His thumb rubbing the stray tear that left her ice blue orbs. She was crying but didn't know she was, A choked sob leaves her mouth but covering it up was a warm pair of arms and a slender chest that wrapped themselves around her small frame. Angus rubbed his hand on her back while the other ran through her hair, comforting the distressed female "G-glory I am sorry I didn't mean to make you cry....Your song was so amazing I just....I had to make it happen...I didn't know it would hurt you" Angus's voice sounded hurt and guilty, Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to bring that song to life like he did.

Glory moved him back a little and smiles at him the brightest smile she could do "Y-you are really dumb Angus...I am crying because I am happy! Not because I am upset at you" Glory hugged him, secretly putting all her love for him into it, She needed to at least make him feel it. Angus smiles at the she-cat in his arms, It felt....good it felt so nice holding her in his arms, He felt this feeling before when he first met Glory, The first thing that crossed his mind was the warmth that spread across his chest when she walked in when Ian asked his assistant to let my 'new' assistant in, I got to say I will never forget this wonderful feeling. I pulled Glory closer to me, Wanting to feel her warmth and perfect feeling, It was all good unti- SLAM! "Angus! Angus! I just got an idea for the new song! My dad was humming something my mother used to sing to him an- Oh...Sorry, Mr. Scattergood I didn't know you were...busy" Bodi stopped his rambling and stopped walking in when he caught both felines....hugging? but he didn't know if it was a good time or not

Angus felt himself get angry, Shaking almost Glory noticed this and started to pet his head breaking away from the hug rubbing the left over tears in her eyes "No bodi you are fine, I was just having a rough time and Angus offered a hug" Glory smiled and looked at Angus who seemed to of calmed down from the petting of his hair, Angus rubs his face and looks at Bodi "What was it again...uh...Bodi?" He forgot his name again, Angus walked over to Cherry his special guitar and picked it up rubbing a cloth on it and put it back in the case. Looking closer I noticed it was the guitar I bought him for his birthday....I noticed a small little detail on the guitar that read 'Cherry Glory' WHAT! DID HE JUST NAME THE GUITAR AFTER A BLUSH I HAD AFTER HE OPENED THE GIFT! Feeling myself become red, Angus and Bodi went back to talking which I missed half of from being distracted "-I think it'll be perfect for the song collab" Bodi finished and Angus wrote some notes down nodding "Alright, We have a week to finish this song mate and I expect to see you early in the morning tomorrow to finish some of the lyrics and practice" Angus wrote a time on a piece of paper and gave it to Bodi, Bodi smiled brightly and hugged the slim cat "OH THANK YOU MR SCATTERGOOD I WON'T LET YOU DOWN!" Bodi shouts while Angus gasps from air reaching towards Glory making her laugh at his pain and feeling sad for him. She tapped Bodi's shoulder "Uh..Bodi don't kill him please?" That came out more like a question but Bodi looked down at the struggling cat in his arms as he lets go fast "Oh my gosh I am so sorry Angus!" He apologizes as Angus flops onto the floor breathing heavily

Angus breathes waving off the dog and gets up dusting himself off, Bodi leaves saying bye to everyone leaving Glory and Angus alone again, This was...kinda awkward? Angus was doing his own thing either picking up his stuff or trying to hide the fact his face was red, Was it because Bodi almost killed him or the fact something else was wrong. Glory walked over to him confused "Angus you alright? You are a little....red?" Glory asks a little concerned, Angus looked at her and cleared his throat trying to find his voice "I-i uh...didn't...clean myself up from the Cheeto’s I had with Chester...and...I may or may not of just....covered the front part of your body with...cheese dust" Angus's voice cracks a little, Glory looked down at her shirt seeing some cheese dust on her blue shirt.
